I bag the ruin as my utility overstable putt and approach disc.  Every disc in my bag must serve utility function in backhand and forehand shots with the exception of my putting putters.  I always carry one traditional and one glow variant of all of my discs.

The ruin serves multiple slots in my bag.  Its my go to approach disc inside of 300 for backhands and 200 for forehands.  If the hole is under 300 with few obstacles, I will reach for a ruin.  I bag the first run c blend which is by far the flattest i have seen and a black Friday color glow which has a bit of dome to it.  They both throw nearly the same but the flatter top of the first run serves a more comfortable feeling in my hand.

I bag a black Friday mf alpaca that is fairly overstable but i would prefer to throw the ruin on most of my shots,  The alpaca does not skip as much as the ruin but i am not comfortable with the alpaca on a forehand so i find myself reaching for the ruin more often.

When i began playing, someone taught me the basic hyzer rule of horizontal carry.  If you throw a disc on hyzer that never flips to flat, the height of the shot correlates to the fade.  If you throw a disc 80 ft high, it will fade close to 80 feet left on a rhbh hyzer,  The ruin breaks this rule in the best way.  Other utility overstable discs that i bag such as the innova gator3 or the infinte scepter are so overstable that they crash to the ground.  Understable approach discs such as my beat up anubis or chariot will show some high speed turn before fading.  The ruin will not turn on a full rip and seems to pick up glide as it fades.  This results in crazy horizontal carry on shots.  I love throwing the ruin on hyzers in the woods because it just keeps going.  While my Gator3 matches the first 260 feet of flight of the ruin, the ruin seems to carry longer.  I can trust it on long sweeping hyzers.  I choose to approach with the ruin on forehand shots because i can trust it to be torque resistant and dependable.

There are 3 shots on my local course that i know i will throw the ruin on.  One is a 300 ft hyzer with an OB sidewalk the length of the flight and within 03 feet of the pin.  The second hole is  200 ft low ceiling that must finish left and has OB within 20 feet of the pin long.  The ruin is perfect for both.  The last is a 600 ft par 4 that has OB right for the first 300 feet and OB left for the last 300 with two large trees preventing the max distance lines.  I throw my drive in between the two trees and have about 250 feet with the ruin on hyzer.  As long as i dont skip, the ruin is all i need.

    OS approach disc.

I would say on par with an Innova Gator as far as stability goes, maybe even a little sharper fade. More fade then a Zone for sure. Can hold up to more wind. Not quite as OS as a Justice but approaching that territory.

Feel is really where this disc let me down. It has a pretty sharp feeling smaller bead.

    I might call the fade a 3.5.

In the slot constantly battled out by the pig, zone, tactic, harp, etc., this disc officially kicked the rest out of my bag. Personality the bead gives me a much better sense of control and the fade is strong but not extreme like some of the others can be. It also seems to have the perfect amount of glide to where it won't plummet to the ground, but it also doesn't cause me much concern in the wind.

Wow. This thing is more stable. Compared to my harp, it is more OS but more glide. Really reliable in the wind, easy to trust on upshots. Because of its stability I can get it out to 175 feet max. My one issue is that the rim feels really weird on a forehand.

I love the ruin! I threw aviarx3's for a while but they were not as torque resistant as I wanted. Saw Drew Gibson's review of the ruin and how it knocked the zone outta his bag so figured id give it a try and fell in love! I've probably bought around 12 now! Haha great disc!

I've been bagging the C-Blend & I-Blend for over a year now and it's been my go to throwing putter type disc. Drives off the tee or approach shots, it has really been a multi-purpose disc for my game. The C-Blend goes straight with a reliable fade towards the end of flight. The I-Blend flies more overstable for me, so I can really torque on it and know it's fading back. For any shot under 285, I'm going with my Ruins. If your looking for an approach disc or putter off the tee, do your game a favorite and pick up a Ruin!

I got a Ruin to try out and I have to say it's a great approach disc. The first run feels like a a slightly slower Harp and it has a similar feel as well. For backhand throws it does really well on spike hyzers and slight anhyzer shots that fade back late. On forehand shots it holds an anny for a long time and fights out a bit late and the straight to fade lines are really nice. Overall it may be the best overstable slow disc to come from the Innova factory and if you like champion plastic try one out!

The Ruin has replaced several approach discs in my bag for it's extreme versatility and dependability. With two 175g C-blends in the bag, one fits the straight slot and a newer version handles anything that needs to hyzer. While I primarily throw the Ruin forehand, there are plenty of situations that I'll throw it backhand when there is wind, I need a slow left finish. This disc is not leaving my bag anytime soon.

The Ruin is a great choice to fill your "overstabe approach disc" slot. It is slow enough to sit softly on the greens, and has tons of glide when you want to power up on it while still maintaining a consistent finish.

I primarily use this for forehands, and I could use it interchangeably with a Zone or Harp in most occasions.

I'm afraid it took me too long to finally get my hands on one of these and become one of my favorite discs in my bag. the C-blend is amazing. super durable and yet still has a great grip. The bead at first was something that definitely took some time to get used to but i hardly even notice it now. The ruin is reliable in its slow, overstable flight. You can really put it out hard and expect it to come back at the end. I love using it for touch forehands around trees and slow hyzer shots that I'm expecting to sit down near the pin. Awesome disc, highly recommend you try one.

This is easily my favorite disc for forehand approach shots. It fits in my hand just right for forehand shots, and I constantly use it for short flick shots that I need to place accurately. Thrown flat it demonstrates very good glide with a predictable fade in the finish. It resists torque very well on a full-power drive and doesn't turn over very easily. Thrown on a hyzer it holds the hyzer angle I set it on very well. C-Blend plastic is very durable, and my Ruin has stood up to some pretty good abuse without changing flight characteristics almost at all. I would say the most direct comparison is the Caltrop (albeit without the thumbtrack) but the Ruin has more glide. The Ruin is a great approach disc for anyone who needs one.

Not as stable as a zone but great for over stable approaches and drives of the tee. Nice and flat which helps with forehand releases as has a very comfortable feel for backhands.

bought the c-blend a few weeks ago and it is already my favorite up shot disc in my bag. it can handle power on forehands or backhands and always ends with a fade. it can handle a high spike hyzer or a low straight power shot with a reliable fade at the end. it also stays true to the flight paths in the wind.

I LOVE this disc. For me this is the most consistent disc in my bag. I throw this disc for almost all of my upshots. It seems to take power really well when I'm trying to throw it a bit further. I am working on developing my forehand with it as well. This disc will take the torque and still give that consistent, reliable, and strong fade. I have a Hye8dye and recently ordered the C-blend as well. This disc will not come out of my bag!

This is my favorite approach disc at the moment. I am a huge fan of shallow putters, and this one is definitely in that category. The pair that I got are board flat, and I assume that all of them are that way. It makes for a great backhand and forehand approach disc. Great for windy days, reliable on calm days. If I were playing a one-disc round right now, and the course wasn't a long bomber, I'd for sure take this one with me.

I bought this disc with the intentions of learning to spin out and I knew it would force me to put more spin on the disc. It did just that and I have no complaints about my technique anymore. If you are familiar with the Innova line, this disc feels like a smaller champion RocX3. The plastic is spot on with champion plastic and the rim of the disc is almost identical to the Roc.

I have extremely small hands and this disc is by far my favorite in my bag due to its small lip. I keep two on hand, one for approach and the other for putts. The 175g is perfect for forehand shots that stay straight and low. Ironically it is a 3 fade but with a forehand it seems to be more of a 2 for me.

Love this disc! It has a comfortable low profile and flies perfectly for those overstable backhand approach shots. It tends to be a bit straighter on forehand, but still works nicely for getting around things and getting out of jail. I've been loving Infinite's disc line and this is a great addition! I see it staying in the bag for a long time to come.

I used this over-stable putter for those up shots that require a little more flex. I really enjoy throwing this disc backhand and forehand! Fun to watch this disc fly, and fun to throw!

The ruin is comfortable in the hand both forehand and backhand, with the flat top and somewhat beefy rim. Thrown hard off the tee it carries straight for about 2/3 of the flight and then has a hard fade. Thrown on a hyzer and it just carries the hyzer the whole flight, making it a great choice for shaping shorter holes curving to the left (RHBH). The concave shape of the rim lends towards some skips after landing, but usually it only seemed to be about enough to skip up to chain height and fall back down in about ten feet or less.

The Ruin is a disc that I became an instant fan of. Even before I even got to throw it, I liked it. It felt great in my hand, and from everything I had heard, I knew I was justifiably excited.

The Ruin is an overstable putt and approach disc, that will fill a similar slot to a Harp or Zone. It doesn't quite fill my hand like the Harp does; it has a slightly sharper bottom edge (also comparing a brand new Ruin to slightly seasoned Harp), but it feels very comfortable, and has a small enough rim I feel I can really control how it releases.

The C-Blend was quite flat, whereas the I-Blends I recently received have a slight dome to them. Both plastics feel great in the hand, and have just the right amount of tackiness to them. I am fairly partial to the I-Blend, so as long as the stability isn't drastically different, that will likely be the one I bag. It offers me a bit more grip, wears in nicely, and I have to admit I'm a frugal person and like the price point.

In the air the Ruin is awesome and has fulfilled all of my expectations. This is a truly stable approach disc that I will undoubtedly find many uses for. It's a great wind fighter, has a reliable fade, but isn't so overstable you can throw a nice anhyzer with it. I'm really excited to break in an I-Blend in and see how it flies; I'm anticipating pure magic.

I need to get in a little more comparative field work, but so far it seems a touch more stable than its counterparts. The Ruin is extremely fun to throw, very dependable, and readily fills a slot that everyone should be concerned about in their bag; whether for certain courses and adverse weather conditions - or like me, to have in there all the time, because it's just that fun to throw. I really look forward to putting this disc to work this season, and likely for many seasons to come.

I have been telling people about this disc for months while out on the course. After my first throw with it, it instantly made my bag. I keep saying it's the Justice of putters. Some other discs that this could be comparable to world be the Harp, Zone, Justice or Slammer. The rim and flight path for the Ruin are almost identical to the DD Justice which I use a lot. The profile is very low and the edge is angled inward which allows this disc to get some big skips. This is perfect for forehand, backhand when you want to fade hard and approachs. I would highly recommend getting one of these, its perfect for windy conditions and you will be very confident when throwing this disc.

The Ruin is an amazing new approach disc from Infinite (molded by Innova). This is truly the best approach disc so far, it's flat, beadless and fades hard. This is right up there with the Harp/Zone, maybe almost Justice-like. For me, it's my new favorite approach disc! It's what the Caiman and Gator wanted to be...

It flies straight out the hand for just a split second before beginning it's nice fade. It's very torque resistance, I can't turn it over to save my life. Awesome new disc!

My only complaint of the Ruin is that it isn't available in softer plastics....yet! I didn't think a disc could kick out my harp, but this may do the job. I've been waiting for Infinite to release a disc for shorter, more overstable approaches, and the Ruin is just that disc for me.

Very flat and fits in my hand for backhands and forehands alike. Also BEADLESS! It's such a comfortable feeling.

I've been using the Ruin for approach shots from ~200' and can comfortably bag it between my Tomb(For you infinite throwers) and my Justice. Slower arms can find a use for the Ruin as an overstable wind fighter and more experienced arms can reliably bag it for every type of approach shot. I highly recommend trying it and can't wait for more plastics should they be released.
