This has been one of my favorite discs, and this is my second review for it after playing several more I-Blend X-Outs. I am dropping it from 5 to 4.5 stars because I have thrown these replacement discs many more times than the original one that I lost, and it eventually just became too flippy to throw hard. I got them for a great price though, and they are still good now for my weaker throw (backhand still), and I'm replacing them with another Pharaoh with a different plastic (C-Blend), so hopefully that one flies the same as the I-Blends but holds the numbers longer. I still love this disc. Before it starts to get flippy, it flies as straight as an arrow when released flat (RHFH) for days and has a gentle fade at the end.

I never threw backhand drives until I got this, and it just flies like it is supposed everytime. Love this disc, highly recommend for other beginners.

When I first got this disc I really did not like it, I'm not even going to lie. I had taken 6 years off from playing and my arm was not where it needed to be, but after playing 7-12 rounds a week for the last few months this has become my go-to disc for long straight tunnel shots and overall distance. On a slight hyzer release this disc flips up to flat and rides straight as an arrow for 300-350ft before fading slightly at the end, with minimal skip. I genuinely think the Pharaoh is going to replace my Destroyer, on less windy days for sure.

This I blend was way more understable than I expected, but as I learn how to turn this thing over more, the more I'm learning to like it! This was my first experience with I blend and I love the grippiness of it. Excited to try the c blend as I was hoping to find a DDX alternative and the flight numbers were close. I also like the feel better than the ddx so if its even close it will be a staple in the bag.

I was hoping for something straight with not much fade but the one i received is very flippy. When thrown with decent hyzer it will flip up and ride to the right with just a smidgen of fade at the end going about 390'-410'. The disc feels great though and i just put it in my bag just not the slot i wanted.

This disc is not quite what I was expecting. I was hoping for a slightly faster but less overstable destroyer as the flight numbers suggested. What I received was a very domey and flippy disc with a slight but reliable fade. After throwing it a dozen or so times in a field, it became my furthest flying disc on a hyzer flip RHFH. Although it has became my max distance driver, apart from wide open holes it has limited use.

Since acquiring the I-Blend X-Out, I have also acquired a Gummy C-Blend which feels and flies very differently and is reviewed separately.

I am fairly new to disc golf and was looking for a driver that would really get me the distance I wanted. I was afraid reading reviews of other drivers that for beginner and intermediate players a 13 speed disc would have a huge fade at the end. The Pharaoh was the opposite and has allowed me to unlock new views to the courses I have been playing for over a year. I was able to get birdies on holes I never thought were possible since they were so long. A nice nose-down drive will easily fly over 300'. If I throw it nose-up though then it will have a big fade and only go about 180'.

When I read the description that says "The Pharaoh is the quintessential distance driver" I figured it was more of a hype to help advocate the disc... until I threw it. As a beginner just starting out about 6 months ago I had worked my way up to throwing around 275 and adding distance seemed to have slowed down to a crawl vs. those first few months were I seemed to be gaining distance every time I went out to play. The Pharaoh broke down the wall that seemed to be keeping me in stasis and just blew past my old max distance and is the first disc I have that passed the 300' barrier. One of my first throws with the Pharaoh was a Beautiful S curve past that 300'+ mark that just had me hooked (I finally got to understand the beauty & elation that a fantastic shot can give you, it was crazy and I will probably always remember it even if/as I grow and surpass my current abilities) and I find myself pulling this out of my bag every round I play as a go to staple. The best part is that while I am starting to get some of my other disc out to the 300' mark (DD3 & Hades which are amazing and easily some of the best distance drivers I have had a chance to throw... and added to my bag) this disc is one that I am the most consistent with.

I started recently, but with a lot of help from friends and the internet, have been gaining improved form. I baited myself into getting this driver as a disc to work into in the long run. On a whim, I took it out to the course to try out, assuming that it would dump out on my immediately and then go back in the bag for a year while I kept working on form.

Instead, I was pleased to find that it fit uniquely comfortably into my big, square hand. The rim profile was perfect, and I could get a confident grip even better than my ESP Undertaker, my previously most used disc off the tee for longer drives.

From a  standstill throw, my ESP Undertaker is a comfortable 280' at maybe 85% power from a one-step. With the same power on the Pharaoh, I hit 320' consistently on several drives with decent release angles and lines toward my target. It was a little hard to tell, but I think some of the added distance was due to the disc, and some of it was a slightly more natural, confident release due to the feel in my hand. This actually improved my Undertaker throws a bit since I had a better feel to compare them to. I don't yet have the greatest x-step, but I did squeeze maybe 15' more out of the Pharaoh on a couple decent pulls. This motivated me to start integrating the x-step into my field work.

The site says the "Run 3" I-blend is more understable. I don't know how to tell if I have a "Run 3", but I'm assuming that might be the case, because if it were truly a 13 6 -1 2, at my release speed it might dump faster at my armspeed Instead, it's my longest disc. I would give the I-blend a 13 6 -2 2 rating. I was able to get nice, flat releases. I feel like this disc has made me more confident to keep learning the benefits of smooth form. One of my friends pointed out that even for a newer player, sometimes you just find that one disc that feels right immediately, and it shows in your throws. For me, I think the Pharaoh is the one.

So all that said, I would say it's "neutral" for beginners - it depends a lot on how much time you spend on form to have a good base to work from. If I'd added it even a month ago, I probably wouldn't have gotten much out of it. But I'd say if you are consistently creeping up on that 300' barrier from a standstill, have gotten a lot of good feedback to improve your form, and are toying with the idea, give it a shot! For newer arms, the Run 3 I-blend might be an exciting new addition for you.

Edit 5.15.2021: A few rounds and fieldwork sessions later, and I continue to rave about this disc. I have compared it directly to a Champion Tern. In the I-blend plastic, the Pharaoh is more stable than the Tern at the same release speed and angle. The Tern will go maybe 15-20' further for me, but will land predictably more to the right because it keeps turning for almost its entire flight pattern (making the Tern more of an S-shot disc). In comparison, the Pharaoh stays pretty straight on a flat release out to ~350' with a predictable, gentle fade. For this reason, the Pharaoh continues to be my primary driver as I work on intermediate skills.

I have a lighter version of this disc and so a full power driver it is not. It is also not nearly the grip I am used on some of my discs, it feels slippery especially with just minor moisture. If I throw it as hard as I'm used to it turns turn over too quickly or I lose control completely. I have gotten drives that are just as far as some of my favorite drivers but not as consistently.

Where I have found a use for this disc is on more gentle flicks where I need a nice straight line. In other words a control driver. On smooth dirt fairway it tends to take a nice skip for an extra 10 or 15 feet. It seems to be holding up pretty well durability wise but I also throw it less than my other discs. With practice I was able to get just as far as some of my other drivers but with less power.

I have the i-blend x out pharaoh which was slightly stable brand new. But as I slowly beat it in it became a very straight flying disc. If I put full power on this disc I can get it to flip slowly and have a reliable fade at the end. This is my main side arm disc for max distance. And I love the feel of the mold.

    I own a 150 gram I-Blend and a 162 Swirly S-Blend.

I love the grip of the I-blend. Just perfect. My first throw with it sailed so far I just gawked at it, stunned. I tossed it 3 more times: Same result. It turned a bit, seemed to float forever once flat, then faded lightly. It behaved like my River, with 100 feet added. I would rate it 13/6/-1/-1...I've never seen anything go that far and stay so straight. I've finally found my distance driver!

The S-blend is incredibly overstable for me. I'd rate it 13/6/0/3. I just couldn't throw it flat or on hyzer without it fading quickly. When I threw it on anhyzer, I got it to go almost as far as the I-blend, but it took a lot of effort.

I'm going to beat the S-Blend a bit to break it in, and hope I get the I-blend flight in a more durable body.
