Need a little Magic in your game? This is a great disc for beginners. This straight flying putt and approach disc will help your game as it has minimal end-of-flight low-speed fade. The Magic is made to be easy to throw. The rim is designed with a gyroscopic weight distribution and a blunt nose that allows it to maintain its spinning motion longer. This great putter is available in several different Gateway plastics.

Love the magic, it’s all I put with if I need more stability I use a softer plastic such as SSSS, I have tried many putters including, lunas, the judge, avairs, Pd-2s, Rurus, and I know gateways wizard is super hot as a beaded putter but if you are looking for a super straight beardless putting putter and a good disc for Anny angles around corners, hyzer flips in the more firm plastic (for my arm speed), and I would be lost if I couldn’t use a forehand turnover with a magic. If you are still reading.. I got hooked on the Magic before ever throwing a PD-2 and once finally finding a PD-2 and throwing one I thought the magic was similar but for me I still preceded the magic. Also the Magic is easier to find and more reasonably priced considering people sell pd2 for ridiculous money. That’s my two cents, I have stockpiled small collection of Magic’s and thought I’d share my thoughts. Cheers!

I swear by this putter! Have one at 175g and one at 166g. The 175g feels stiffer than the 166g while the 166g feels a little grippier and seems to grab chains better. I like the feel of the release out of my hand a little more with the 175g but the 166g stays straight for longer and feels like it just floats. Mostly use the 166g when I have a tailwind or if I need to go up and over an obstacle. Can't use the 166g to drive with or approach from very far though it is definitely more understable. The 175g is my most used approach disc and is nice for wooded courses where low power control shots are needed. Got one of my friends into using this disc and my wife is now using one as well!

Great putter from Gateway discs. Gateway years ago was the leader in putting putters and the Magic is one of the original molds. The flight is very straight out of the box and will show more turn beat in.

As a putting putter the base plastic options grip the chains well and the Magic works great for spin or push putters. I personally don't love the depth of the putter (I prefer shallow), but will give it 5 stars because the flight is so wonderful.

This was one of the first discs I bought when I started and quickly became my favorite approach disc. Mine was around 170 grams in the super stupid soft, and it went right where I pointed it. I also loved the feel of it in my hand. I lost it one day in the woods, and every time I play that course now I take a quick look for it. I now have a Deputy for my overstable approach needs, but I just might go back to the magic. A great disc to be sure!

Great disc inside the 10m circle, nice and straight. Soft understable flight off the tee. Great disc for a quick solo round. Master the magic and you will be the David Copperfield of the disc golf course.

I don't reach for the Magic very often over my Wizards, but every once in a while, I'm glad I have it in the bag. These are great for soft turnover shots anywhere up to 200 ft (for me) that I don't want to fade back out. My Wizards will still try to fight back out of the anny line just at the last moment, but these will hold the line all the way to the ground. It's a nice disc for shorter tunnel shots too, thrown nice and easy, they'll hold a straight line. I use it for certain anny approach shots too. It's a great upshot disc - glidey with a soft landing. If it weren't for my beat to death SSS Wizard, I'd approach with the Magic the majority of the time.

Like I said, I don't go to it often, but when I need it, I'm glad it's there.

I use the Magic for the occasional putt or up shot that needs to turn a little to the right. It works pretty well and feels great.  Don't let the Super Stupid Soft moniker fool you, it isn't much softer than a DX disc from Innova.  If your goto putter is an Aviar or Judge, this will feel pretty similar but will give you a little more turn when you power it up.  Put it on an anhyzer and it will stay there if you throw it softly enough.

If you want an under stable putter that has no glide you might like this disc. It's rated as a 5 on glide, I don't agree with that. When it slows down it just dies.

I love the magic, nice understable putter and in Super Stupid Soft plastic it seems to melt into the chains.

Excellent understable putter. Little wrist, and it will go dead straight 40 feet. Blunt nose, slow disc. Not a great driving putter, but can be used for short anhyzers approaches. This is made by Gateway, so you can get whatever feel/flexibility you want. Unfortately, Gateways's plastic ratings are vague and vary drastically. "Soft" isn't very soft; it usually is fair stiff actually. How a "soft" disc will feel can vary drastically. The Super Stupid Soft tends to stick where it lands and not roll. Won't bounce off the basket to hard either.
