Need a little Magic in your game? This is a great disc for beginners. This straight flying putt and approach disc will help your game as it has minimal end-of-flight low-speed fade. The Magic is made to be easy to throw. The rim is designed with a gyroscopic weight distribution and a blunt nose that allows it to maintain its spinning motion longer. This great putter is available in several different Gateway plastics.

Most of the discs that I have in my collection are putters. With so many different molds I think it can be the most interesting part of the bag to try new things. It is very subjective, and most of it comes down to the feel.

I bought a bunch of putters from Gateway to give them a shot, and when I first used the Magic everything just clicked for me. It is by far my favorite putter. Feel in the hand, the disc feels effortless to get to the basket. The closest disc to a magic IMO is probably the Lat64 Keystone, but I prefer Gateway's putter plastic. I like the SS and SSS blends, grabs the chains, and sticks to the ground well on misses from long range.

    Magic 175g Super Soft review.

For all I know, this may be your best putter of all time. I'll never know because Gateway has decided to put raised lettering on the bottom of the flight plate. To me, it interferes with the feel of my fan grip and I've found myself missing to the right.

If the Magic has your interest, I recommend buying just one to see if you like it or not. Hopefully, you'll love it and buy a stack of these. Myself, I've moved on to the Dynamic Discs Deputy in their classic blend plastic.

I personally use champion-type plastic putters for throwing and short drives for grip consistency, so I can't offer feedback on the Magic for those duties.

The Magic is a nice understable putt and approach disc. I am a player that loves unstable mids and putters. I enjoy being able to hyzer flip or let my disc fade off to the right. (im RHBH) The magic is currently a throwing and putting putter for me. for a long time i had heard a lot of good things about Gateway and their putters. It took me 3/4 years to finally break down and get one and I don't regret it. I enjoy putting with understable putters so i was naturally drown to the Magic. While it hasn't been as glidey as i was hoping... It is a very nice straight flying putter. I would recommend this disc to any beginner for putting or throwing. I haven't used it in terribly windy conditions but it has done fine in 5/7 MPH winds when putting.

On a side note the super soft plastic is not very soft. It honestly feels a lot like most other companies base plastic for putters. I knew this before getting it so im very pleased. It has a slight chalky feel to it and is slightly stiff.

Ahh the Magic...This is my floaty circle 2 putter to complement my Wizard. I love the rim for being able to get a bit more spin from the 50-70ft range because I'm typically a spusher.

This thing is glidey, but not wimpy! I love it for long hyzers and also floats anhyzers because it will float the line and get you that extra distance, but I've also felt confidence in it even with winds.

Give it a try...this thing is named appropriately.

I was so frustrated with my putting before I found this disc that I used a fairway driver for a putter.  Once I discovered the magic it opened up a whole new world to me.  I am left handed and if I throw this disc just left of center of the basket from anywhere within 20 feet, the disc curls nicely into the chains.  This disc helped drop my score by more strokes than any other disc I have ever tried.

My go to putter. I throw soft putts and the understability helps with that a great deal. Less power means more stable which means this ends up being a lazer of a disc at low speeds. Very dependable. Not in any way a driving putter. Turbos okay.

The Magic is a good understable putter, if you're in the market for an understable putter. I don't, however, recommend this disc as a "go-to" putter for each and every shot. It cannot be depended on in any wind conditions, and that simply can't be avoided every day. I liked this disc and tried to make it my main putter, but I've since moved on to other putters that I find to be more reliable. I also found this disc to turn over too easily off the tee. That being said, I still use it occasionally if I need an understable approach shot. It's a disc that does its job well, but it only does one job.

This is one of my first experiences with Gateway and I was not disappointed. The hpp magic is the putter to get. It was my go to approach and upshot disc, always finishing under the basket. I traded my hpp magic for a super glow wizard, and he now pelutts better than I ever did with it! Combo up a hpp warlock with an hpp magic, and watch your putting game excell super fast! Great beginner putter or great go back to putter to work on fundamentals. Hpp or super soft.

I liked the flight of the magic, but i wasn't able to develop confidence in it. I think mostly because there are so many different plastic runs by Gateway. If you were able to feel them all before buying, that would solve that problem but I had to order online. There is not much difference between my SS and my SSS except the black SSS always feels dusty. I have since started trying out a zero line Pure and like the feel of that plastic better so far.

simply the best understable putter on the market. super straight and highly controllable. i love using this disc for anny approach shots. i used it as a main putter for awhile but you do lose some dependability in the wind so i switched over to using Wizards
