This disc is great! In baseline plastic I have seen these get super flippy (unuseable) but in lucid or fuzion these discs are a workhorse. At the end of the day, I prefer a buzzz despite throwing mostly DD plastic. This disc is a great option and I don't think you can go wrong.

I bag two Truths, one in lucid plastic and another in the fuzion blend.  I exclusively throw these discs RHFH as I prefer other midranges for RHBH (Buzzz, Roc3, and Compass).  It is nice to throw backhand, again, I just prefer other midranges backhand.  The fuzion blend is beat to perfection, and is one of my go to discs when scrambling in the woods; it just holds any line I put it on perfectly.  A true staple in my bag.  The Lucid version is good as well, and tends to be my go to disc for touchy forehand shots in the woods off the tee.  This disc in Lucid plastic reliably hisser flips up to flat for me for a nice dead straight flight; it also isn't too bad for touchy little flex shots 250 and under.

The Truth is definitely a straight flyer, and thus not very torque resistant. If you throw it too hard, it will turn over on you.  So if you're a player who likes to crank on an overstable disc letting the disc do most of the work, this might not be the disc for you.  On a positive, it will teach you what you're doing wrong!  I have quite a bit of power in my forehand, so I have to really get the speed right when I throw this disc.  Over the past two years or so that I've thrown the Truth, it has been a good teacher.

Bottom Line: The Truth is a solid, straight flying midrange that is beginner friendly.  For my game, it excels in the woods for touchy RHFH shots.

This was the first true straight flying mid for me when my max distance was around 300'. At that power, it's reliable and predictable. Once I improved, I found it was in a weird spot in that it was still a shade too OS to use as my US mid but too US to use as a workhorse. Great with a tailwind though. Overall a really good, beginner friendly disc.

The Truth was one of the first discs I received when I started disc golf. For me, it has been very straight flying slightly understable midrange. I have heard compare the Truth to the Buzzz, but in my opinion, it is more like a beat in Jawbreaker wasp with a little more stability.

The Truth is a very versatile disc. I throw the Truth on shots that need to go straight with a little fade for a little turn. At moderate speeds, throwing the Truth on a flay release with result in straight flight and a gentle fade. At faster speeds, the Truth should be thrown on a hyzer to that it can flip up, turn, and fade. You can also throw the Truth at high speeds on a flat release to get it to turn throughout the entire flight. The only thing to be aware of is trying to throw a low power anhyzer shot. At lower speeds, the Truth tends to fight out of the anhyzer line. I personally opt for a putter or a more under stable midrange in these situations.

Overall, the Truth is a great beginner to advanced player disc. I keep this disc in my bag no matter what course I play. It is one of my most used discs off the tee, in the fairway, and in the rough. Give the Truth a try, you will not be disappointed.

    Lucid - 171g - Intermediate

Moderate arm speed this thing has lots of shapes. SUPER glidy. It's not a true straight flier but it is an excellent, controllable distant mid.I love this for 150ft turnovers, subtle hyzerflips, or long hyzers. Not as advertised but slots in perfectly as a stable mid

This is an absolute bomber mid range. I can throw A mid range typically around 330 to 340 but I can reach this one up to 360+. It has the perfect natural baby flex line when thrown flat. It flips up and turns just a little bit and comes back just a little bit. This is one disc that I trust the flight numbers on completely. It does it every time. It doesn't turn and burn but gets a good bit of extra distance because of the small turn. In a headwind it can be touchy and I don't use it then but if it is not windy and I need a long mid shot through a tunnel I will always reach for the truth. I have one in fuzion and lucid and they fly the same for me. Every discgolfer needs a disc like this

The Truth is my go-to midrange and I would highly recommend it to other recreational/intermediate level players such as myself. It has an overall pretty neutral flight. This dis has very little dome and fits great in the hand; I always seem to release it smoothly no matter the conditions. The amount of glide allows me to use it as a pseudo fairway driver. The Truth will hold essentially any line if thrown with the right amount of power. I enjoy the Truth's slightly more understable flight as compared to the eMac Truth. It can handle a fair amount of power. That being said, I wouldn't recommend depending heavily on this disc in windy conditions. I tend to throw this disc for straight wooded shots or long, slow-fading hyzers. If you want to throw big power hyzers or have a bit more armspeed, go with the eMac Truth. Otherwise, definitely try out the Truth to change your midrange game.

Note: My Lucid Truth flies much more stable than my prime Truth even with the prime being a newer disc.

I'd compare the Truth to a slightly flippier Buzzz, so more along the lines of a Buzzz SS. It's got a straight flight for medium arm-speed, though faster arms can turn it over a little too much. But for short holes where you need to hold a line, perhaps with low ceiling, this should word great. It's very glidy and will finish straight. It's a good complement for the Emac Truth in the same vein of Buzzz SS/Buzzz

If I need a mid to go 220' and straight you know what I'm grabbing.  My average drive (with a fairway) is 260' and this mid goes dead straight for me.  It has a little bit of flip for me with a pretty moderate fade.  Holds it's whatever line you put it on very well, the only reason for the 4 stars is that sometimes if I really get on it, it will flip a lot more than usual - you would expect this to happen, but it just seems like its good or its bad, no meh.  I would probably give this to the very moderate fade as it will be less reliable.  Other than that, this thing rips!

I chose the Lucid plastic for a more Over-stable flight. The Lucid Truth flies very straight and has a moderate fade. When thrown flat, the Truth with demonstrate high speed turn, glide, and then fade a little. I tend to throw my Truth on hyzer flips, and can reach up to 360ft on a backhand drive.

The Lucid Truth holds any line I throw it on and I could not recommend this disc enough.

Ive stepped up to emac truth, and lost my lucid in trees, and moonshine disc is retired.  But after writing im going to have get a new one. Either your a roc guy, or buzz guy, Im a truth a guy. This is one of my favorite discs in my bag! its a point and shoot, laser beam mid range that will do whatever you tell it to. the lucid plastic feels amazing and is so durable! this is the straightest flying disc in my bag. I throw it at 80% power or less and its great! more power than that and i would risk turning it over, but if you throw this disc how its intended, it would be a great addition to any bag! and did i mention the lucid plastic!!! I'm ordering another one in lucid and one in fuzion to start layering this disc in my bag!

The Lucid Truth is a fantastic all around mid range for beginners and experienced players. Newer players will find this disc to fly straight with a reliable fade/finish. While experienced players will find this is a great point and shoot midrange, that can fly on hyzer, straight, or anhyzer. The Truth flies further than most ranges due to its speed and glide, and its neutral flight can help anyone improve their form. If you like the feel of the Truth but want more stability, try the Emac Truth. Or if you want less stability, try the BioFuzion Truth.

I have a 173g Truth in Lucid Plastic. I bought this when I was searching for a good stable to understable midrange disc. If I throw it flat and hard it will gently turn to the right (RHBH) and flatten out before it hits the ground. If I throw it on a hyzer line, it will pop up to flat and fly very straight. It is a bit touchy but that's what you get with a disc like this. The glide on this disc is fantastic and helps someone like me get some extra distance. It's pretty comfortable for me, on the shallow side but not too shallow for me. I also throw a Verdict and the rims are very similar, so it's nice to have 2 molds that feel almost the same in the hand. I bag a Compass sometimes and I like that disc but I wanted something just a touch more understable than that and that's what I found in the Truth. I think the only thing I would want to change about this disc is a heavier weight - I got 173g but with how flippy this disc is, I think I would like to try 177-180g.

With some power, the Truth will hold exactly the angle you put it on from the second it leaves your hand to the moment it begins to fade. If you power up further on it, it can be made to stand up and fly straight, and will reliably fade forward at the end of its flight. It reminds me of a slightly more stable Mako3.

The Truth is a neutral flying midrange from Dynamic Discs. The Truth is a very comfortable flat top disc. It has a nice low profile that makes for clean releases. The Lucid plastic feels great in the hand and is very durable. I was expecting a bit more stable flight from the Truth out of the box, but I was able to get some turn without even throwing full power. This makes for a nice shot shaping disc that can throw a variety of lines, but I would have liked the added stability. Its flight reminded me of a worn in Buzzz. This would make for a nice disc for newer players to the game.

People talk about the emac truth all the time and for good reason. The Truth is a great compliment to the the emac, because it is great for long midrange shots that are dead straight. I can reach up to 300 feet with almost no left or right movement. Most of the time the challenge is to not go past the basket! A great disc to forehand in the woods too.

Despite living in the shadow of its EMac cousin, the regular Truth is a great little midrange too, and most amateurs will actually find it easier to throw because it's a little more understable than its big brother. I give it 4 stars just because I prefer the Evidence in this slot, but there's nothing wrong with a Truth.

I actually throw the regular Truth more than my Emac which is quite stable. This Truth flies neutral to only slightly stable, but I like that type of straight shot. I'm not a power hyzer guy.

Comfortable in the hand, glides for days, will hold any angle or line, and handles all but the strongest headwinds. I would recommend for anyone looking for a dependable, straight midrange.

When these were released originally the numbers were closer to 5 5 0 2. Now they have become much more undertsable. If you want a turn over mid that feels great in the hand with lots of glide and that's flat, get this Truth. If you want a mid that feels great in the hand with lots of glide and that's flat that is straight with nice low speed fade, get the EMac Truth.

I picked up a few of these as practice discs. I'm working on my form and footwork on both back and forehand throws. I've found that these are good for that, if you're a little off on a part of your throw you can quickly identify where you went wrong. They are more understand than advertised. For that reason they have been helpful for my forehand form forcing me to make my wrist more flexible to put more hyzer on the throws, which I naturally turn my wrist over a good bit. I haven't replaced the Buzzzs in my bag with a Truth yet. Might happen soon but I'm still attached to the Buzzz they seem a little more forgiving.

The two star rating is absolutely biased, resulting from a dedication to the maker of my favorite disc, the Z Buzzz. In truth (ha), based soley on the disc itself, I'd give it a 4.  DD came out with the Truth when Eric McCabe joined the company from Discraft....which is why it's nearly an exact copy of the Buzzz, which he said was, and I quote, "The greatest disc ever made". The Truth I tossed (max weight lucid) had more turn than my 177+ flat top Z Buzzz's, but from what I hear most of them are pretty similar. (They definitely look and feel similar.) That being the case, why throw the copy when you can throw the original?  I bag a Felon over a Predator or Firebird because in my opinion, it by far, has the best hand feel of the speed 9 meethooks, but if I had to choose between the near identical Buzzz and Truth, I'm going with the manufacturer who has over 30 years invested in the game and produces discs here in America.

I purchased a truth because of the popularity the disc. I was a little disappointed by what I received. The disc has a good rim and feels nice in the hand, but I did not like the flight of the disc. It was not as stable as it said and it didn't seem to fly very consistently for me. I could get some excellent throws with the disc, but the next time out it would not give the same flight and it was frustrating. I ended up pulling it from my bag and eventually replaced it with the EMac Truth which was much better and more consistent.

The Lucid Truth has quickly become one of the most used mid-ranges in my bag. It has the potential to be shaped and thrown on any line. I have a 178g in my bag that never leaves. If I had to choose one disc to play a round with, the Lucid Truth would be the one.

I generally use my Truth for strait lines, directly at my target. Full power it turns over a bit, but fights and goes pretty strait. On a hyzer it will pop up a bit then go strait, on an anhyzer it will slowly flatten out and produce a great steady line. This disc is extremely versatile and a very important tool in my bag.

Compared to the newer EMac Truth, the regular Truth is noticeably more understable. However, I like this about it because it seems to be more shapeable. The Truth can also give some awesome, consistent flight. This disc can also get out there with some of my favorite drivers, not quite as far, but it goes.

Overall the Truth is a very trustworthy disc that can do it all. Everyone should try the Truth, and in probably bag it too :)

The Truth is a Buzzz that feels slightly lower profile. It glides for days, holds almost any line with good stability. The lucid plastic is near indestructible and feels great.

The only complaint I have about it is that it goes farther that I ususally like to throw a mid.

I like a good stable mid like a Roc or Bard, and since this is a little less stable it goes blowing by baskets I usually park with those discs.

Great mid, can't wait to try the EMac version.

The Truth is exactly as advertised. My very first throw with it was straight with a gentle fade; I was sold. And it does everything else you need a midrange to do. I found the factory ratings to slightly vary depending on plastic type and weight, but it is definitely a straight flier that will be the workhorse mid for Trilogy fans.

Heavier weights will have a touch more stability, making turnovers require more power to stay turned over. Middle weights and lighter weights will be a little straighter and better for beginners. Lucid is my preferred plastic for stability, with Moonshine being similar. Fuzion, BioFuzion and Fluid will be more towards the understable side, while still being fairly true to the numbers.

The Truth is one of the top mids out there for a reason. It's capable of performing every midrange shot you'll need to take.

The Truth is a flat topped shallower rimmed straight midrange.  Both the Buzz and the Roc have spent time in my bag and they are both great discs.  I now bag a Truth because I like the shallower rim and flat top.  I get a superior release with this disc. The truth goes a little further than a Buzz or Roc3  probably because it is SLIGHTLY less stable. I like this aspect because it gives me more touch on 250' shots.  I can throw the truth with 80% power and still see minimal fade.  I use this disc when a straight shot is required so less overstablility works to that advantage.  Very similar to a Shark3 only flatter and easier to release.  I liked my Rocs better after they beat in a bit, the truth is like a 3 month old Roc.

I like the Opto Plastic.  BioFusion is OK if you like grippy midranges.  I do not recommend Fusion.  Too slick and stiff for a premium grip plastic. I like heavy Mids near 180g.

I also recommend the Fuse and the Verdict as good compliments to round out your midrange game.

I normally throw a buzzz for my straight flying midrange and i heard the truth was the better choice and it wasn't even close. It's numbers are 5-5-0-2 but they flew like a 5-5-(-1.5)-2 even in a tail wind. Highly disappointed in the disc,

I bought this disc recently at 170 grams in Lucid plastic.  I've tried quite a few stable to slightly overstable mids (buzzz, wasp, ibex, obex, mako3) and I have never been entirely satisfied with them.

I haven't used my truth that much yet, but I love it so far.  This disc doesn't turn when thrown full power in calm conditions.  It has a reliable fade at the end of its flight, but doesn't fade especially hard.  It feels really great in my hand and it is really easy to release cleanly and exactly where I intend.  It also seems pretty long for a mid.  I may update this review as I get more experience with the disc, but it is definitely a 5 star disc based on what I've seen so far.

Buzz, Roc, Roc3, M2, etc. Tried all of those over time and nothing besides the M2 came close to this thing. If you had to play a round with just one disc I would say you could do it with just this one. The Truth is an absolutely amazing disc. It has a nice stable flight with an ending fade that is very predictable. Any holes under 200ft, any approches over 150ft, the Truth is getting pulled out. I have this paired with a vedict and fuse and it's an absolutely awesome combo. However, be careful with this thing as it's sneeky long. I used to use it to approch shorter distance, and I kept over throwing the basket. I could fix this by just slowing down, but just started using my putter more.

    Amazing disc! Get one!

I happened to luck into find ones these at my local courses. It has a custom dye, lucid plastic weighing in at 178g. Being quite the beginner at the time, I had a heck of time learning to throw this. When first using this, due to the weight I had trouble not diving it 30ft in front of me. Then not to mention, if you release it even slightly hyzer or anhyzer, it will hold that angle through until it crashes. Though it taught me proper form for RHBH.

However this is by far my favorite disc. With a heavy weight, it's great for headwinds. If I had a one disc challenge, this would be it. It'll go straight as straight can't be until it fades to the right. If for some reason your throw is shorter than expected, this disc skips beautifully. The only downside that I have found, is that it rolls a lot. Im not sure about using it as a roller, but none the less, if you're approaching on a hillside, be wary of it rolling away. Using it for anhyzer, if it's high enough,  you'll get a perfect S-curve. If it's windy, I even use it to putt.

This disc perfected my game and is a go to whenever I'm unsure of what disc to use.

A true Roc killer. This midrange has been a true game changer. The Truth is a super straight flyer with very predictable fade. My favorite thing about the Truth is how comfortable it feels in the hand.

Really like the truth. Long glide for those that can't throw as far as most. Suprisingly stable once you get use to it. I can throw mind with confidence knowing i'll get that finish to the left that I need. Some other mids will flip too much. Haven't had that happen to the Truth. Great disc.

I have had issues with mids but I recently bought a lucid Truth and I am amazed at how far I can get this disc. I can put a lot on it and still know where its gonna go, very reliable.

I feel that this is a slightly more stabe version of a 10 Year with a nicer price tag. It is my go to when I want an stable to over stable mid.

Control Mid that will wow you!

Fan of an awesome mid-range that will do whatever you ask it? Grab a Truth! For most throwers, the Truth will be a dead-straight disc with a predictable small fade. Power on it, and it will turn, and sometimes wont come back. It is a bit touchy, but once you find that 'sweet spot' the Truth will never dissapoint.

However, it does not handle headwinds very well. Find something a little more stable if you're looking for a wind fighter.

BUT, if you're looking for a finesse, or 'do it all' midrange, the Truth is the answer!

Great true flyer! Use it for all of my straight tunnel shots. Similar flight path to the BUZZZ, but this plastic is so much nicer in the hand.

The Truth has become my main midrange. I have a few in a variety of plastics and stabilities. The disc flies straight with a predictable fade when thrown flat, it'll eventually fight out of an anny, and makes for a solid approach disc on a hyzer line. It's not quite as stable as a Roc when brand new, but wow is it a fantastic disc. I definitely recommend picking one up. Like, right now. For real.
