As a throwing putter... the Slammer is a great disc! Very reliably overstable... even in the wind. I have only thrown it in the Classic Blend because I preferred the grippyness in the hand and the grab it has when it hits the ground but im sure it is just as good in the premium plastics. The thumbtrack on the top doesn't make it feel weird in your hand like you would think if you were to just see a picture of the disc. If you need something for short hooky shots in the woods, grab a slammer for sure! Now as a putting putter, I would not recommend it unless its a super windy day and you want something to fight the wind. In that case... go for it if you please. I have the Slammer in 3 plastic types.....Classic Blend, Classic Soft Burst, and Fluid. All are 175g.

I freaking love this disc. I was using my Wizards for approach shot for a quite a while. Then i decided i wanted something more overstable with less glide. Enter the Slammer. This disc has made my already solid approach game even better. I don't have to worry about this disc sailing off on me. It goes as far as the power you put into it. If thrown hard it will go straight for a good 150' then start to fade. If thrown slow it will have a nice predictable hyzer flight. The fade on the disc is not beefy but nice and predictable. I really like to use a forehand approach and this disc makes it look easy(so I've been told). Anything under 175' and this disc is money for me. My go to is my Disc Golf Experience Fluid Slammer. I use my Classic Blend for windy day putts and my Classic Soft for wooded approaches or shots where i need the disc to stick with very little skip or slide.

Kicked the Harp out of my bag first and then kicked the Zone out not too long after. Once I break in my blend Slammer a little more and get some of its low speed fade gone, it might even kick my Fluid Judge out too. I have a blend Slammer and a Fluid Slammer from the Nissan Stadium tournament. My fluid one is almost strictly for forehands that I need to fade hard. My blend one is a bit more versatile. For forehands with any power, it basically goes straight with a good bit of glide and maybe a small bit of fade at the end, and for backhands (which are weaker for me than forehands, especially approaching), it has a very reliable fade with almost zero glide. These Slammers almost kicked out my overstable midranges (except the Justice) from my bag because I would just reach for them and throw them harder until I realized that I was still missing about 30' of distance and brought my Verdict back out for longer overstable approaches. The Slammer is definitely my main preference for anything under 150'.

This Disc is by far one of the best discs ever! It is NOT as overstable as they claim! It is very straight with a reliable fade left! Will hold any sidearm or backhand line with an overstable finish! This disc is awesome off the tee, in the fairway or for just an in the circle touch upshot! I can always rely on my slammers to get me to the basket! I can not wait till Dynamic releases the Lucid Slammers! If you have a powerful arm speed this disc is money in your bag (and hopefully in your pocket!) My favorite discs in the bag!

When it comes to really overstable, Dynamic Discs does not mess around. Like the Justice, which is the most overstable midrange on the market, the Slammer is the most overstable putt and approach disc I have ever thrown.

I tested out a Black 175g Slammer in new condition. This disc hyzers out as soon as it leaves my hand. The max distance I can ever get out of it as about 210 feet, making this disc perfect for placement shots where you don't want to turn over, and you don't want to fly too far. The slammer has almost no glide to it.

When it comes to putting, I actually really like the feel of the slammer and the Thumb Trac, but this disc is just way to overstable and lacks glide so much my putting percentage with this disc is terrible. Most putts ended up short for me, and when I would aim high to try and negate the lack of fade, the slammer would often fade out early and chain off left. I would love to see trilogy come out with a more understable, glidey thumb track disc to use as a putter, but the slammer is definitely not it. Most people will probably only use the Slammer if they are putting into a strong headwind.

If you love really overstable discs that will be sure to keep you out of trouble, you'll want to try the DD Slammer.

I have been playing around with the Slammer for a while now and am definitely a fan. I would say that the Slammer fits in to a similar slot as the Caltrop, Harp, Sinus etc. I started with the Zero Hard Sinus, then because of the sharp lip I moved to the BT Hard Harp which feels a little better in my hand. I really wanted to compare them all side by side, but haven't had the chance yet, I will update the review after I have.

The Slammer seems to be the most stable mold compared to the Harp, Sinus, and Caltrop. I am really looking forward to the release of the Slammer in Classic plastic because I prefer firmer plastics. I am generally not a huge fan of thumb-tracks, but both the Caltrop and the Slammer feel great in the hand. I throw some shallow molds (like the Pure for a putter) so the thumb-track makes it feel more shallow, which I like.

In terms of stability this disc is awesome. As I mentioned, it is the most stable when compared to the Sinus, Harp, and Caltrop (in all of my testing so far) and is therefore very dependable. I can put a ton of power on this disc off the tee and it doesn't turn. It's great on very line: hyzers, flat to fade, anhyzer flex etc. Because of the thumb-track and shallow feeling it creates, I grip-lock it a lot less off the tee. Sometimes with deeper putters and midranges my fingers get caught inside the rim. With the Slammer this wasn't as much of an issue, even with the softer "Blend" plastic. I highly recommend this disc to anyone looking to fill the OS putter slot in their bag. I cannot wait for this disc to be released in some more plastics (as I write this I believe I saw some GBO talk of Lucid releases too!)

Overall the Slammer is a must get. Very stable - great off the tee and for upshots. I also had a great time shaping it whether it was on a glidy hyzer or flexing out of a steep anhyzer. I have the feeling this may challenge my BT Hard Harp once it's released in regular Classic.

I'm a fan of the Dynamic Discs Justice. As a beefy, overstable mid-range, it is one of the best. Now Dynamic Discs has introduced the putter version of the Justice. You could say that it is a Justice with shorter range and a deeper rim. It has a flat top with a thumb track which makes it quite comfortably to throw, especially for forehand throwers. It is almost like merging a Justice and a Harp for an overstable approach disc that can be flicked with great accuracy.

I primarily throw backhand, and I gave the Slammer a few cranks to see what it could do, and I could see it working great for me as an overstable approach disc. The only downside for me when throwing this backhand is that it has a deeper rim than I prefer for discs thrown at higher speeds. I'll probably stick to my beloved A4 for overstable approaches because of its more shallow rim. But even though I rarely throw forehand, the Slammer made me want to flick it over and over again. I started to believe I found a disc that I really like to throw forehand. That thumb track just made it feel all the more natural to hold it for those forehand shots.

I give the Slammer five stars, but with the understanding that it is NOT a go-to finesse putter. It is primarily an approach disc (like the Harp), unless you're putting into a strong headwind. It is also not a disc I'd hand to a beginner for any reason. They'd have to figure out the game and develop some throwing technique before really making use of a disc like the Slammer. For experienced players, this one will be a hit.
