The Slammer is a flat topped over stable putter with a medium to deep rim and small ridge at the end of the flight plate. The ridge is not very pronounced and does not distract to the feel in the hand. This disc will shine for players looking to control distance on upshots or for players who play in gusty environments as it fights wind extremely well. The low glide provides control and alleviates the worry of this disc floating past your intended landing zone and due to the slower speed lands softly without much ground action. Although the Slammer is over stable the fade is very controllable. It does get to the ground quickly, but does not dump incredibly far to the left (for a right handed backhand). The Slammer feels very comfortable for forehands due to the flat top and handles torque extremely well. My favorite shot to throw the Slammer for is forehand anhyzer scramble shots when I need the disc to pan to the left (for right handed forehands) and have enough stability to hold the angle before fighting out and landing flat. If you are looking for a controllable throwing putter that can handle torque and fight wind, this is your disc. The only type of player that I would not recommend the Slammer for are those who prefer a more shallow feel for their upshot disc as the rim has a fairly deep feel.

It is... not good. It is outclassed by almost every other approach putter IMO. If you like Dynamic you should probably just get a harp instead

Thumbtrac is thew greatest invention ever, the patent holder deserves a prize of the Nobel sort. I am so proud to be an advocate for this disc: it is the best putter I have ever forehanded.

Unlike a Pig, which is a great disc, the Slammer will go straight out of the box with predictable hyzer in calm conditions. With a headwind it will flip up, but not over, making it a valuable tool 365 days/year.

The slammer is the DD overstable approach putter that any player who loves DD or wants to throw DD only needs. It is very similar to a zone, harp, or pig, but to me it resembles the pig the most. It has really low glide and will not go that far for you but is perfect for throwing into wind and on short approach or drives. Any player that does not have an overstable approach disc needs to join the bandwagon and get one because they are life changing. The slammer was a really nice feeling disc and I enjoy the flight out of it just not as much as the more glidey, overstable discs. I feel like a slammer is a great introduction to overstable approach discs and you may fall in love with it and never get anything else. For me I find my zones/harps to be more consistent and I can work them a lot more than trying to really throw hard or far with a pig/slammer. The classic blend plastic does get beat in and with enough use of the disc which could allow this disc to get more flippy and give you some more options to throw this disc. I think the thumbtrack is really nice for backhands but could be slightly anoying for forehands.

This is disc is the perfect overstable approach discs.  it gets a great straight flight with a great finish.  It is perfect for approach shots with the stickiness since it can just sit wherever it lands.  The thumbtrack feels great for these accurate approach shots it makes me feel that much more in control of where the disc goes. I have even resorted to this when putting in high wind because the overstability is very helpful

Wanted to see how the Slammer compares to the Harp. The divit (for lack of better term) atop of flight plate is...odd. I now own a few Slammers, but I ended up bagging the Harp.

As a former Ultimate player, I was happy with the plate-like feel of the Slammer. The thumb groove and size of the disc make it comfortable and familiar in my hand. I typically use it for putts and approaches outside of Circle 1, then clean things up with a Banger GT (Jawbreaker). I've started to throw this forehand, as well, and am really dialing it in. The Slammer always has a place in my bag!

The Slammer is an supposed to be an overstable putter from Dynamic discs, but I found it to be a stable flyer, not overstable. It has a feel similar to a Rhyno with the thumbtrack, and the classic blend plastic was very grippy. The flight of the disc was straight when given some power, with some late, mild fade. It handles the wind very well, and works off the tee and on upshots best for me. Inside the circle, this disc is a bit too stable for my liking, but a nice disc overall.

    175 G Classic Slammer

I love a good Harp but I was looking for an OS replacement that was a little less deep in the rim. In comes the Slammer! I actually really enjoyed the Slammer, and gave it a few months of run before reviewing it. It has a nice predictable overstable flight that is suitable for both backhand and forehand. For my money, it is not quite as OS as a Harp is. It does have a nice flat profile, but also has a Thumbtrack which is not preferred by me. All in all a good disc, but couldn't quite kick the Harp out of my bag.

I love the slammer. Yes, it is overstable, but I feel that being overstable makes it an amazing approach disc. I know exactly what its going to do when I let it go. This replaced the harp in my bag. I really enjoy the thumb track, and how it feels in my hand. I'm not a big putter thrower, but this disc is bringing me around to the trowing side of putters. I have it in lucid and classic plastics, and I prefer to throw it in Classic.

Just picked up a 174g classic Slammer.  After five or six rounds with it, I don't see it ever coming out of my bag.  When thrown hard it goes dead straight with a reliable, but not severe fade.  Thrown with less power it is very overstable.  I don't have a huge arm, but I can turnover every putter in my bag rather easily except for this one.  No matter how much power I put behind it, this disc just refuses to turn.  Had 15-20mph winds blowing today and it wouldn't show the slightest hint of turn in the headwind throws.  A solid tailwind will push it down sooner than you would want though and may not be the best disc to throw with a tailwind blowing hard.  Also performed well putting in windy conditions.  I would say the flight characteristics are true to the numbers assigned.  Awesome disc and is the overstable throwing putter Ive been looking for to fill that hole in my bag.

    HARP THROWERS, WATCH OUT!

The Slammer is seriously OS, but workably so. The fact that it's a putter gives it heaps of controllability, yet the OS nature of the disc allows you to throw with total confidence into a headwind. I threw a 175g Classic Slammer into a strong headwind, downhill, and it held a perfectly straight line all the way without tipping over at all, the lofty fade then kicked in at the end of flight. The Slammer still held with both a stiff headwind and the additional pull of gravity downward. Compared to the Harp, I would say this is equally as high speed overstable but somehow has a touch more glide. The Harp seems to have more low speed overstability, causing it to fall out of the air more aggressively at the end. I could be wrong about this, as I played my only round with the Slammer in a lot of wind.

In the end, I highly recommend the Slammer for those who are looking for an ultra reliable OS throwing putter.
