I love this disc. I don't have much distance when I drive but this disc is straight with a dependable finish and the end. Great for beginners to intermediate.

If you are looking to get into higher speed drivers, the Vulture is a great place to start! With its glide and low resistance to high speed turn, the Vulture will give even slower arms great distance with small effort! See what else makes the Vulture great in this review!

For advanced players, this disc thrown hard and flat can have a straight flight for 300 feet or so and the begin to fade to around 350, for most players this disc will be on the stable side and require a flex shot to get a full flight out of it. Consistent and similar to a Anax, slightly less glide.

This disc is a good disc for head wind situations. I would say the stats are accurate. Make sure if you by this disc that you have the arm speed otherwise the disc will stall out and start fading pretty quick. would not recommend for flower arm speeds. I use it for hyzer shots, flex shots and forehand and the disc does pretty well.

Awesome disc. It is similar to a beat in Thunderbird right out of the box, but it has more turn. I previously bagged three Thunderbirds, and this disc took the spot of my flippy, 163g G* Thunderbird. If you are looking for a truly stable disc that does not turn over, this is not it. If you are looking for something that flips a little bit and will ride the HST for along time with an incredibly reliable and minimal fade, this is it.

Fantastic higher speed fairway driver from Discraft. This one has a somewhat unique rim shape, coming from a guy who has thrown a lot of Trilogy and Innova. It is very "sharp" for lack of a better word. The bottom has a very pronounced x-wing and the edge of the flight plate becomes very "narrow" and pointed, vs a blunted edge like on a firebird, felon, or convict. Definitely feel before you buy on this one. I personally love the feel of this disc, I get a solid grip due to the pronounced x-wing profile, but I know there are guys who will prefer the feel of a Thunderbird or Getaway for this slot. The shoulder has some height to it, but the rest of the flight plate is flat. Very comfortable fh and bh. This is the first disc Ive used in the updated Ti plastic - I'm loving it! Stiff and far more durable gstar is the best way for me to describe it. It could be my favorite plastic ever.

Flight wise the Vulture is definitely a tick faster than the Thunderbird or Getaway. I attribute this to the sleekness of the rim. In Ti plastic I was expecting a beefy disc, but this is surprisingly straight without a hard fade. For my first throw I was shooting for an easy, powered down flex shot in a wooded hole, and this thing didn't flex much at all. It held the anny line extremely well. It seems to do well on low lines, which fits my throwing style well. Overall I'm really loving this disc from Discraft and would call it a slower Punisher in feel and flight. It feels very, very similar to a Punisher, just with a smaller rim.

I love my titanium Vulture for forehand shots. It’s an incredibly straight flier that lands soft without a lot of “horizontal” skip. Easy distance and very controllable when thrown well. ** big shout out to TITANIUM plastic! I have several titanium discs and the feel of the plastic is amazing. Titanium discs are, to me, much more consistent and durable.

Like a lot of folks these days, I wanted to try out some Discraft plastic.

Picked this up during Black Friday sale. Wish I could always buy Ti at that great price!

I rely heavily on Innova’s stable to overstable lineup:

    Roc — Gazelle — TBird — Thunderbird

I still haven’t found the perfect mold (of any company) to fill in for the Gazelle. Especially important since it’s not a regular production disc.

As expected, the Ti Vulture fills in nicely for the Thunderbird. I really like the Ti plastic. Personally, I like it more than Innova’s star plastic. Maybe it’s mental, Star somehow behaves more over stable than Champion for me. Can’t quite figure that out. Maybe a grip issue. Ti plastic does not have the same problem for me. I definitely recommend the Vulture to anyone looking for something a little longer than a TBird.

It has been a few months and I wanted to update my review on the Vulture. As discraft advertises it is supposed to be a straighter variant of the predator and to me it is extremely similar to the Innova Thunderbird. The profile of the vulture is comfortable in the hand for forehand and back hand with a reasonably sized rim. Most vultures I have seen tend to be of a slight dome to flatter profile. I currently own a 170g Elite Z, a 170g Titanium, and 176 ESP Glo Swirl Austin turner signature.

The Vulture for me is the do all fairway driver in my bag. Generally speaking the Elite Z and Titantium seem to be a little bit straighter out of the box but of similar stability which is very nice because the plastic feel between the two is different and will suit different folks. The ESP Glo Swirl is a touch more stable it has a nice late fade to it and definitely a little more high speed stability. The more neutral plastics allows the Vulture to work any line, It will hold a hyzer at medium power and will flip to flat and hold at max power when thrown straight it might drift a little but generally ends up finishing pretty straight and on anhyzer will typically hold the line for a bit but fight out near the end. The ESP Glo Swirl is going to be the go to if you want a power driver it will hold a hyzer the whole flight  if you release it with hyzer and will hold a dead straight line when you throw it hard and flat fading out at the very tail end. It definitely does not want to ride the anhyzer angle and will fight pretty quickly. Utility wise the vulture is not really the best disc to go with for a power forehand, it doesn't quite have the torque resistance but for those players with good touch it will work some fantastic lines. Overhands are serviceable but not really going to yield big distance.

The Vulture does reasonably well in a headwind, the less stable variants will flip so give them a little hyzer but the ESP Glo Swirl will generally shirk off most headwind work. This disc is great in a tailwind, its natural glide lets it carry far but you will need to use a broken in one if you don't want it to fade more.

Beginners could use this disc as they reach the point where the shorter fairways are starting to get full flight but this disc does like to be thrown harder to get that straight flight.

Overall the Vulture has usurped my Thunderbirds. The plastic types it is offered in provide me the flight I loved out of my Champ thunderbirds with better grip. The versatility, great plastic offerings, and excellent distance earn a solid 5/5 stars from me. I strongly recommend trying this disc out especially if you haven't thrown discraft discs before.
