Doesn't hold up to wind and is more understable than it says. Holds turn for a while and doesn't fight out very easily. I would only use this disc for very long hyzer flips or huge right-panning flex shots and turnovers. Disc feels good in the hand but just lacks reliability and trust. Was able to get this into the 450's to 470's on good rips.

This disc isn't always available but every now and then Westside will run a batch.  I picked up a couple Worlds in the VIP plastic.  Both the discs were board flat and almost puddle-topped which was a little disappointing.  The World is a very fast disc and seems to have a small amount of turn during its flight,  It has an easy S-curve flight but a very harsh fade once it slows down.  It kind of just falls out of the air.  I found that it wasn't really keeping up with my other max distance drivers but I do throw it forehand every now and then where I can get some easy distance from it.  The strong fade at the end helps it hook up at the end of its flight when I throw it forehand which I find useful.

This is my reasonably overstable go-to bomber. Very consistent fade after a very nice distance gain, both backhand and forehand - until you hit a whole bunch of trees @ max speed, then it gets a little straighter/understable/less predictable(like all discs).

My straight bomber is a G-star Corvette, Slightly shorter overstable bomber is a Champion Wraith, if that gives you any context for where the World fits in.

This is a more stable destiny with less dome but still very glidey. It was a low parting line so this thing has some turn, but with a little hyzer flip action this thing goes dead straight

I personally am a big fan of the World. I throw it in VIP plastic and this things just takes off out of my hand. Only issue now for me is since it has been broken in I can turn it over on max throws. Before it would just fly dead straight with some fade at the end of the flight. Now with a 70-80% throw I can get those shots back, just less distance.

    Disc - 171 Tournament World

Feel - The world that I have is very flat and has a very wide rim as a 14 speed driver. It fits nicely in the hand if you have large enough hands and like flat topped drivers

Flight - The numbers on this disc seem very off in my opinion. Maybe it is just because mine is so flat and not completely max weight but this disc turns a lot for me to where I do not need to give it a ton of angle to get it down as a roller. Maybe I got a fluke but it seems like it is quite a bit less stable that the ballista pro or other trilogy drivers. I do love trilogy almost more than any other brand but their flight numbers seem to be off more often than not. That being said, I feel that this disc has a fairly large amount of turn when thrown hard and quite a bit of fade as well and does not glide super well. It still gets good distance and this lack of glide can be nice in some situations.

Overall - Flight numbers seem off in my opinion but still a good flyer. Maybe look for a domey max weight VIP to get maximum stability out of this disc.

I got this disc when I first got back into disc golf and ordered it as a mystery disc. When I tried to throw it back then it would do nothing but seem to fall out of my hand left and go nowhere. As my armspeed increased and my form got better I went back to try and see if I could get any use out of the world. I found that on a couple really hard turnover shots I could get a good flight out of it but I would have to go max power and almost try to throw it on a roller line to get it to go anywhere. I think this disc has a lot of potential for players with super fast armspeed or someone who enjoys throwing turnover shots with overstable discs. The only use I have for it now is for extreme headwind shots that i want to trust a hard finish or if I need a small little hyzer around some trees that a zone or overstable approach disc can't give me. The disc was a little uncomfortable in my hand and I have decently large hands. Anyone looking to buy this disc should make sure they know it will be similar to the flight numbers.

I had tried dozens of trilogy discs to find a disc as comfortable and consistent as my previous go to driver - the Yikun Da'E.   The VIP World is comfortable to hold and throw and is very consistent.  It fits my hand well.  It has a great fade level for forehand and can be flexed a little to end up straight ahead.  It fights wind and hills very well and is my go to driver in Air for any forehand shot needing some fade and in VIP for headwind shots with a little fade.

Got one of these in VIP plastic.

I don't really get where they get the flight numbers from. Maybe there's a few of these discs out there that are actually overstable. I have 500 feet of max power, and usually drive consistently to 430. This disc flips like crazy for me when thrown with 430 feet of power. I'm talking about releasing it on a spike-hyzer and getting it to flip over to a roller, unless i shoot it way up in the air.

Now don't get me wrong. I can get all of those 500 feet out of it, but I'm going to say that it feels more like 13.5 / 4.5 / -3 / 1.5.

Can't really recommend it to anyone, as it's so unreliable. Only way to get it fly anywhere is to shoot it straight up in the sky and to let it glide out. It has no place on a golf course in my opinion.

This disc comes out under the same conditions that bring my Destroyer forward. I don't have a monster arm so my go-to driver in calm conditions is a VIP Destiny, but if there is a headwind of any kind the World shrugs it off and stays reliably stable. DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS DISC AS A BEGINNER! It will only serve to frustrate you. Grow into this one for sure, especially after a few windy day heartbreaks with more understable molds.

This disc is not as overstable as advertised, but is still a fantastic disc.  I use it for my open field bomber shots anywhere from 400 to 450.  When thrown correctly, it gets a subtle turn with massive glide, then gets a predictable, but not hooking, fade at the end.  This is a fantastic disc for bigger arms looking to maximize distance potential, and there's a reason Feldberg throws them.  Into the wind, the World will fly with the flight path mentioned above up to about 375 feet.  Very versatile disc and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bomber disc at 400+.

When I got this disc it was so overstable it was absolutely ridiculous.  I let my brother have it and then it got left outside and got ran over by the lawn mower.  The disc survived unscathed but the blades beat in the plastic which made the disc forehandable for more than about 225 ft like it had been. Overall a good Fh disc for semi big arms.

I have a 175good VIP World. Before this, I had an X-Out Tournament World that was the first disc I ever loved and mourned when I lost it. It there was a way I could have retrieved it, I would've. I use this disc for forehand distance shots. The plastic holds up well against tree strikes. As mine wears in, it has a little more turn and less fade. Highly recommend this disc!

VIP 171 x2/Tournament 172/ Elasto173/ X-Out VIP Air 157. My go to driver. This disc I can get my max distance out of. Predictable hard left finish. No matter how hard of a hyzer release I put on it, the World with flip up flat and go straight then finish hard right. This is my opinion is Trilogys version of a Destroyer and PD2. Before, I did not like it in the wind but once I bagged 5 of them, it truly is a great disc.

Update: 2 years later, still my go to driver. I am not a fan of cycling discs and believe all discs have a purpose new. I do bag something more stable and less stable then a World but by far the disc I trust the most.

Definitely love my Westside World. Mine is 174g in VIP plastic and it is a meathook to say the least. But the thing I love about it is the glide. More than any other super overstable high speed driver I have thrown this disc will still glide out a long distance before diving out. This disc just goes, and if I give it a little anny it always comes back. I haven't quite mastered throwing it backhand, but it is definitely a go to for a flick hyzer, or even a straight shot if I have room to send it out to the left first. I highly reccommend this disc.

The beauty of the World seems to be it's paradoxical nature to hold an anhyzer line almost just as well as it will it's hyzer line. The speed of this disc had many people turning away from it but as it breaks in World becomes one of the smoothest traveling distance bombers on the market. I recommended to anyone with a bit of power and looking to gain distance.

Got this disc and liked it for fairway drives. If thrown flat it will go out and maybe flex a little bit but comes back! Liking this disc alot.

Westside is notorious for underestimating the turn ratings for their discs, and the World definitely fits in this mold. I've been throwing a 170g VIP World and it is not nearly as overstable as its flight ratings indicating. With my 300 feet distance forehand flicks, I get this disc to turn every time. Not only does it turn easily, but this thing glides forever. I regularily overshoot my target when throwing the world. For an "overstable disc" the world goes the distance.

If you're looking for a max distance wide open field forehand driver, this thing bombs. If you're looking for a super overstable consistent to never turn over driver, the World is not the disc to choose.  It's a great disc, but for my normal forehand purposes, this one doesn't do it for me.

I have 2 worlds 174 VIP and 172 tournament. Brand new they are as over stable as stated, again the tournament plastic seems to be a little more understable than the VIP but after only a few months of throwing they weren't fighting headwinds as consistently as before now if i get a stiff headwind i have to throw these on a hyzer let them flip up and hopefully not turn too much. On calmer days they still do great but in the middle of Kansas we routinely get winds 20-25mph with gusts 30-40mph so I'm kinda disappointed that they aren't quite as over stable as described but with that being said they still have a spot in my bag just have to be conscious of my release angle and the wind speed.
