The Swan 1 Reborn uses the mold of the original Westside Swan that was discontinued, but that has now been brought back. This Swan version is more understable than the Swan 2 that has been around for the last few years. This disc is amazingly straight for any arm speed right out of the box. This is a great putter for long, straight putts.

I don't use this disc for putting because I like a little more glide with my putters.  Perhaps I should have bought a lighter one, but no matter, this disc is fantastic for up-shots and approaches.  There's nothing like it. It keeps the angle you throw it at.  Throw a hyzer, it will hyzer all the way.  Throw an anhyzer and be careful, it could anhyzer out of the park.  Throw it flat and it goes exactly where you point it - SUPER STRAIGHT!  It's always in my bag and I always use to make super technical throws in the woods. I love it.

Note: This review is for the Swan 1 Reborn mold.

The Swan 1 Reborn is what I would classify as one of "master of one" discs. It isn't versatile. It isn't a workhorse. I pull it out for maybe one or two shots a round, tops.

But goodness me, it's good at what it does.

The flight numbers list it as a -2.5 turn, but I would say that this isn't giving the Swan enough credit. With just a slight anhyzer and a gentle snap, the Swan will turn right and hold the line until it hits the ground, no matter what. In a year and change of throwing the Swan, I've never seen it come back unless I threw it completely wrong. Or hit a tree, which happens a lot.

I've heard of people using the Swan as a putter or a hyzerflip thrower, but I've never found success with it as anything but a turnover approach disc. But that's just me. Whenever I need a shot that starts right holds the line, I pull out the Swan and it performs admirably. From flat turnovers to massive anhyzer spikes, the Swan is a smooth, dependable, easy-to-throw putter that won't disappoint.

I putt with Judges ,P2, wizards, and other similar molds. The swan thrown from 30+ feet thrown the same way will fly longer and straighter. This is nice because usually from longer distances I could use more carry. I guess I'll have to get used to making outside the circle putts.

The swan 1 reborn is just as advertised, very understable. This can be a great utility disc if used properly. This is a great disc for tight wooded shots under 200’. Throw a soft hyzer and it will go dead straight. Throw a little bit harder hyzer and it will pop up straight and turn late and finish to the right. Great for high turnover shots under 150’. Great for easy standstill approaches. This is also a great disc if you are pinched in tight and don’t have a lot of room to swing your arm. The swan 1 reborn will still carry straight if you are stuck in a tight spot and have to short arm a shot. Great get out of trouble disc.

Disc does what its flight numbers advertise, which is be very understable. I can throw this on the most severe hyzer angle I can muster RHBH and it will turn over all the way and continue to turn right until the end of it's flight. The only time I can get it to fade back left is in an open field when I throw it high. I use this disc very rarely but it can come in handy in certain situations.

I feel like the burst plastic is slightly more stable than the regular plastic. Not sure if this is just me but still one of my favs in the bag

Ask anyone I play with, I am not the best putter in the world. However, this disc (as well as the deputy) has shaved strokes off my rounds! I first got into more understable putters when I got the deputy in the 2017 Trilogy challenge. But the Swan 1 is awesome. If you putt with the disc flat it will turn slightly in the air when thrown with force but if you hold it at a hyzer angle during release (like I do) it holds the line beautifully and it very accurate.

Overall the confidence boost I have when throwing the Swan 1 is enormous. It has become my go to putter. The BT Medium plastic feels great. Not too soft, not too rigid and holds up remarkably well. Highly recommend this disc.

This is a super rad disc!  This disc is a pretty new addition to my bag and a disc that I fell immediately in love with.

This is not my primary putter for putting or upshots or drives, but when I need this disc it always does exactly what I need it to.

I use this putter for a few different things.  I bought it for anhyzer putts because I struggled hitting putts when I needed to anhyzer around trees to hit the basket.  The Swan 1 Reborn definitely helps with that, since it is understable it is going to work with you rather than against you when going for tricky anhyzer putts.

I also use this for long uphill putts, when you throw uphill discs tend to slow more quickly and fade out earlier and more severely.  The understablity of this disc helps to counteract the gained stability of throwing uphill and results in a very straight reliable throw at the basket.

Lastly I use this for upshots that force me to go around a right bend or if I need to be 100% certain that the disc doesnt finish to the left.
