The Stag is an overstable fairway driver in the Westside line. This disc is excellent for controlled fairway drives for both backhand and forehand throws. The Stag isn’t the fastest disc (speed 8), but has a very comfortable, moderate rim of 1.9cm and gets the distance with impressive glide.

    Tournament Recycled Muovi Details

Westside Tournament Muovi R (Recycled Plastic) is the equivalent of Dynamic Discs and Latitude 64 Recyled plastic. This plastic feels very similar to traditional Tournament, but being that it's made from recycled materials, is not quite as durable.

Tournament Recycled plastic is a one time limited release. The discs we have were overruns from those produced for stores in Europe.

My Flight Ratings: 8/5/-1/3 Somewhat Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

I first picked up the Stag to compare it to the Teebird and I was impressed with its feel and flight. From its ratings, I expected it to be a lot more stable, but the Stag had quite a bit of turn. It was almost more comparable to a Theif or Saint; good glide, great distance, control, and an equal amount of turn.

The Stag I chose was Recycled plastic, 175g, finnish stamp, almost pop-top dome, and very marbly. There were other Stags in Tournament plastic that were flatter, and I wish I would have chosen one of those because it resembled the Teebird's profile a little more closely.

I enjoyed the Stag, but due to the amount of dome it had I didn't like the way it felt in my hand as much as the others (bad decision on my part). I think the Stag is a great disc. I was impressed with the feel and flight. Don't let the ratings discourage you, or give you any false expectations of stability.
