I love my VIP Harp! It's great when I need an overstable putter for funky shots, upwind, or driving. It's super consistent and reliable and very durable in the VIP plastic. since it's a speed 4, it's almost closer to a midrange for me playing at 5000' of altitude. I have a Lone Star Harpoon (midrange) with similar numbers but find the Harp easier to shape shots with. I've made some great shots with my Harp...highly recommended.

For reference, I bag Innova almost exclusively. ALMOST because I can't shake the Harp. I bag a Pig for those 150 ft shots that I need to hit the ground and stick but for scrambling, OS approach and OS midrange duties, I keep the Harp in the bag. I've tried Gators, Rocx3, Pigs and I can't replace it. I cycle Rocs as my midrange and despite the similar flight numbers they don't want to get left like a Harp does, even when new. It also holds up better in the wind. It's comfortable in the hand for forehand or backhand. Try as I might to replace it, the Harp always stays in the bag.

The Harp is my favorite disc by far. I throw it for forehand shots (and backhands in the wind) out to around 225 feet, and it holds hyzer angles like nobody's business. It's so flat that it feels great in your hand. Adding the Harp to my bag felt like a cheat code when I started playing, as it was the only disc that I could throw forehand without having it wobble. Now that I've improved my form a little bit, I can still rely on the Harp to eat up any amount of torque that I give it.

I've had this disc in my bag ever since I got it in a mystery pack. It flies straight and has a consistent fade. The harp one of the most reliable approach discs that I've thrown.

Could be the plastic I got but I really wanted this to be as stable as a one or pig and it doesn't feel that way to me. Still a great disc if you want a mellower version of those two putters (glides more like a zone tho. Less like a pig) this may be your disc though. It's definitely a little deeper in hand than those two discs but if you like that it may be your jam!

Classic beefy approach disc that straddles the line between putter and midrange.  It rarely rolls away and always seems to fade out gently into circle one on a decent approach shot.  It's a bit deeper than the Zone so I actually bag both and use the Harp for my longer backhand approaches and the Zone for forehands, but that's just a personal preference as this disc can be flicked nicely also. The VIP plastic is gummy and can take a beating.

great stable approach disc. With that said, its not the slammer and that is a big spot to fill in my bag. its slightly more stable and slightly longer than the slammer. feels similar to the stabilizer in the hand.

Discs - Origio, BT Soft, BT Hard, VIP Harp

Feel - The Harp is a semi deep beaded overstable approach disc. It is available in many plastics which makes it very nice for many players to use.

Flight - The harp is a great overstable approach disc. The harp is not quite as overstable as the zone in my experience, but it is very close and I actually enjoy this. I like the harp over the zone because you can get them in better base plastics that are still fairly durable and provide great grip. I bag an Origio, BT Soft, and VIP. The origio is fairly beat in so it is pretty straight with a consistent fade and the soft and VIP are very overstable. The soft does not skip at all and the VIP does and it also feels better for backhands than the soft. The harp covers all of my forehand approach needs and I really enjoy throwing it.

Overall - More players need to give the harp a try because it is fairly underrated in my opinion. It is a great disc that I would recommend to anyone who likes to throw forehand approach shots or needs an overstable approach disc.

Like others have said - if you need a Zone with a deeper profile, this is your disc.

Feels better with backhands than a Zone, but for me it´s not the best for sidearm.

If you love the flight of a Zone but wish it had a slightly deeper rim, then this is your disc. Just a hair less overstable, yet still just as reliable, the Harp is an incredible disc that you can always depend on. I really like the feel and skip of the VIP plastic, and I know that it will stay true to its flight no matter how many trees you hit. Try one out, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I originally bought this disc to replace my lost Prodigy A3 (which I later got back) and good thing because they definitely fill a different spot in my bag!!

The Harp is not as overstable as I thought it would be but this is my favorite approach disc for backhands and a great disc to drive with for anything under 250 ft.

I prefer the A3 for forehand drives and approaches as it is more overstable but the Harp can still be thrown forehand and ever holds a great forehard anhyzer approach which is a great shot to have!

This is the disc that I didn't know that I needed until I used it and now it will never leave my bag.

This is my favorite disc and I'm always comfortable with it. It's been in my bag for almost 4 years for dependable upshots, mostly forehand. It does have a deep feel, but this is really nice for my hands on sidearms. The Harp will glide straight some before a trusty fade, making it workable on tight lines

A lot people compare this to a zone but it definitely is different. Its a little deeper and not as overstable but I like it a lot better for backhand approaches and drives then I do zone but I prefer a zone for forehand. Still a great disc in any of the plastics.

    175 VIP-X Glimmer

I have been throwing Harps for a couple years now and this one feels the best in my hand. If you have never thrown a Harp before you need to pick on up. It is a great approach disc as well as being great for drives on shorter holes. If you need a dependable overstable putter this is what you should be bagging.

I have two Harps, one VIP and one VIP-X Glimmer.  I always like to keep one beefy low-speed disc in my bag for scramble situations and the harp does not disappoint.  I bagged a Zone for a while, and it was effective, but the harp beat out my Zone.  I will say, while the Harp is a fairly overstable disc, it's slightly less stable than the Zone.  This Harp is fantastic for forehand flex shots.  I can't tell you how many scrable shots I've parked with this disc.  It's a must-have disc for headwinds, scramble situations, and overstable utility.

Absolutely love this disc! I was looking to improve my approach game and I rarely threw FH shots. Once I got the harp, it was easy to understand how the disc would fly. I started throwing FH approach shots more and I actually nailed a 150ft birdie run throwing RHFH.

The over stability in this disc makes it perfect to work around trees and obstacles. I got the VIP plastic and I find it to be durable but didn't skip too much after landing.

The Harp is my number one approach disc. I'll look for almost any excuse to throw it. Not only is consistent for hyzer approaches but it makes for perfect flex lines threw the woods or off the tee. Mostly a back hand thrower but when I need forehands approaches, the harp works for all angles.

I've heard lots of comparison between the harp and the zone and to me the harp gets the edge with a bit more glide. It is a bit deeper than the zone but regardless feels very comfortable with a backhand grip. Overall, highly reccomend

The VIP Harp is my go-to approach disc. I throw it mostly on forehand touch shots for my approaches. I occasionally use it for big backhand hyzers around trees. It is so consistent and almost impossible to turn over which is great for someone like me that has a problem wiht rolling my wrist over on forehands.

You need a disc that fills this slot in your bag, I know that it's a bit of a 'copy' of a discraft zone; but I feel the harp better fills the overstable approach slot. I feel this way because the Harp has an odd quirk that the zone doesn't; it actually becomes more overstable when thrown into a headwind. It's odd to get used to that initially, but in the end it makes it exponentially better than a zone or any other disc in this slot that has emerged on the market since it was released. I've had my VIP one in the bag for half a decade, have aced with it 3 times, and have thrown it numerous times in every round I play and I would say it's only a little less overstable than it used to be. As a bonus, if you're patient enough to beat in a baseline (BT) plastic Harp, it beats into a dead straight disc that won't turn and only have a touch of fade at the end, which I am absolutely loving using right now in Wisconsin winters!

At first, I loved Harp as an approach disc, but now it is my go to putter as well. There is no other disc in my bag that sits in my hand as comfortably as the Harp. I have tried Aviars, Novas, Pures, Wizards, but none of them give me the comfort and confidence of this disc. The fade may seem like it would be difficult to manage for a fairly new player, but it makes the disc very predictable, and also makes it great for obstructed approaches. I now own this disc in a variety of plastics. The VIP plastic is great for approaches where you need a skip, or don't need the disc to sit down and stay where it lands, VIP is not really the best for putting. The BT plastics really help the Harp sit down when it hits the ground, don't expect skips on approach shots... these plastics tend to hit the ground and stay there, especially the BT Soft. For putting, the BT Soft grabs the chains and doesn't let go. The BT Medium and Hard also work well for putting, especially in hot temperatures. I have had many people say that I shouldn't putt with such an overstable disc because it teaches bad habits, but at the end of the day, I make my putts with the Harp and that is all that matters when it comes to my score.

VIP (metal flake) 175g: Forehand upshots all day with this disc. I also use for big-hyzer approaches that I don't want to skip like the Anvil has a tendency to do. The metal flake is over stable enough to handle forehands that the bt plastics could not. This disc flies very true to the numbers for me. Low glide, flat top, plenty of fade.

This disc is awesome. It is the perfect approach disc. Any weather, forehand or backhand, big hyzers, straight approaches, forehand flexes. This disc is amazing. I have had a gap in my bag for a stable approach disc for years, and after a lot of getting yelled at by the internet on reddit, I decided to get a Harp. I love it. I use it for all approach shots from 100-280 feet. I know people usually prefer the BT plastic to avoid the skips, but I have no skipping issues in the VIP. The plastic is durable and grippy. I love he VIP plastic for this amazing disc.

This is my 2end review of this disc. I felt an update was needed because this disc is more than just an approach. This disc has taken care of all my mid range needs as well as all my approach needs. The Harp feels so comfortable in my hand it is more like an extension of hand. It is a perfect forehand disc, it is so smooth at the point of release it is almost tough to make a bad shot. Backhand shots are just as easy, the Harp once seasoned holds every line you can imagine. I have made shot around obstacles ( hyzer and anhyzer) that are almost unbelievable. I think if this disc came in G star plastic it would also be my putting putter.

PROS: perfect grip backhand and forehand. great as a mid range and a approach disc. intuitive of your needs and fulfills all your wildest dreams.

CONS: the Harp has not answered me on my marriage proposal.

This disc is truly in a class of its own. It definitely isn't a putter, but its not quite a midrange either. Its pretty close to being the perfect approach disc, and is definitely one of the best ever made for that purpose. I got it in a player pack for a tournament several years ago and thought "who puts a putter in a players pack?" After I threw it a few times I wondered why I never had a disc like it in my bag. It packs a lot of stability, glides just enough to keep it in the air, always finishes with a strong fade, and almost always stops right where it hits the ground. My favorite use for this disc is as a forehand upshot disc, but it also excels when used for backhand spike hyzers, and force-flex shots. For a disc to make my bag I need to be able to trust it and know exactly what it will do when I throw it, and for 2 years straight it was the only disc that I used for forehand approaches. I recently replaced it with a hyzerbomb frontline-x mortar because it provides better grip, but I would still recommend this disc to anybody.

Although I bag all Innova/DM drivers, I feel like I could replace all of them much more easily with another brand than I could my Harps (VIP and BT Soft). I feel that they are the most indispensable disc that I throw. I can't trust any other approach disc not to turn, and the fade is so predictable when thrown flat. I don't throw forehand often, but the Harp corrects my horrible form (most of the time) and saves my butt when I'm behind a big bush and have to flick approach.

Its hard to find something that hasn't already been said about the harp, but its just such a good disc.  I had one in my bag a year ago and removed it to try the aviar3 &X3 but I always felt like I was missing something.  The VIP Harp is my go to for straight forehand, hyzer forehand, anhyzer forehand and overstable backhand approaches.  If I'm 150-200' from the pin and have a forehand line, I'm going Harp.  The flat top is really what brought me to the Harp.  It's like the putter version of a firebird if that makes any sense.  I've tried the origio and BT Harp and those are really great for laser straight shots with a touch of fade.  For me the VIP has a nice straight flight and then I know it will always come back, sometimes with a nice skip.  If you're looking for an approach disc to cover both backhand and forehand definitely consider checking out a Harp.

I first picked up a harp for headwind upshots but it quickly became my main upshot disc. The harp feels great as a forehand thrower however I find it a little too deep for full power backhands. It is not as stable as I thought but if thrown on hyzer it will hold the line and fade a little. This disc is really only made for throwing and it throws well. If you have 300' of power then you should be able to get this disc to ride straight for a while then have some good reliable fade.

Used it for the first time today and found out that I.....am not......Ricky Wysocki haha. This IS a great disc though and I will continue to use it for midrange approach shots. It flies straight when thrown normal and has the tiniest bit of turn when I give it a bit more power.

The harp is a stable putter that consistently gives you that performance.  I use mine for upshots or into the wind putts.  It is reliable, feels good in the hand, and covers the stable putter slot well.  I wish i could say more about this disc, but it just feels right, it does exactly what you expect.  No nonsense, not a big learning curve, just works.

Not sure what happened, but I had a 175 VIP Harp that was my money flick approach and my go to backhand approach to finish left.   I bought two more backup VIPs recently and the don't fly anywhere the same as my previous discs.  The new discs turns over on flicks with power to throw 150-200 and doesn't come back.  In order to throw this shot with the new discs I have to throw with a pretty severe hyzer release.  My old disc, that I bought a year or two ago is way more stable.   I'm gonna have to find another stable mid for flick up shots.

Earlier this year I was considering either a Discraft Zone or a Harp. At the time Ricky Wysocki was tearing up the courses with the harp so it was like, "I think I'm going harp". Really they are the same disc and they are great.

If you like to forehand this is a great midrange which also fills the overstable low glide midrange backhand slot. VIP will stay overstable and the BT hard or medium will beat in a bit straighter but still holds its integrity. Highly recommended for players who like to forehand and backhand putters and mids.

I use the Harp in two different plastics. The VIP harp is a very OS utility disc, good for getting me out of trouble when I mess up a drive. The BT Hard (or Origio, both are the same for me) are not as OS, and as such, a great driving putter. They beat in straight and have a consistent finish. If you don't have a Harp in your bag, you are missing out!

I love this disc so much that I have a couple VIP Harps in my bag.  I own a BT Hard and had a Tournament Harp for a while until I lost it.  For me, the Harp is my go to disc for anything under 250ft.  The VIP Harp flies straight as an arrow for the first 150-200ft with a predictable fade at the end.  I throw my Harps more than any disc in my bag, and they continue to be reliable.  These things will take a beating and keep fading to the left for RHBH shots.

After throwing the VIP Harp, I can't imagine what I did without this great flat top approach disc. The harp is currently an overstable workhorse, helping with upshot/approach shots in the wind, reliable easy forehand shots, and overstable hook shots around obstacles I can't get over or straddle around. I can see why Ricky Wysocki bags one, and how he works magic with it. Words cannot express the great things a Harp offers, give it a shot.

I'll tell you what; if I had the option of keeping my harps or losing them in order to meet Jesus, I would take me Harps because I don't think you can throw Jesus into a strong headwind and still fight through. This thing is kind of a super-utility disc for me as I use it for RHFH drives under 250, tricky upshots, slight flex shots, and putting into fierce headwind. This thing is a beast and I would strongly recommend all intermediate+ players to bag one

I have the Harp becasue of all the love on it from Reddit. I saw how much everybody raved over it so I wanted to give it a shot and found out why so many people love this disc. I can throw it backhand or forehand and it does exactly what I want it to do. Have a little headwind? Throw a harp. Need the disc to set down nicely? Throw a harp. While I haven't thrown it in any of the BT plastic, a BT soft or medium is great for being able to hit something and sit down. This disc is great and should be at least considered for any player

The Harp is the kind of disc that could, and probably should, be in every players bag.

A flat topped disc with a deeper profile that is comfortable in the hand for both forehand and backhand shots. The BT soft plastic is arguably the most overstable version and the best for upshots you want to stick when landing. The BT Hard is also a popular plastic and has the added benefit of being good for drives. I prefer the VIP plastic for overall added durability and a longer overstable flight quality.

It's best utility is as an overstable approach disc. Incredibly reliable overstable flight and good for spike hyzers. The harp is also a quality putter for shots from the tee. It can handle full power shots with minimal turn depending on the stage of wear. It is also a serviceable putter, especially in high winds.

This is my go to disc for upshots or approach shots when its a windy day. Super trustworthy and you can always count on it to come back/hyzer finish no matter the conditions. If its thrown really hard with a hyzer angle it will skip. If its thrown flat with a little bit of air and not much torque the disc will generally stay where it lands. I recommend this disc for anyone playing on a windy day. One of the best putters to throw off the tee as well. Feels really comfortable in the hand and more similar to a midrange.

The Harp is a disc that pretty much everyone on reddit is in love with. I finally picked one up to experiment, and after a few lackluster rounds with it, I am beginning to see why people love it.

It feels nice in the hand, and is almost perfectly flat. You can rip in to this thing with confidence that it is not going to turn over. However, it doesn't want to go very far. from about 225-250 feet and in the thing is money. Anything further than that and the Harp isn't going to get there. It took me awhile to gauge the amount of power I needed to put on it on my approaches, because I kept leaving it short. You can crank on it and not worry about it going too far over.

Where I am not sold on the Harp I have is that the VIP plastic doesn't sit as well as my K3 Bergs did. The VIP Harp gets a bit skip happy, so one holes where I need it to sit I think twice before throwing it. I would probably give it 5 stars in a different plastic blend, but I have yet to experience that so 4 it is.

If you need an OS putter, the Harp is a good one.

I used to throw a medium Sinus and a Zone...now I throw and putt with the Harp.  The Harp is very similar to the Zone except for the tiny bead on the Harp...I get a better release on my upshots.  I bag 4 Harps, 1 VIP, 1 BT soft for upshots, 1 BT hard as my main putter and a BT medium for a backup for changing weather conditions (rain).  I love how this disc consistently releases from my hand while straddle and spush putting.  I drive with a 175gm VIP for anything under 275' which requires a strong fade and an 179gm BT soft for rip and stick.  It forehands well for upshots and touch anhyzers to flat really well.  I love all the plastics they come in and have essentially throw only Harps and Wardens for anything in the 250' range and step up to a MD3 if I need a little more distance without having to add more power.  Harps have earned a permanent spot in my bag.

I am writing this review from my own perspective. I am a fairly new player who can throw my mids around 210 feet (putters around 180 feet).

    Pros:

    • Extremely wind resistent.
    • Very reliable fade at the end.
    • Very consistent and can mask small throwing errors and still get a reliable right to left fade.
    • Can shot shape to get around obstacles with either hyzers or flex shots.
    • Feels very good in the hand and the VIP plastic gives a nice consistent grip
    • Birdie machine for ~ 200 foot holes. I got 3 birdies with this disc the last time I played

    Cons:

    • I've never putted with it so I don't know if it putts well.
    • Not good for beginners as it hides your mistakes and can develop bad form.

I haven't played all that long and am still experimenting with a lot of things. I wanted to try out some overstable stuff to see how I would do with it and to combat the high winds we've had in Kansas this spring. I got a Harp in hot pink VIP plastic and have ended up using it way more than I thought I might. It's great to be able to rely on it to never flip over and always finish left even if I throw it full power into headwind. On shots that don't require my maximum distance it's usually the first disc I reach for. I also love Westside's theme and sicko hotstamps.

This disc is a gem. It's a disc I can confidently say will NOT be leaving my bag any time soon. When they released it in VIP it instantly went into the bag and has been a gamechanger ever since.

Great in the wind, beautiful for OS and big hyzer approach shots, and handles a forehand very very well.

Trust me, if you're looking to start taking strokes off your rounds, and need that insanely reliable OS putt and approach in your bag, this is IT...

I first tried the Harp in BT Soft and liked it very much. I was fond of its flight, but the BT plastic was a little bit too tacky for the speeds I would be throwing the Harp. I like how the softer plastics settle, but not how they release from my hand at lower speeds. I chose VIP for its feel, durability, and in the hopes it would have a little more stability.

Instead of having a little bit more stability, it had a ton! The BT Soft I was using was a little broken in, but I can only attribute this large difference in stability to the difference of plastic. This disc is almost too stable for me in this plastic. I wanted a driving putter that I could release flat, have it fly strait, then fade at the end. Instead this thing is a miniature meat hook.

I recently threw all my overstable discs next to each other, to see how they compared. The Harp landed very close to my Justice, with similar fade and distance. For those of you who know the Justice, this illustrates how overstable this new VIP Harp that I got is for me. At the time of writing this I average around 380 feet, so I wasn't gingerly lofting these discs out. However, I did notice the Harp and Justice arrived at their locations in very different ways. The Harp journeyed mostly in the air, and had a softer skip. The Justice had a sharp fade crash and huge skip. So in comparison they are very different in their style of arrival.

So, if you are looking for a stable driving putter, you may want to try this out in one of the BT plastics. If you are looking for an overstable driving putter, check out the VIP and possibly Tournament. I'm not sure how the Tournament compares in stability to VIP, but I imagine they are both quite beefy. All of this being said, I do love this disc. The discription can be a bit misleading; this is not really a putter, as much as a super stable putter/mid-range hybrid, and I love it.

This is a great approach wind fighter in the VIP plastic. And makes a good putter is BT soft. The BT soft holds the same flight even when its really beat in.
