A deep dish putter very similar to the lat64 dagger. Very straight flier all the way from circle one all the way out to 200+ ft.

Great disc for beginners! Primarily a point and shoot putter with a deep feel and a beed. Carries a true stable flight with a push putt and more overstable flight when putted with spin. The feel is comparable to a Discmania Shogun, Lat64 Dagger, and Innova Whale.

I wanted to try out some new plastic, so I got a 3 disc selection of RPM from my local store. I picked up a Ruru in magma plastic and I love it. It's got a small diameter with a bead with a soft, grippy plastic. It's got a very straight flight with a consistent fade at the end. It also putts very glidey (I was missing high all round because this thing didn't want to drop!) Awesome disc, I'll be experimenting a lot with it over the next few weeks.

I got the Ruru in a starter pack, and I loved it! For throwing it was super straight, and the fade at the end didn't dump at all. I'd say it's a great disc for straight, short upshots; a nice point-and-shoot. For putting, I liked the rim depth a lot, and I've got somewhat big hands. Final words, it's a great putter and I would recommend it for any skill level.

This disc is fantastic. I was searching for a new putting putter, and due to low supply in most major companies I landed with RPM. The magma plastic is rubbery and softer than I expected, so definitely do not use magma as a throwing plastic. The stamps are outstanding and definitely add a bit of swag to my game. The disc is all about feel with the grippy magma plastic, the small bead, and the smaller disc diameter that was a pleasant surprise. The disc feels heavy in a reliable way when I throw it which gives me some confidence to throw it exactly where I am aiming. One of the first putts I made with the Ruru was a step putt just over 30 feet with a bit of anhyzer before fading right into the center pole. If you love the stamps, this disc is far more than just a pretty stamp.  If you are on the fence about this disc, I advise you to just go for it.

I use the magma plastic as my main putter; they are sticky and catch the chains really well

I also use the cosmic plastic  as my stable throwing putter with a straight flight and slight fade for tunnel shoots

I have two putters in the Magma plastic - they feel absolutely fantastic in the hand!  Really fits with my putting style.

Fairly think edges - so there's some rollaway potential!

Love the look of the disc and it has quickly become my go to putter. Goes straight with minimal effort on approach. Reminds me a lot of my Aviar, the only difference is the bead, which is not very noticeable. Great disc for an Aviar lover who wants something to set themselves apart.

Buy the entire RPM line up. Seriously, stop reading reviews and just do it.

If you must have a review...

The Ruru is (as of right now) the overstable putting option that RPM has, and in my opinion flies very similarly to an aviar. As we know, the aviar is traditionally one of, if not the, world's most popular putters. I'm telling you on the record that this is better. 100% no doubt no hesitation, if RPM gets a complete line of golf discs they will compete with any company in the world and this putter will be a household name.

With a true 1 fade this disc handles any putting style. If you push, this thing will be very comfortable with it's appropriate depth and amazing grip on the Magma plastic. If you spin, the 1 fade will turn this thing right into the basket no problem very consistently. If you spush... I think you know where I'm going here... get this disc.

As an approach disc, this thing doesn't take a lot of speed to get it in a true path, and is incredibly deadly from 150 and in. If you crank on it, it has 0 fade, but it won't turn. It also doesn't carry a lot of glide so it is very much a true point and shoot disc. This thing will go right where you put it and sit down beautifully.

If you want this disc to be a putter, get it in Magma plastic and don't hit any trees, because magma plastic doesn't take damage very well.

If you want this disc to be an approach, get it in atomic. That plastic is soooo super grippy and can really take any tree hit no problem.

My review is based on a 171g Magma Ruru. For what it's worth I'm predominantly RHBH and utilize a spush type putt. I have a few rounds with this disc now and I have been absolutely loving it. I ordered it to try something new, and because the stamp looked awesome. I had been putting with an Ion in eclipse plastic and was happy with that. When I first pulled the disc out of the packaging I was immediately impressed with how comfortable it was in my hand. I'm hit or miss with beaded discs so I wasn't sure what to expect. It is a very small bead, and coupled with the very rounded edge it is extremely comfortable. I would say that it is a moderately deep rim, not the thinnest out there but not what I would consider a "Frisbee." The Magma plastic is really nice stuff. It has what I can only explain as a mix between a rubbery and chalky feeling to it. The disc itself I would say is a medium firmness; it's not going to fold in half on you which gives confidence for drives, but it's not a rock either. It's fairly glide-y, but not so much so that I've ever overshot the basket because of it. I was able to make more long puts than I ever have before. I like it a lot for drives as well, it goes right where you put it. It'll hold a hyzer to the ground, and holds anhyzers very well too. It will level out just before the ground on higher anhyzers, or stay put without so much height. If you crank really hard on it you will notice some right turn, but I haven't had it turn over on me yet. Does it do anything super special that maybe you couldn't do with another disc? Probably not. Is it very consistent, predictable and fairly workable? Absolutely. I can't stress again how comfortable this disc is. Amazing grip, amazing plastic, amazing stamp. I have an RPM disc in atomic as well and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Ruru in Atomic either if you're looking for something that would probably be a little more durable. Just try one!

Got my Magma Ruru in about a week ago, so I haven't used it too much yet.  I've played a couple rounds with it and love it! The magma plastic has a great rubbery feel and seems to cling to the chains better than any other putter I've had. The magma isn't a real tough plastic so go with cosmic or atomic if you are wanting it for more drives and longer approach shots. If you are looking for a new putter this is definitely worth a try. This may be my new go to putter, time will tell!
