Magma Hard Details

Magma is a plastic blend from RPM Discs with a long-lasting, premium durability, yet it has a softer, rubbery feel for great grip. This version of the plastic is much stiffer than the orginal magma or the magma soft.

Solid Turn and Predictable

175g Hard Magma,  RHBH,  this disc landed next to the basket and laughed at the wind. If RPM made this in their Platinum Plastic in a bright orange , then it would be my preferred stable up shot disc. speed 4 in Magma.

175g Atomic RHBH  - love this disc for upshots,  but prefer a flatter top from the edge. if a Platinum plastic would be a good flick disc.

would be 5 stars if in platinum plastic.  hint hint RPM

This review is for the Magma Hard Plastic.

I was concerned when I bought this disc I wouldn't like the grip of the plastic but I find it feels great in my hand despite it being a hard plastic. I'm a newer player and have had limited success with rollers. This disc is has given me real confidence with those low clearance rollers you need when scrambling. The edge of the disc is much flatter than any other disc I have (including putters) which seems to make it more stable while rolling. Whether I'm in the grass or in rooted and rocky woods this disc performs a roller with so much ease.

I find this disc to be true to its numbers with maybe the fade of 3 being slightly underrated. I really like the grip on this rim when I'm throwing for distance, and I find the flight very predictable. Out of all the RPM discs I've tried this is by far my favorite. It's earned its spot in my bag!
