The Kea is a small-diameter, overstable midrange disc. It is a great choice for short, accurate, predictable drives off the tee or for upshots when you need to fight wind and hit the green with ease. It is also a perfect choice for forehand drives and power backhand throws.

So many points to make about this gem! Ok, it is an extremely reliable midrange that will turn left. You will not get max distance out of this thing, it is a golf disc. It will help you shape shots that you've never tried before and will allow you to experience a new level of creativity  and dependability. Consider it in the same conversation as an Innova Gator, Westside Anvil, Dynamic Discs Justice, but the major difference is the feel of the disc.

The feel of this disc is the most unique disc I've ever experienced. You literally have to buy one to understand it. It is different than anything out there. The center of the disc is domey, but then the edge of the top of the disc is flat. The dome comes down at the flight plate and flattens out. Very strange, but I love it! The edge of the disc is a rounded edged rectangle that flattens down to a bead on the underneath of the disc for an extremely smooth release. You have got to feel this disc to understand what really sets this thing apart from the crowd!

I have it in Magma plastic. This is the softest, smoothest, cleanest plastic I've ever felt and I cannot recommend this enough...... if you want to use this as a putter. The magma plastic is not durable at all and will get bumps and nicks in it the moment it hits air. If you wish to use this as a midrange workhorse (which you should!) then get the atomic plastic. This is similar to other premium plastics on the market except maybe even a little more grippy! Can't say enough about this disc or this brand. Simply, you have got to try this.

The feel is comfortable. It has a bead but it's not obnoxious. It looks and feels a lot like a Gator. I took it out and it excelled at stand-still hyzer Upshots. I also threw it into a headwind with good snap and thrown flat. It turned a little and flew mostly straight. On another throw with no wind I put some annhyzer snap on it and it turned a lot more than I expected. It did fade a little at the end of its flight but was well right of where I expected based on the numbers.

Overall, not has OS as a gator and probably not as OS as a mortar but good for consistent hyzer Upshots and it has a nice feel.

I was not a big fan of this disc. The feel in the hand is quite different and other discs that fly similar have a more comfortable feel. RPM labels this disc as a stable mid-range but I feel like its much to slow and feels like a utility putter.

The Kea flew quite well but my release was never consistent. The bead on the rim seemed to be in the way to get that consistent release.
