The D3 is the thinnest disc in the Prodigy distance driver line, with a height of just 1.7 centimeters. Like the D1 and D2, this is another ultra-fast driver with a 2.3cm wide rim. The D3 is said to be a stable-flying driver with incredible glide. Prodigy recommends this disc for hyzer flip shots, but it's stable enough that it’s not going to turn over on powerful throws.

Found one of these in a bush, called the owner and he said keep it. It sat in bag for a while cause it looked dirty as hell and I didn't know how it should be used. One day I read about it on Infinitediscs and the rest is history. This thing is my favorite disc to throw at the moment. You really do need to put some hyzer on it more often than not to make sure it doesn't run away from you on the turn but once you understand where the limits are it turns into a powerhouse. If I need to bomb a throw to the right I can hit a flatter release and still crush out a 450ft drive. Tilt it slightly for a beautiful s-curve closer to the 475ft mark. I'd say the speed listed is correct. Anything under that kind of power will turn it into nearly a true overstable disc. This is on the list of discs that I will be buying more of, or at least finally buy a new one of!

Love this disc although bias since I aced with the 400 plastic. Bought several more, 400g is my favorite plastic, good driver for beginners discing up or for intermediate players a great hyzer flip disc, especially as it beats in. I assume power throwers will find it too floppy. Lots of glide and really like the prodigy rim size and feel.

One of the best drivers I have ever thrown. The D3 is smooth out of the hand and the lip dosen't feel too big.

I throw a little lighter on the weight around 160 - 164. if I throw it straight, it will tend right and finish left (RHBH). If there is an intentional hizer on it, it will hold the line.

Great driver in a tail wind to cross wind, but does great in head wind with a bit mor flip.

This disc is great for control hyzer flips for huge distance. Even it the wind it will flip up and ride the wind before fading slightly at the end. Highly recommend this disc for long distant shots where you need that flex line.

If you want a flat disc and your a beginner this is a great starting disc.  Holds its line for a while and not a hand come back at the end.. this is mainly a forehand disc for me as I can get it to s curve or throw it harder to hold the line and very dependable to come back with a nice little skip at the end.. I have 3 of these in my bag currently!

I got a 169g D3 in 400g. I'd say this is one of the best long distance drivers out there. What's really great about it, is it really has a home in every sort of players bag. If you dont have a lot of power, the D3 will be a consistent straight to left fade (RHBH) disc. If you have a little more power, then you can really use its glide to your advantage and get some long S shaped flights for max distance, or alternative, get a reliable hyzer flip disc. It also has a great feel in the hands, being not overly domey for a 12 speed driver with a lot of glide. Would reccomend to all skill level players!

The D3 is great for max distance, full flex shots. It will hold an anhyzer line also, especially after it gets a little beat in. Its my go to for sidearm drives, and will hold the line extremely well. It is definitely quite a bit less stable than the D2. I would recommend it for anyone for sure but if you are maybe a bit of a slower to medium arm speed this thing will be a money driver for you. If you are a high arm speed player it will be amazing for max distance flex shots or for turnovers.

The 400G D3 is the best driver I have thrown, which is why I have 3 versions of different wear in my bag.

Since I'm at elevation, my review is slightly different. However, I can get any of my D3s to do just about any shape I want (RHBH) and only bag a lighter disc for uphill shots and a D1 for sharper finishes.

I'm not sure what they do at sea level since I have yet to throw outside of New Mexico since my last 2 power jumps.

This disc has officially become my longest thrower in my bag. I really like them brand new because I will throw this disc my hardest and I will get a long turn out of it and it almost always fights back with a great fade at the end. I threw it at my last tournament which was an open golf course, and I was getting almost 30-50 more feet out of it than my Ballista and my broken-in Destroyer in warm ups, so I ended up using it the entire tournament. It's great for my forehand as well because its not too understable nor is it too stable. Only reason I would say its not beginner friendly is because I can think of a bunch of other discs that would be better for a beginner. Like a D5 or F7.

my go to distance driver when there's enough room left to right and the landing area doesn't have to be very exact, sadly this kind of shots are rather rare after all.

On low lines have to give the disc quite a bit of hyzer, on higher lines just a little is enough.

Usually getting to throw it maybe 2 to 3 times per round on the courses I play at, good distance with plenty of glide at the cost of accuracy.

Ok disc for moderate tailwind, wouldn't throw into any headwind.

Excellent disc for breaking those distance records on an open field!

This disc was quite a bit more overstable until I removed the huge amount of flashing it had on the bottom.

You need an arm to really maximize this disc.  My lack of arm is what is holding back a 5 star rating.  Prodigy G plastic is some of the best feeling plastic on the market.  This disc is consistent but you probably won't like it until you have consistent 400+ foot power.  This and the D1 are Prodigy's top 2 discs IMO.

I just bought a 168g 400g D3. I have a D1, D2, and D4 so I wanted to get something to split the difference between the 2 and 4. My max distance up to this point back hand was 414'(gps measured) with my D4. I was pleasantly surprised on my first throw with this beauty when I released it and watched it turn right a bout half as much as my D4 and then fade back like every other prodigy disc. It landed alot farther than usual. The GPS said 440'! This on a football field near my house so it was perfectly flat and there wasn't really any wind to speak of. Haven't got to play with it in a round yet but I'm super stoked about it. Will update after a few months and it breaks in....

After several months with this disc it is one of my go to drivers for max distance drives. On a calm day I can hit 400' - 450' with consistently. Disc has held up good and is a great compliment to my D1,2, and 4.

I've been playing disc golf for about a year and a half now and this has consistently been one my favorite driver.  I've thrown D3's in the Prodigy Air and 400G plastic.  The D3 Prodigy Air was the first lightweight disc I threw and was the first disc that I was able to reach 300' with.  The Prodigy Air D3 and D4 typically flew further for me than the Blizzard Destroyers, Bosses, and Wraiths.  However, in my experience the Air plastic beats in quicker and is less durable than the Blizzard plastic.  The 400G plastic is great though.  I do prefer the gummier feeling of the Innova Star plastic (at least gummier in some drivers) but the 400G is still very nice and very durable.  I've thrown 400G plastic down the the upper 130g to lower 140g range and for lower powered players the disc will still finish with a predictable fade.  I've since increased my distance (which will hopefully continue) and now throw D3's in the upper 150g to lower 160g range and these are still some of the longest flying discs that I throw.

This is a disc that most players could find a spot for if they wanted to. If has a lot of speed, a comfortable grip and good glide. It will turn some, but it's pretty hard to turn over. Actually was hoping it would turn a little more for me than it did, but I couldn't push it out quite as far as other discs in it's class, or even a few slower ones.

Unbelievable disc. First disc that I haven't been able to turnover. No matter how hard you rip it, it will fade back.

    My new Go-To.

I've been loving Prodigy since I started using it about 2 years ago.

I had stuck to D2s and D4s as my main drivers, figuring the in-between would be too similar to be worth it. BOY was I wrong! I can place this more accurately than my D4 while still getting the distance of my D2 and then some! This weekend, I over-threw a 380' hole by about 50' (into water... damn) However, my max drive is usually around 375'-400'.

Great disc for RHBH power drives and light wind fighting. You can easily get it to anhyzer strongly, but, it will always come back and finish with a solid fade.

This disc has been the best driver I ahve thrown so far. I can put it right where I want it and still get a good distance on it.
