The D3 Max is a modified edition of the D3. Players will find the D3 Max slightly more understable than the traditional D3, allowing newer players to get more distance, and more advanced players to have a seasoned driver right out of the box. The D3 Max will hold the line and get that extra distance.

I would say that I am still not used to throwing this disc. I get a solid 260 ft drive out of this consistently but I would say I would need to fix my form in order to throw this far. However, regardless of my form I still really love this disc. I get a really smooth release out of my hand with this disc. It is hard for me to control but I still get quite a bit of distance out of this disc when needed. I would recommend this disc for players who are a little passed the beginner stage, who more understand the technique behind throwing drivers.

I have a D3 Max 400 and a 400 Glow. I find the glow to be slightly less stable than the regular 400. Reliable finish. Slightly shallow rim which sometimes isn't so good for me, but it works with the D3 Max. Will fly straight when released flat. Not an incredible amount of turn, but definitely not an overstable disc either. Love it for flex forehands.

I think the marketing of the "Max" drivers is a little bit misleading from Prodigy because they don't really go any farther than the first version of the disc.  I think this disc should be called "D3V2" but I digress.

I think if you like Prodigy drivers it is wise to bag one of these along with a D2.  This disc is certainly less stable than a D2, but it is not fickle or hard to control.  The D3 Max is a very workable disc that flips up moderately for a nice tight flex.  It flies the same forehand, which may or may not be useful to you depending on how you play golf.  For me I rarely throw it FH because most of my FH throws are for avoiding OB.

I only deduct one star because it doesn't go as far as my D2.  It definitely has a place in the bag of an intermediate/advanced player though.

I like this disc for D2 Max distance, with a little more flex to the right. It is understable, but with enough height, will fade back nicely. I don't have massive hands, but they are not so small. This disc has a very wide rim. I can get a good grip on it, but it is not the most comfortable to throw. If you have smller hands, you may struggle with this disc, but if you are able to get a good grip on it, it flies great. Of course Prodigy has some of the best plastic on the market, and this disc in 400 plastic has been awesome. If the D2 max is just a little too overstable for you, then this may be your answer.

To me the rim seems to be not as deep as the non-max Prodigy drivers and I was worried that this would cause a problem.  Fortunately It has not caused a problem at all and I am really enjoying the added distance that I get from the D3 Max.

I didnt think i would find a better disc than the D2 max, then guess what. Here comes the D3 Max. just like the d2 max the d3 max gave me and additional 40-50 feet than my normal D2 and X3 i bag. The D3 can bomb down a fairwar with as not as much fade as the D2 max. This is a must have disc for strong arms.

    Great disc for stronger arms.

This disc is slightly more stable than the D2max but seems to have less fade at the end. Great for that 400 distance arm speed
