MVP says: “The Tesla’s responsive design balances a subtle turn and reliable fade, while a pronounced glide and forward finish gain extra distance. The Tesla extends high power or headwind lines and has plenty of bite to fade back reliably and reduce lateral drift. The Tesla can be considered the big brother to our acclaimed Volt fairway driver. Choose the Tesla for long-range pinpoint accuracy.”

The Fission Tesla is my favorite all time disc. It started out as my overstable 9 speed workhorse, but now that I've had it for about 2 years it has beat in to be super straight but still have a very dependable fade. Just a super clean flight, little bit of turn, and a really nice forward pushing fade at the end. This disc can also bomb, I've thrown it over 400+ feet before and it's kind of shocking how far it goes for only a 9 speed. It's really comfortable in the hand since it is so flat, and I love the feel of Fission plastic. Don't get this expecting the 9/5/-1/2 flight out of the box, but the Fission will give you that flight quickly after some use and it is just so nice.

Absolutely Incredible. Near perfect for what it is. Even in 156g, it still took months of play to get a flip out of it.

Currently bagging 2 of these as the counterpart to Axiom Insanity. Great for flex shots with slow fade.

Great disc, flies straight with not a lot of turn and fades hard at the end of flight. I usually reach for this disc when my FD is out of range and the tolerances for a tighter shot are needed. My Fission weighs about 168.

Very straight flying disc with a ver reliable overstable finish. A lot more overstable that other discs with the same numbers (undertaker, escape, etc.)

Flat-top flyer - absolutely money for 280-320' forehands that need to go dead straight with a reliable (but not extreme) fade at the end. Even after almost 3 years in the bag (it was one of my first ever drivers), it hasn't lost stability and is reliable in all weather conditions.

This was my first MVP disc and I wasn't disappointed. I opted for a lower weight than I'd normally throw after reading some other reviews claiming it was more overstable than advertised, so I was glad to see there were plenty of lower weight options available in Fission plastic. Feels great in my hand for both BH and FH throws. I wouldn't suggest a brand new player start with one, but the variety of weights allows nearly any arm speed the ability to throw one.

I have a 168gm fission Tesla and it bombs.

The fission plastic is soft but the overmold rim is solid. This is not an overstable driver, at least in fission plastic. My fission Photon is a lot more stable than this. I find the fission Tesla to be rather flippy on a big shot. It does not fight back like I initially expected it to, but it's easy to use that flip to get great long distance straight hyzer flips out of it with hardly any fade at the end.

I'm thinking of getting a proton or plasma version to help increase the stability.

The rim feels great in my hand for both BH and FH.

I do find myself using the fission Volt more often than the Tesla, though, and even though the Volt is a slower disc, it seems to be a bit more OS for me than the Tesla. This could be simply due to the randomness in molding plastic of course.

Regardless, it's a beautiful disc that flies where you put it once you get to know it's personality a little bit. For the disc I have in my hand right now, I'd put the turn at -2, maybe even -2.5, and the fade to 1.

I have this mold in proton and fission the proton is much more flat top than the fission i throw the fission more so ill just reference that in the review i don't get much turn from it and it fades less drastically  than my photon so for me i use it as a push hyzer and get it out about 300 down a tunel with a slight dogleg left its very consistent for me and even though i only throw it on one specific type of shot i can trust it as my go to for that shot and thus its in my bag!

This disc is Fantastic, and this is where I could end my review.... But I have so many more superlatives to use. I bag 2 fission tesla's both 156g but at different stages of wear, and these are some of my favorite turnover or flip to straight distance drivers. I also bag a plasma 175g for forehand flicks. The fission tesla is not quite strong enough to handle a bigger forehand shot but if you go to the plasma plastic instead this mold will handle just about anything you give it. It an exquisite driver with a poetic flight pattern, watching this disc fly down the fairway is like watching the most beautiful sunset you can imagine. The feeling of throwing this disc resembles that of being cuddled by a thousand puppy dogs. I don't think that 5 stars is really enough but I guess that is what I am limited to.

In conclusion, this is a great mold for all skill levels just adjust the weight and plastic and you are sure to find a disc that does what you need.

Precise distance for moderate arms is what's produced by the combination of MVP's Fission plastic with the Tesla mold. The definition of a "control driver".

This disc is amazing. I have the 146 g fission and it does what I ask it to do.  It is great off the tee and wonderful for long approachs.

I have 153 gram fission Tesla and boy does this disc instill confidence. It is surprisingly wind resistant for its weight and very easy to throw for a distance driver. The gyro tech means it doesn't skip like most drivers and is a very predictable disc. It handles sidearms surpisingly well for a light disc. I highly recommend it to everyone.
