The Tangent is an understable midrange disc by Maple Valley Plastics. MVP disc sports is known for its high quality putters and midrange discs while utilizing the overmold and “gyroscope” technology. This understable disc is ideal for beginners and less powerful disc golfers, but will also hold a place for more powerful throwers who need a nice straight flight. MVP claims that it has a smooth profile that will fit in your hand like a glove. The Tangent complements MVP’s Vector & Axis nicely to give MVP a full suite of midranges, with the Tangent being the most understable of the bunch.

From the second I bought this disc, it went straight into my bag and hasn't left it. It has a nice look and feel in the proton plastic. It is not as understable as I had thought when reading reviews.

For a beginner like myself, it is pretty straight out of the hand and has gentle fade at the end. For upshots and ace runs, it is a nice disc to have in the bag to compliment an overstable zone. As it gets more beat in, its starting to flip a little more.

This was just an OK disc for me. It flew straight, probably more turn then rated on full drives. The plastic was slick for me which I didn't really like. Maybe another blend other then Proton would be better.

Glide was more like a 3 to me. I really prefer the Evidence or Warship myself for this slot.

The anti-zone. This disc has a similar depth and speed of the ever popular Discraft Zone and flight path and bead unlike it completely. I find it great for straight to anhyzer  approaches and short drives. It filled a spot in my bag next to a zone that I had widely ignored until lately, the fast putter. With a domey top, a small bead, and a flexible comfortable feel, this disc has approach written all over it. The glide is short and this disc does not travel far. Standing drives puts it out to about 250+ for me. Great for short technical holes.great for tunnel shots. Hyzerflips in a small burst of energy giving a drive that lacks any awe. Precisely why it landed in my bag. Great disc. Not quite as far flying as a Mako3. Reminds me of an old Mako with way more consistency. Great disc. Does everything a zone doesn't!

MVP did something right with this one.

I love hyzer flipping this disc it pops up to flat and just holds if i really put everything  into a hyzer flip i can get it to leak out right before it settles into its final resting spot its not a big skipper even on hard dirt it like to hit and slide to a rest.

A go to in my bag for approach shots and short drives on calm days.  With little wind the tangent will hold almost any line you put it on.  Throw it on an anhyzer and it will soar for forever with just a bit of fade at the end.  My only real complaint on the disc is that it becomes too flippy when it's too windy out, but as a fairly understable mid-range that is to be expected.  Otherwise this is a great super reliable point and shoot type midrange that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Got this in a circuit tourney.  Havn't thrown it a lot, but seems easy to turn over, but when not overpowered and thrown flat makes for a good mid.  The flight plate is very durable, but the edge can get dinged pretty easy.  I'll try and bag it for a few rounds and give another review...

Tangent, you hear the silly phrase holds any line you put it on all the time and for the most part it means nothing. The Tangent can be thrown hard or soft.. I can put it out around 250 and not worry that it is going to turn and burn on a flat release... I can also throw it from a knee and an ani around a tree from 70 out and it will flow around the tree to the basket with almost no effort....If you really rip into it it does turn but it is a slow turn that is very easy to control. I have a few holes that pretty much require a forehand shot if you dont want to land OB and the tangent has allowed me to back hand the hole knowing that i can count on it to make it far enough out before the turn kicks in that i can clear the crap fest of trees and flow back into the green zone. I can do this with other disc and even park the hole with the proper ani shot with a driver but, that is a 50/50 shots were as i can park the tangent in the fair way 90% of the time which is saying allot for that hole on a back hand shot. Most people do forehand road skips or massive hyzer out over the river that require you to throw it through trees at the tee box and if ya miss or hit a tree its water time. Over all its a great disc that i have had for a while but i was only using it for anhyzer shots, but now that i have started using the disc more i have found that it is my number one approach disc. The tensor is a great disc to pair with the tangent. I am using a 167g Neutron Tangent and i Prefer it over the 175g Proton glow tangent. The Proton is more stable and kind flys like my vector.. but my vector is beat to crap
