The MVP disc line-up had lacked an overstable midrange disc for quite a while, until now! The Deflector is a meat-hook with a hard fade, perfect for strong forehand throws, fighting the wind, and shaping some dramatic flight patterns to navigate around obstacles. This is the real deal!  MVP gives the flight rating a 5 / 3.5 / 0 / 4

Favorite OS mid. Great utility/escape disc and off the tee on shorter holes or longer approaches. Reliability and consistency is the key here. This thing ignores wind and generally sits when it lands, unless thrown low and hard on any amount of hyzer angle; then it will give a pretty sizeable skip. Mine is super flat and feels great for backhand and forehand. Probably too much beef for most beginners.

Dependable meathook! As you throw it, it almost immediately wants to fight to the ground. Great utility disc, but for most it will probably be a bit too overstable to see regular play.

The deflector is an amazing disc for beginners learning to throw forehand. I am primarily a forehand player and have only been playing for 4-5 weeks. Having a baseball background, the anhyzer angle came natural so having a very overstable disc provided natural support for my type of throwing.

The best part about this disc is that it is incredibly consistent. If you are throwing forehand, it will always end up falling right regardless of how heavy of an anhyzer angle it starts on. In fact, you can get some decent distance with this disc as well by leveraging the anhyzer angle and starting the disc left.

The only negative with this disc is that if you have any height on the disc, it can crash right way to hard putting you in a rough spot. So focus on your starting angle and height and play it the way it is meant to be played (Aka mid-range approach shots). Don't try to get fancy with this disc as it will do one thing and one thing only.

    Odd stability.

Doesn't fight out of anhyzer angles, but absolutely tanks when released on hyzer.

Hard to throw more than 250-275 forehand, which is somewhat desirable for certain shots, but it feels like the distance it gets is inconsistent.

This is one of the most overstable mids on the market rivaling that of the Justice, MOAB, MD5, and more. It's extremely comfortable in the hand being board flat and beadless. I have yet to see this disc turn in any amount of wind or power. It fades as soon as you release the disc.

The feel in the hand is a medium heighten profile, board flat, stiff and beadless disc.

Scientists will discover, many centuries from now, that the MVP deflector has the capability to generate gravity from thin air. Most overstable disc I've touched. It took a while to understand how and where to use this disc but now it's a must bag. Particularly useful as a get out of jail free utility, I primarily use it for scramble sidearms on wooded courses, also great for spike hyzers that need to hook around an obstacle and immediately sit. Love the grip on the rim as well

It works as advertised, folks. When you absolutely, positively need a disc to fade, you can count on this disc. I swear I can feel this disc start to fade while it's still in my hand. An underrated aspect of this disc is that it is very comfortable to grip and throw. Not to mention that the MVP plastic is as durable as it is pretty. I've smoked a few trees with the Deflector and the disc has won that battle each time. If you have a spot in your bag for a utility disc, the Deflector is a great choice.

This is by far my favorite disc I have ever thrown! The Deflector has to be the most over stable disc ever made. No matter how you throw it, it will always fade hard into the ground. My favorite line to throw with this is a RHFH on super anhyzer, I mean over a 45 degree angle, and watch it make huge s-curves in such a short distance. This disc has just the right amount of glide to get some flight out of it. If thrown flat I can get 200-220 feet out of it (RHBH), but if thrown on anhyzer you can expect more distance. This disc is perfect for strong wind situations because you could never turn this disc over.

This disc should by no means be your go to driver. But it is the most versatile utility disc you will ever find. I would never give this disc to a beginner, but anyone who can learn how to throw this disc will not be disappointed. The Deflector will be in my bag for a long time to come.

I found the headwind cheat code!!! This has to be the most overstable disc in existence. I just threw this into a headwind in a field against my Z-Zone, Star RocX3, and even compared it to the MVP Motion and Limit (I know they are drivers, but good for  overstability comparison). This thing doesn't glide, doesn't turn right and gets to the ground faster than ANY OTHER DISC. I can get drivers out past 500' regularly in the field and I torqued the Deflector on a low anhyzer line, (RHBH)  only to have it immediately turn left and head down. My Zone (pretty new, hardly beat in) stood up, rode the wind and faded left, the RocX3 turned just a hair over, but not the Deflector. I recommend strictly as a utility disc for stiff headwinds, not something you would want a beginner to learn with or use regularly as it does not behave like a disc at all.

I love this disc for many reasons. Obviously it is super reliable in its flight, always turning early and hard. If I'm ever parked behind a tree, I can pull this disc out and just adjust the height and power depending on how far i need to hook around the obstacle. The disc can also be thrown as an overhead forehand roller and will hold a dead straight line for around 250ft before fading slightly and stopping. It can also be thrown as a touch anhyzer forehand accruatly as it always flips back over into a hyzer.

After a few rounds, this disc kicked my champ gator out of the bag. I love the cleaner releases I get from beadless molds and this is now my go to very OS mid/utility disc. It fades early and hard, but will get longer with some seasoning. Love hyzering this way out and watching it come spiking back. It's the only gyro disc I bag, but it is always reliable.

I love, love, love this disc!!!! Did I mention I love it? This was an instant bag when I got it and I use in every round. It is a hard hook but with it being a midrange it makes it very versatile. Can rip it high hyzer to get around things, can flex it for long lines, can rip sidearms with no risk of flipping (great distance as well!!), and can use for approach shots to get around and sit by the basket.

I recently picket up a used one for a backup, when beat it well they get a lot of distance prior to the fade if you rip it.

100% grass feed, prime beef. That's what this disc is. I've thrown drones, zones, harps, Justices, suspects, BuzzzOS, Runway, and nothing has come close to the deflector in its beef. It is crazy overstable at times. It did not like to be throw on hyzer...like at all. It would get to the ground way to quick if thrown on any bit of hyzer. It loves to be thrown on anny.  Because of its stability it allows you to carve some very unique lines, but at the end of the day it is just too overstable for me. I could see it coming into the bag for certain courses or if I lose my justice, but I think I'll stick to my zone for now. I give it 3.5/5

I picked up a neutron that looks just like the red one in the feature photo. Listed at 176 grams and it is a thing of beauty. Super flat top and it has a sloping non-beaded wing, that makes this very similar to a Justice, but without the bead that could turn some people off. The hand feel is great and the flight numbers are legit.

I have been using it for FH flex shots, hyzers and hit and stick BH shots and it does them all great.

Have heard some noise that the rims on recent MVP discs isn't as durable as the older ones, so I took this sucker to a skate park and my daughter and I threw a bunch of crazy skip shots off the ramps and bowls, getting the Deflector to ride the rims and roll around(gyro is real btw this thing will roll around a bowl for ages). The rim held up really well with only mild abrasions and it still throws just as stable.

If you need a highly OS mid, this a great option.

I would bet that this is the most overstable mid on the market. It fades so fast. I can get it to ride flat for a bit, but it dumps very quick. It is my favorite utility disc. I use it for skip up shots, hyzer spikes, anny flick shots to fade, it even flattens out when tossed with a high tomahawk.

The disc is flat as a board and stiff as a result. I beat the crap out of it against trees, rocks, cement, and the thing never lost stability. It's a must have utility disc for any intermediate to advanced players. Beginners will hate it.

I have 2 neutron deflectors in my bag currently .This is a great overstable midrange and is my most predictable for sure.I also have an MD5 to compliment it for shots i need more glide and skip on .I love the way the deflector feels in the hand, flat top make it a good sidearm disc for shorter approaches. The deflector stops quickly for such an overstable disc. The deflector replaced my rocx3 when it got flippy and i have been incredibly happy with it.The nuetron plastic holds its flight characteristics very well.I have thrown my deflector hundreds of times full power and it shows no signs of becoming flippy anytime soon.If you have 350 ft plus power i would recommend the deflector. This!

This is the only Mid-Range I bag. Sounds crazy right? Before the Deflector came out, I kept exactly 0 Mids in my bag. I am way more confident (and successful) with putters so I tend to stick with them rather than Mids. There was a lot of hype around the MVP Deflector once it first came out so I decided to give it a try. Nearly got an ace with it the first round I threw it. Ended up reaching for it a lot more than I thought I would during the first few rounds with it so it earned a permanent spot in my bag.  MVP fans had been tirelessly asking for a true OS Mid from the Gyro companies for quite some time... and boy did they get it! If you need a good short meat hook without sacrificing glide, get yourself a Deflector! I don't see it losing a spot in my bag for a very long time, if ever!

This is my go-to overstable midrange.  It feels great in hand and has lower profile than buzzz os.  It has more of a driver type wing than most os midranges.  This disc is great for forehands, thumbers, forehand rollers, etc.  It is mvp version of a flat top gator, but without bead.  I have 3 throw ins now from over 100 feet, and 1 was for eagle on par 5.  Much needed disc in mvp lineup and one of their best imo.

    Bring on the Beef!

This disc found an immediate spot in my bag (and a special spot in my heart) the very first day i used it. It is now one of my most consistent and reliable discs. Final round elite card and I need to hit a line, the deflector brings home the victory. This disc cannot be turned over. I use it mostly RHFH for right turning shots 250-320 ft, or as a utility disc to shape flex shots through the woods with precision accuracy. You aim there, it goes there.

Since it is so beefy i wouldn't reccommend it for beginners. It takes a lot of power and control to use effectively. If you can't throw a regular midrange 275ft+ then this bad boy will probably fade out on you after 100ft. If you need a disc you can confidently put all your might into and not fear a turn over this is the disc for you. If you want to gain some strokes on your cards in the woods by carving up lines no one even thought possible than this is for you.

Instantly dropped a few strokes after getting a deflector.  If I am in range and can use the deflector you bet that booty that it's getting thrown.  The most reliable gyro out there, great for both bh and fh.  It's hard to imagine I ever played without it.  Just throw it high and wide and let it do it's thing, or throw it low and get that skip you need.  I can't recommend it enough.

This is a beefy disc, not much glide but very reliable hard fade. This is the only MVP midrange i can consistently forehand very well and i love it for the get out of trouble short forehand shots this offers me. I have not thrown this in extreme wind yet, but that's what i imagine this disc to be good for. Compared to MVPs other midranges, this is the highest speed (14.5mm) which explains the over stable flight and lower glide compared to the 13mm midranges they make. I bought this disc with the intention of using it as a wind cutter or get out of trouble forehand approach disc when i really need something i can rely on no matter what to make a short approach land where i want, or for tournaments when conditions get rough and it has perfectly filled that role.

I am forehand dominate so this disc was a perfect addition to my bag. I use a BT-Burst Harp for shorter approaches (inside 120 ft) and MVP resistor for longer approaches (220-300 ft). The deflector's distance and reliable fade fit perfectly between the two. The deflector is also a lot smaller than most midranges (height wise) which made it easier for me to flick.

Swapped this disc in my bag to replace a Justice as I prefer the consistancy of MVP discs.  Was not disappointed.  For me, this disc carries a little farther than the Justice but still has that reliable fade.  Put on a hyzer and it will spike nicely, however, if flexed it tends to skip considerably longer than my Justice.

I had been bagging a DD Hybrid Justice for awhile and liked its overstability, but it felt like such a brick in my hand. I eventually lost it in some terrifying shule and as luck would have it, MVP released the Deflector a week or so later.

This thing feels great in the hand. Not as board flat as the Justice, but I still liked the profile for forehand flex shots. I was using this for approaches from 225' in and found myself nailing the distance almost every time, even on my first round with it. Even had two throw-ins from just outside circle 2!

Very predictable flight and fade. I really like how it can still get a bit of ground action with a skip if thrown flat, but will die quickly on a spikier angle. I definitely feel like it has more glide than a Justice, which makes it more useful even if it's a hair less beefy than the Justice in my mind. The only thing that would make this disc better is if it was under the Axiom brand as I love their color options more. HIGHLY recommend this disc!

This disc shows no mercy. If your are looking for a meat hook look no further. Beadless, somewhat shallow rim, very comfortable. I don't like the bead of the Gator or the feel of a Justice. It's filled the hole in my bag for what I need it for. 200-250' dogleg left. ~150' dogleg right(weak forehand game). Strong wind, no problem. I've used it for short putts a couple times. Where's the beef? It's right here in this disc. This is the mid-range that mvp honestly changed the game with. When it absolutely positively must go left, and never turn over and not Glide a million miles, we are talking anything under 300 feet, throw this disc. I thought this would simply be a Utility disc but now it has become one of my go-to discs in the bag.

The Deflector truly is the mid that MVP fans have been waiting for! I've bagged a Justice for years and I heavily rely on my overstable mids for my upshots. The Deflector truly fills this spot! I found it just as overstable as my beat in Biofuzion Justice, so maybe a tad less stable than a brand new Justice.

The rim feels really good and comes out of the hand clean. I played a whole round with just the Deflector at a course with holes 200-250 ft. I was able to park almost every hole with it, and I was in love!

Thank You MVP! I have been bagging a Justice for a couple of years for that crazy overstable slot but never really clicked with it (I'm not a fan of Beaded discs). However, I clicked with the Deflector immediately. The Deflector is definitely Beefy, but when thrown side by side with the Justice I noticed that it held a straighter line a little longer and it consistently ended up about 20 feet further with a nice left finish. I also found it to be more controllable both back hand and forehand. I am loving this disc.

    176 G Neutron Deflector

This disc is the BEEF. I have thrown plenty of super overstable midranges: Gators, Mortars, RocX3s, MD4s. The Deflector is kind of in a league of it's own. I haven't had a chance to throw a Justice but I have a hard time believing it is a OS as this bad boy. Throw it hard, throw it soft, anhyzer, flat, hyzer; this thing just wants to get to the ground. I don't love the feel of it in the hand, it has what feels like a mix of a fairway driver and midrange rim, and is as flat as a disc can be. If you are looking for some beef, look no further than the Deflector.

Yes, MVP came through this time with a ridiculously overstable mid. When the DD Justice came out three years ago, it was a game changer for me. The ridiculous overstability was so good for approach shots and it's ability to just spike into the ground without much glide or skip. Since the Justice, other brands have tried to come up with super beefy mids, and while they were overstable, they could still not fill the same purpose as the Justice.

The MVP Deflector can. Throw this disc and it will immediately start to fade. If you throw it high with a little hyzer it will spike towards the ground at like a missle at a nearly vertical angle. Throw the deflecter at an anhyzer angle and it will flex out and still fade, perfect for those odd angles where you need to curve one way and then the other to navigate around trees.

This disc is money. It is so reliable. If you are a Gyro fan, you NEED a Deflector in your bag.

This is the real deal! I feel like this is the beefy, overstable mid-range that MVP fans have been waiting for. Though the Matrix was a good, dependable mid-range with a moderate fade, is simply wasn't the beefcake, hard-fade disc that people expected. But the Deflector lives up to the hype. The Deflector rivals discs like the Dynamic Discs Justice or the new Westside Anvil when it comes to a hard fade at the end of flight. This is a great disc for hyzer throws, sharp turns around obstacles, or strong forehand throws. I didn't get to test it into a headwind, but I imagine it would fight into the wind and still have some fade left to give.

I played about 12 holes throwing only the Deflector and a putter, and I walked away feeling like it could take the spot of any utility overstable mid-range in any bag. My son, who throws high hyzer shots better than I do, was parking almost every basket in the 200-250 foot range for birdies just by going high and falling sharply out of the sky into the circle. People who play that style are going to love the Deflector.

I would NOT recommend this disc to a beginner. The fade is so exaggerated that they would become frustrated and unable to get the disc to cover much ground. The Deflector is a wonderful disc for experienced players who know what they're doing and know how to use an overstable disc.

    Nice work, MVP!
