I bought, tossed, killed, beat, flipped, burned, run over just about every putter in North America.  Some I thought were decent, others I hated.  The Spike...just feels right.

It's so hard to review a putter because putting is as independent as our DNA, everyone has a different feel, different wants and needs in their money game.  To me, and if you're looking for a shallow(er) putter, and one that just stays on whatever line you put it on, give the Spike a run.  Doesn't hold an anhyzer line on drives, it'll fight out of it at the end, but that's what my Opto Pure is for.  The grip pads really make a difference for me as well.  If you've lost sleep over just how crappy your putting game is, and like putters with a tad more mid range feel, give the Spike a shot.

Throw an anhyzer and it will stay anhyzer.  Throw a hyzer and it will hyzer.  This disc stays on the line you put it on.  If you throw a big anhyzer bomb it will try and come out of it but it normally won't to much.  It's great if you have a good shot down range.  You can throw an anhyzer flick towards the basket and it'll try to flex out but it'll end up just landing flat and won't move a lot.  If you throw a 200 foot bomb at the basket on an anhyzer line, don't expect it to just lay where it lands.  I mainly mean just 100 foot flicks at the basket for an upshot.

I personally don't like it for putting but I can a Zero Soft and I don't really like soft putters.

This is my first review on this site. I have been playing for 5+yrs. And to put it simply... this is the only putter I have in the bag now. I have the Zero Hard and Zero Soft. I use the Hard for longer putts or for drives where a putter is required. I use the Soft for every other putts. Lat64 did make this for a driving putter, but I use it all the time. There ARE no other putters in my bag. I use a 175g, but I'd imagine for a newbie - a lighter weight may be better. I love the rough thumb pads on the disc and they make for a nice "let-go". There is no bead on this putter and I happen to like that. Everyone is different on the beaded putters. Other than that - this disc flies straight and holds a solid line. Definitely recommend for all.

Flat flight is an understatment. Whatever line you give to it it will hold.

I only got to throw this putter a few times, and I wasn't too happy with it. The shallow rim got to me, it never felt like I had a good grip, and my release point was inconsistent. That said, I did notice that it had a very consistent flight, so for someone comfortable with the grip, it would be a very good disc.
