The Halo is the premium distance driver for power throwers. This is an ultra-high-speed (13) overstable driver and will provide max distance for the strongest arms. This is one of the thinnest (1.4 cm) discs on the market, but has a very wide rim (2.4mm) that makes it ultra fast. The Halo is one of Latitude 64's farthest flying discs.

The Halo was my first go to distance driver, having received it as a mystery disc from this site. In fact, my first ever birdie was a park job with a Halo. I think this disc is a great choice for intermediate players who want to try their hands at a high speed distance driver. For intermediate arms I think this disc flies very consistently and over stable. But as my arm speed progressed it became much more touchy and flippy. I no longer bag this disc but it used to be very reliable for me. And even to this day, no disc comes out of my hand faster than the Halo. I would recommend it to intermediate players for sure.

I traded for this disc with a friend and after throwing it for a while I realized that this disc was not what I thought it would be as every single time I throw it, it turns over extremely hard and to make it so it doesn't dive straight into the ground I have to throw it on an insane hyzer line. I don't know if this is just cause I am throwing it too hard or cause this disc was made differently but it doesn't seem overstable to me.

    Reliable Work Horse

The Halo is consistent, that's for sure. I wish I had a little more arm speed so that I could make it my regular distance driver. I don't think it's quite as stable as advertised, I was able to get turn out of the Halo. However, you will see some heavier fade if you don't have the arm speed for a 13 speed disc. Personally, I think this disc feels really good in the hand as well. If you have some power and your in the market for an all around distance driver, look no further than the Halo.

The numbers on this disc are incorrect.

I am extremely pleased finding this disc and adding it to my bag. I have an old Discraft Nuke in Elite z with a concave top that has the same flight path of my old Vibram Laces I loved so much for max distance. The problem is that it's an old Nuke. Not a nuke. This disc when brand new flew the same flight path as my old laces did. I will attach my review of the lace below from my old profile to save trouble.  The rim difference is marginal. The laces glided a bit more. But otherwise this disc is the closest I have found this far.

"This is an absolutely special disc.  It goes very far. When thrown correctly it doesn't turn or fade much at all, a mixed blessing. A slight mistake and its blocks away from where you wanted it.  Nothing better to tunnel out of the thick into an open field. A must have for the 1000' holes. There will always be a place for for this sniper rifle in my bag. Long range arrow. Not a replacement for a true driver by any means, it is just a lazer. Could be used to deal out angled shots, but to me it serves one purpose. Power in a bottle neck without having to hyzer flip."

Good Job Lat 64. I sure do enjoy throwing this disc! You should adjust the numbers for those who purchase online. This is not like an Innova Boss at all.

This is my bomber disc.  I don't exactly agree with the flight numbers because I noticed some significant high speed turn. Maybe earlier runs we're more overstable but for me it's a longer Trespass.  When there's no wind and I need distance this is the disc I'm reaching for.

very good distance from this very fast disc. It is a head wind fighting disc that is stable in the head wind but over stable without the head wind. It has impressive glide and length and is controllable.

Hello all! In my opinion there are two different opto Halos out there. The first Halo I got to throw was a dark purple 'pop top' or domey Halo. I max out my distance drives in the 410-430 foot range, and for me, this disc was very OS. I could release it with a bunch of anhyzer, and it would fight out of it almost immediately. I recently purchased another to have as a back-up, and when it came, I noticed that it was very flat compared to the other. Upon the first throw with the newer flatter Halo, it was apparent that these were two totally different discs that shared the same name.

I first got the Halo hoping it would be one of my most stable backhand drivers. I found immediately that the ratings didn't really seem accurate, and it flew a lot more understable for me. Generally when you are comparing Trilogy plastic to Innova/Discmania, the Trilogy ratings are always a little more understable than they say. Even taking this into consideration, the Halo was a lot more understable than it should have been.

After experiencing this, and seeing Latitude 64's new disc the Cutlass with exactly the same ratings, I was a little confused. I did some homework and found out that when the Halo first came out, it was a lot more true to its ratings. Latitude 64 was bringing out the Cutlass to fill its spot, and had plans to adjust the ratings of the Halo to better reflect its current flight rating.

All of that being said, I think the Halo is a great disc, but it never quite made it into my bag. I won't get rid of the disc, but it is a little too similar to my Frost Havoc, which I prefer. I am excited to try the Cutlass, in hopes it will be a more stable option. Hopefully I don't discourage anyone from getting this disc, as it is a great disc. I just let my expectations get the best of me, and the Halo didn't fill the slot I had originally left for it.

Reliable, dead straight disc, with a slight turn when really ripped. I have a heavy one in Opto and I can even throw hammershots with it and it doesn't turn a bit - it either cuts in the ground and stays, or goes on in roller. It has quite a wide, low rim, which can be quite uncomfortable for somebody.

Beautiful disc. Plastic looks and feels great(opto). Great for hyzer dives or hard cuts around objects.
