Taking into consideration that my max distance is about 300ft, I find this to be a very reliable driver. I have been learning to do a flex shot with my backhand and it has gotten me some pretty good success, and it is very dependable on a forehand. I would definitely recommend one.

The Explorer is a great disc! I received it in my PDGA membership package this year, and it lived up to the hype. I'm a beginner, and I can get this disc up to about 275' on a good throw. It flies super good, and I love Trilogy. It will always have a spot in my bag

This is basically Lat 64's Teebird clone, and it's equally as magnificent. It's slightly flippier than a Teebird, but not nearly enough to turn over - just enough that a gentle hyzer will pop it to flat. It also has fantastic glide and forward carry. Not hard to get good distance.

Love this disc.  I could see it fading a bit on a newbie, but it's a fairly neutral fairway that's pretty resistant to turn.  I haven't noticed too much difference in plastics other than Opto-X being considerably more stable.  I bag a Special Edition at 174 and Opto at 169 and the weight difference doesn't effect the flight much as far as I can tell either.  Grab a plastic you like the feel of, a color that sticks out to you, and have a good time "Exploring" your course.
