The Ballista Pro is the big brother to the popular distance driver, the Ballista. It features added stability for experienced players. It is a great option if you are looking for a distance driver that can navigate tight fairways. With an ideal balance of speed, stability (fade) and glide, it can be a go-to, high-speed, distance driver for players who are rising rapidly in their disc golf abilities.

good for long straight FH shots.   throw flat and has a nice S shape.   I like the air model throwing downwind.  my longest FH drives are w/ this disc

I have seen a lot of molds get the Air plastic makeover and I have loved my max weight ballista pro, so I thought I would give an air ballista pro a shot.  I have tried several other air plastic discs and have noticed that many fly like completely different molds.  This is one that I think is pretty much the exact same thing only lighter.

This disc is the farthest flying disc I have throw consistently.  I usually FH this, and if it is calm or I have a slight tailwind, this disc will go for days!  It moves so quickly down the fairway and always turns back.  I have thrown this with a BH as well and I add about 30-50 feet of distance from a normal ballista pro.

To be honest, I had the assumption that air plastic discs were for noodle arms and old guys, but this disc has put that myth to bed.  It flies just like a ballista pro and gets huge distance.

First impressions from a 48 year old advanced player with ~350 max distance: After several throws comparing the Air Ballista Pro with the rest of my bag, I'm liking this disc. At 159g, it is more stable than a 168g Sheriff and similar in stability to my slightly beat 170g Recycled Giants and Recycled Gladiators. When I really cranked it and add a little OAT, it will slide right (RHBH) and has a moderate fade. Against a 5 mph headwind I could not get it to turn and burn, and thrown into a 5 mph tailwind it would fly straight for only 100' or so before starting to gradually fade. It was longer than my Recycled Giants and Recycled Gladiators by about 10', and in a handful of throws seemed to be fairly consistent. This disc will compete against a crowded field for space in my bag, but it does have some serious distance. I can almost believe it is speed 14 (let's say its a real speed 13).
