The Gold Line Ballista Pro has been my main max distance driver for over a year now, and holy moley is this a great disc!

While it was intimidating to try a 14-speed driver at first, it proved to be a great leap of faith as I added another 50-75 feet of distance right away. This disc helped push me over the 400-foot mark, and is not as overstable as its numbers indicate.

My Gold Line Ballista Pros definitely have a little turn to them (more of a -1 than a 0), and I have burned them over before. As my arm-speed has progressed more, I've had to be more diligent about the angles I'm throwing them on.

Ballista Pros are an absolutely fantastic max distance driver that I recommend for almost anyone. If you're fighting a strong head wind, or just have a faster arm-speed - check out the Royal Rive.

Picked this up recently and it is quickly becoming my favorite driver. This thing bombs. for reference, I got Gold plastic, 175g.

I do get a bit of flip out of it, but always a reliable finish. very comparable to my destroyer, but a touch faster.

Two thing are undeniable about the Ballista Pro: massive speed and massive skips.

I have not seen any disc cut through the air faster than this mold, and I think most of that is attributed to its rim size, sharp nose, and small but gradual dome.  The ground play the Ballista Pro gets upon first landing is immense as well, which is great for adding even extra distance to a drive, but can sometime be bad for shot accuracy.

The sheer amount of forward penetration this disc gets often means it finds its way down a fairway with a very minimal turn as far if not farther than my more understable drivers when given a full S-flight.

As per usual with Latitude molds, I find the turn to be -1 greater than what they're advertised as, and not the meathook that the numbers indicate.  I see the Ballista Pro as a faster Destroyer.  It's definitely a disc that has the potential to be the farthest flier on the market for advanced arms (Tristan Tanner did just recently throw one over 1000 feet), yet even people with slower arm speeds can still grab themselves a ~160g Goldline Ballista Pro and find great success.

Heres the thing, NOT FOR BEGINNERS, this disc is 14 speed which means you really need to have a massive arm in order to get it to where it wants. The numbers are fairly accurate so the line keeps straight with a pretty decent fade. If you got an arm then you probably practice this disc off the tee.

The Ballista Pro in Goldline plastic is the farthest flying disc in my bag. I can get it to go just as far, if not farther, than my 12 speeds with less effort. However, the turn/fade are different than advertised, in my opinion. This is not an understable disc, but it's a stable one with a decent fade at the end of its flight. Throwing this disc flat can make it turn right for a while before coming back to fade left. However, it does hold the hyzer line pretty well. Despite this lack of stability, I love the flight of this disc! It's a lot of fun to use, and I can't wait to try the Opto version.

Absolute distance for those that can throw. Consistent  standing  no run up 400 foot drives that fade yet stay straight in a headwind. Max power I have gotten this out 450+ on flat ground and no wind help. With a tailwind I throw its little brother the Ballista and get the same result but longer. I throw everything on a slight hyzer. When I crank an anny it will not fade, slight right turn and holds for miles.

This disc is my favorite distance driver of all time. Before I bagged this and its little brother the Ballista I thought I knew what I was capable of. Nothing compares to these and I have my  max distance drivers. Now that they are wearing in and I am getting fresh Ballista lines with a seasoned pro.  I will have 4 of these in my bag. I keep getting asked what I just threw. If you can only throw a destroyer 350-375 try this instead. Mind blowing.

I had a Ballista and loved it, but as I devloped and as the disc got beat in, it has become far too flippy for me. I wanted a disc that felt similar but had more stability without being overstable. I decided to try the Opto Ballista and Gold Line Ballista Pro. Between those two, I am definitely loving the Ballista Pro in Goldline plastic!

This thing will fly straight as an arrow on a rope and then like a trusted friend, fade left at the end of its flight. Not only does this disc in bright red with the blue stamp look freaking sweet, it flies sweet too! It's sleek, fast, and just a joy to throw. It's exactly what I was looking for.

If you want a disc that feels great in the hands (slim and sleek without too deep of a rim, but does have a nice wide rim) and can handle the torque you put on it without being a meathook that wants to dump left too quickly, give the Ballista Pro a try. You won't be disappointed. I'm consistently throwing this disc about 375'

I currently bag 5 Ballista Pros as they have become my favorite driver of all time. I'll start with the general features of it's feel and flight, and then delve into the plastic specific.

The Ballista Pro is fast, stable, and reliable at high speeds. Although it has a fade of 3, I would not really consider it an overstable disc. Likewise it has a turn of 0, which I would rate it having a turn of -0.5 as thrown with some power it will demonstrate some high speed turn before fading back, yielding great distance. The grip is very comfortable as the rim isn't too wide, and all of the Ballista Pros I've recieved have some dome.

    Plastics:

Gold Line: Gold line has the most comfortable feel for me. It is grippy, domey, and a little gummy. Compared to Opto and Chameleon Opto plastics, it is the more glidey and less-stable. For me, this plastic is great for hyzerflips and max distance.

Opto: The plastic is fairly stiff, more slick than the Gold line, and the most comfortable to grip. The Opto plastic is stable, ideal for flat shots to get a little turn, but a mostly-straight flight. The Opto Ballista Pro is my most consistent flight, similar to, but a little less stable than a Lucid Raider.

Opto Chameleon: This plastic was very stiff and the disc flies very overstable. The stability difference in this plastic makes it fly almost like a different mold. This is perfect for big anhyzer shots and for fighting headwinds.

Opto Air: The Air plastic is the flattest disc of my Ballista Pros, and, to my surprise, has plenty of stability despite it's light weight. I use the Air Ballista Pro for forehands and it treats me
