The Ballista Pro is the big brother to the popular distance driver, the Ballista. It features added stability for experienced players. It is a great option if you are looking for a distance driver that can navigate tight fairways. With an ideal balance of speed, stability (fade) and glide, it can be a go-to, high-speed, distance driver for players who are rising rapidly in their disc golf abilities.

The Ballista Pro is a little bit of a tough disc to really rate. The one I have is a stubborn flier, but I see basically endless untapped potential in it. I find that I have a hard time throwing it consistently.

The Ballista Pro seems a little flatter and faster than its counterpart (regular Ballista). It doesn't glide as well and is noticeably more overstable. The Ballista Pro is meant to be absolutely smashed, and will handle all the arm you can give it. Only on my very best rips will I see any high speed turn with the Ballista Pro. On most shots it will fly straight and then fade hard at the end of flight. I feel like I lose some distance because I can't quite get a big flex line out of this disc.

The Ballista Pro has a very wide, shallow rim. Its a super fast driver that seems to slice effortlessly through the air. I almost feel like the sheer speed limits glide somewhat. Most of the distance I get with the Ballista Pro seems like a sheer penetrative flight. I can max out at about 410' with the Ballista Pro, but it takes every bit of arm I have to do so. You don't get any help with flex or superior glide here. Just speed and penetration.

Overall, I find this disc useful. The Ballista Pro does well in the wind, and doesn't get tossed around easily. It is extremely resistant to flipping as well. I probably wouldn't pull out the Ballista Pro for maximum distance, but the disc's overstability produces a valuable, consistent flight. You know what you're getting when you throw it.

Not a disc for beginners. This is a beefy driver that takes a hard rip to make it perform properly. I love the mold though. It flies exactly as advertised and is overstable/consistent without being too beefy to throw properly.

A 5 star disc. I don't quite have the arm to flex out a Ballista Pro, but I still very much like what this disc produces.

For the overstable distance driver spot in the bag, they are one of the best that I've tried. They are overstable without being meat hooks. They have a very wide yet comfortable rim and are very consistent across different wind conditions. They are dependable and have a significant fade, yet I can still get them out pretty far.
