Money - switched from Champion to Halo Toro recently. For context - I was a zone thrower before. Halo grip on a backhand is superior. It's still super stable and feels great in the hand. These signature Calvin's are the perfect approach disc.

In general Toro's drop out of the sky. Very low glide. Low skip. Low left <> right movement. This is different than a Zone (more glide, more skip, more movement left <> right). This is why I prefer the Toro is because I don't have to worry about skip like I did with my Z Zone. Yes I know there's ESP but Toro's have the stability of a Z Zone with the ground play of the ESP. Surprisingly even the Champion Toro's are skip resistant. This was my biggest factor for switching over (plus Innova plastic feels better for me)

The Toro shines with some arm speed (I have about 450 ft of power). I can push these backhand 300 ish on a rope and when it slows down it will drop out of the sky with a little left movement. These do not fly as far as a Zone or move as much left to right. For me I'll use another OS disc if I want distance or left to right movement (Envy, Mid, OS 9 speed). For slower arm speeds -  a Zone may be preferable because of the glide. For my game, the Toro's low glide saves strokes.
