The orc is a very interesting disc. It's not going to go far, BUT It's more controllable than distance drivers and more high speed stable then control drivers. Trustworthy on windy days. My star is 168 grams, well seasoned and flies pretty true to the numbers, my max weight champion is super seasoned 10+ years and still doesn't have any turn. That said there's times especially windy days where it's a work horse then there's rounds where I don't use it at all.

A lot of beginners see the pros throwing Destroyers and think that's where they should start.  Then some disc golfers will say "Bro, the Destroyers are too much for beginners, throw a Wraith!"  But if you're throwing Innova, starting off, and determined to have a distance driver with a double-digit speed rating, the Orc is perhaps the best disc for you.

Similar to the Destroyer and the Wraith, the Turn/Fade ratings are -1/3 -  This results in a slightly overstable flight that gives a consistent finish of fade at the end.  Yet with a glide rating of 4, this disc handles wind conditions a bit better than either of the previous aforementioned discs as well.  The 10 speed might be a bit much for someone with a slower arm speed, but someone starting off who has some strength will be able to take advantage of the disc out of the box, especially if they're trying to adapt for forehand.

Will a player eventually graduate to the Wraith and Destroyer after the fact?  Perhaps.  That said, I gifted a friend a Star Orc and it really helped their game out.  This disc is great for beginners or those who know better but prefer finesse over power.

This is such an underrated disc. I've got a few champion orcs that are pretty over stable. I got a star one in hopes it could compliment the champions ones and it couldn't have done that any better. Out of the box it was already a little straighter and after using it for a bit, it is a hyzer flip to straight machine for about 380-400 feet. Great disc

I stocked up on PFN Star Orcs when I found them. One of my favorite drivers for backhand shots. Pretty overstable, but when beat up I can get nice flip and straight carry out of them.

167g PFN Star Orc. This is one of the most underrated discs ever made. This is a slower Destroyer which actually makes it more workable. I use it as a control driver rather than max distance. I throw it RHFH in tunnels for long straight flights with reliable fade finish. When I throw it RHBH I like to throw flex lines- put a little turn on it and let it glide back slowly to the left. It can handle moderate headwind. This might be too much for beginners but definitely makes for a good first distance driver when the time is right.

This disc took me awhile to get used to but now that I have a handle on it I really enjoy it. At first I was really surprised by how overstable it was based on the numbers Innova gives it. I think may be in different blends it probably responds more like you would expect. In Star, it comes out the box pretty overstable at least for me. I found that I could get it fairly accurate and straight off the tee and then it would dump out quickly and fade hard. Now thats its more worn in, the Orc has a slight turn with still a decent amount of fade at the end and a nice flare skip. I prefer to sidearm the Orc and usually throw it when I want a quicker fade or a slight flex shot that I can't as easily get from a Firebird.

I have 2 Orcs both at 175g in Star and Gstar plastic. I learned how to throw with a Gstar Orc when just starting out and it really helped my improve my control and distance.

I love the Star plastic for controlled backhands out to 350'. It has great turn when thrown flat and can fly long and straight with a hyzer flip.

My Gstar Orc I use almost exclusively for forehands, I can get a reliable flex for tricky woods lines and open air distance alike. I can always trust it will finish even when thrown hard and flat.

I much prefer the Gstar plastic feel in my hand, but overall both are comfortable to throw backhand and forehand. As I progress they may become more of a niche disc, but for now they are solid staples in my bag and game.

My go-to stable woods driver.  I keep both a star and a champion orc in my bag.  My star orc is less stable, has a good amount of turn, and is great for back hand and side arm flex shots as well as strong hyzer shots.  Thrown flat, the star plastic reliable turns and fades strong, or thrown with a little bit of hyzer, it'll flip up once beat in a little bit.

    Star Orc-

This disc perplexes me. I never really got a grip on how to throw it. It seems more of a control driver than distance driver, and yet between my Thunderbird, Getaway, PD, or Wraith I pretty much had a better disc for every shot that I though the Orc was for. Distance? Wraith. Overstable low glide? PD. Flip or turnover? Getaway.

For some, it's great. For me, I found I never had a use for it.

This disc will always be in my bag because it is perfect for mid/long range throws that need a lot of fade or that can fight the wind. I do use it for backhands, but I primarily use it for forehands and couldn't recommend a better disc in Innova's arsenal. This disc will have minimal turn, unless you force it to, which lets you make some fun shaped shots, but usually it is just nice to have a disc that will always flip up to flat and hyzer out.

I tried the Orc long ago and gave it back because the disc just wanted to roll.  I recently found one in Star plastic and cannot believe how far it glides at the end of the its turn.  It has become my go-to for long straight drives.  It is easy to control in Star plastic so I would recommend it to beginners who have a basic understanding of release angles.  A slight anhyzer provides the long flex shot while a hyzer release thrown with power will cause the disc to flatten out and fly forever.

The Orc has to be one of the most overrated Innova discs. I tried it becasue Nate Sexton loves it, and he is right! If you are playing a tight course where a fairway driver won't go far enough but that speed 13 in your bag is not accurate enough, you should check out the Orc. My first round with the disc I almost aced. It's a super solid disc.

Flies per the specs. It has taken me too long to find this disc and it was my own fault. I made the rookie mistake of starting out with Destroyers and Bosses and stuff like that. If you are new to the game and you see yourself playing long term and if you especially want to lower your score and improve sooner vs later. Than.....start with a Leopard or a River or something from this site that people are saying is beginner friendly and work your way up. A Destiny is my flippy max distance/roller disc and a beat in star destroyer is my main control distance driver  (on good days I can throw 400'). That and practice throwing putters, trust me it will help so much.

Anyway, back to this disc.....i get the same flight at a destroyer just less the distance and for someone like me that likes throwing everything max speed it really fills a nice spot between my MF Thunderbird and my Destroyer.

This is one of the most overlooked discs in the Innova lineup that most people should be throwing instead of Destroyers. After 4 years of playing, this matchs my armspeed perfectly and flies exactly to the numbers. I carry 1 G-Star for flippy, 1 lightweight Champion for max distance and 3 star for more straight to overstable.

The Orc is an excellent, controllable driver. I have thrown it in Champ and Star and I am not sure why I took the Orc out of my bag a few years ago. I put it back in and have been loving it for long turning drives that flex out at the end.

Feel: The Orc feels deep in the hand, which I prefer, It allows me to get a better grip. The rim width is also comfortable.

Speed: The Orc is a 10 speed driver. It allows me to power down for control but still get the desired distance.

The Orc is an excellent disc that can be carried in different weights for different results. A 175g Orc can be ripped and it'll fly straight with LS fade. A lighter Orc will get more turn and fade latter in flight.

The Star and Champion Orc are some of my favorite drivers to use. they are stable and can handle massive amounts of power. Great for both forehand and backhand. Can really help anyone gain extra distance when new to the game and moving up from fairway drivers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was my first "distance" driver I ever threw. This disc has a very slight turn, then a forward fade. This disc is not too overstable, or too glidey. It is a great disc for straight, accurate shots. I use it forehand and backhand, and it makes it easy to stay inbounds. For me now, this is much more of a fairway control driver that does exactly what I want it to do. I have since replaced it with two discs I like much better, the DD Getaway and DD Convict, but this is still a great disc that will always have a special place in my heart.

The Orc is a great disc for those distances between your fairway and distance drivers. I would say its flight is similar to a baby Destroyer, it has a hint of turn and some nice forward fade. Another reason I really like this disc is for forehands. I'm not much of a sidearm thrower, but I can do it with this disc. The rim just feels really comfortable for forehands. This disc comes in  variety of plastics and some will be less stable to start with. Great disc!

Great disc for anyone who wants that reliable slight turn with a good fade flight but can't quite get the speed for a destroyer or wraith. When I first really started improving my backhand this was the disc I picked up honestly a great starting point because the speed is great for those people who throw in the 300 to 350ft range you'll get that destroyer flight without having to absolutely crank on it every single throw then when you start to develop your arm speed a little bit more you can move up to a wraith or destroyer.

I was late to the game with this disc. It took me years to find a disc I could consistently throw forehand in tunnels... this is it. Orcs don't require much power to get decent distances. I throw mine rhfh on a low hyzer release and it takes off like a laser. These are decent beginner discs and so easy to learn.

My Star Orc is 171g, very domey, and brand new it flew like the numbers would suggest. It has a good deal of glide that makes for easy distance. When new this disc had an impressive low speed fade, and was great for shots that needed to fly straight for about 300 feet and then get hard left (RHBH). The big fade also made the disc useful for long flex shots. As it has beat in, the fade has become much more mellow, and it has a more pronounced low speed turn.

The one drawback to this disc is its performance in the wind. I thought it would have enough stability to throw into a moderate headwind, but it is flipped up rather easily. Once it beat in, I replaced the stable high speed position in my bag with a 171g Star Wraith. I like the Wraith better in the wind (and given its improved glide, I like the Wraith better all around).

This disc seems to be my sweet spot so I bag four in different weights. A pair of 172g for low wind conditions and max distance, a 170g for tail winds and those long flex shots, and a 175g meathook for head winds and hyzers.

IMO this is the best all round driver for the average player.

One of my all time favorite discs.  I have a couple of Star Orc in each of my bag.  I like the way it flies.  When thrown flat and hard.  I can watch it sail in the air like its on rails.  Nice little turn half way down and just like on cue.  It starts its decent, banking left.  Depending on the height it will either skip or brake hard at impact.  I have a one Star Orc 168 g that lost its spirit to hold its line. Just a little understable.  However, it still has a place in the bag.  Throw this baby on an anny line, she will hold that and come out of it with some added distance.  Excellent for getting around the dog leg corner.

I absolutely love this disc, and it has become one of my go to drivers.  My Orc is a star 170 pop top. The added dome adds a considerable amount of glide, and i can easily put the orc over 400 feet.  I can release it flat and it will turn considerable, but always come back, or i can release it on a slight hyzer and it will fly dead strait with a slight fade at the end.  This is a good disc for intermediate players, and a good head wind driver for beginners.

Currently, the Orc seems to be my sweet spot. I can throw this disc hard on a hyzer and watch it flip up without turning and burning. Infinite discs decided to send me yet another manufacturer defected disc with extreme flashing on the lip of the rim. Some sanding took care of it but I will never order another disc from this site again.

The Orc has intrigued me for months, but only recently as I put together a serious windy weather bag did I actually make the move to get one.  My PFN Star Orc is 162g.  I have not yet had a chance to throw it in windy conditions for which I bought it, but it did well lin calm conditions for me.  It has good distance, decent glide (especailly for the glide number ascribed to it), and it does fade with some skip at the end.  I look forward to throwing this into headwinds and seeing how it performs, and I'll work with it a lot more in all conditions.

Found one of these in the star plastic at 168 and it is awesome. I can throw faster disc and they will  go further but none of them are as reliable as the Orc. I mainly use this as my flick disc, and with 65% power I can make the Orc go roughly 300' where I want it to go. I am thinking about buying another one so I can have two in my bag. Great disc!
