I picked up an assortment of new drivers to try out to find the best replacement for two Waves (one lost; one now overly beat-in), and the Star Mystere has proved to be the best of the bunch for me: I consistently get better distance with it than the others (which range from speeds 9 to 13). It has a good feel and clean release. It has been a tad more understable than the Waves (when new), but that makes for good flex shots as it still fights back for a regular fade. With a slight tailwind, this just soared long and straight for me. The key for me with the Mystere is getting that max distance on open tee & fairway shots.

A perfect high speed driver (at lighter weights) for beginners and slower arm speeds.

I don't know what it is about this disc but I was able to throw it far and accurately right out of the gate. It did turn and then it faded back. You can put as much as you want into this disc and it will not let you down. I mainly use it for wide open shots and long bombs. Love it.

I love this disc. I bought it in the star plastic and holy cow can this thing go! Ever since I bought it I have bagged this wonderful mold. I use it mainly for flex shots and flip up hyzer and it performs beautifully. It is a flippy disc and can be turned over very easily, but if you give it the right angle this thing can whatever you want it to do.

This is a great distance driver for someone who is starting to throw distance drivers and for more experienced players as well. It's my favorite distance driver right now. I find it easy to consistently flip it to flat from about 20 to 30 degrees of hyzer. I mainly use this disc for hyzer flips, but it can be shaped on many lines from flex lines to hyzer shots. Currently, I have the mystere in star plastic.

Overall, I think this discs is a very versatile distance driver that can be used by a wide range of skill levels.

This is a great driver.  I was my go-to driver for a long time. Recently, however, it has become to under-stable and inconsistent for me. Some of that is caused by an increase in throwing power and hitting too many trees.  This disc in the star plastic has great glide, throw it flat with power (when it's new, that is) and the natural flight path will give you max flight.  I have not replaced this disk yet but it is close to the top of that list. Overall its a really good disk.

I was torn between buying this or an Archon (either in star plastic) at the time, and I picked this one first because it claimed to have more glide. After some fine tuning with it, I never even bothered to buy the latter, because the Mystere does the job WELL. If you put everything you have into the shot, it will cover some HUGE ground, but you'll need some space for the really good s-curve. Even without full power you can really manipulate some shot shapes with this thing. It's helped plenty in snaking around wooded holes. It really responds well with whatever release angle it's on.

In short, this is the distance driver I could use in just about any scenario, and will likely be buying the other plastics to see how they fare.

The Star Mystere from Innova is a great distance driver that is very versatile. I mostly got this because I wanted a really glidey and stable to understable disc for tailwind shots and downhill shots. At first it did more of a hyzer for me, when I got more used to it it did more of an S curve, but now it doesn't work too well for me for whatever reason. I always seem to release it at the wrong time or angle and it seems to pop up, wobble, and either turn way too much or not turn at all. I hope it's just because I haven't thrown this thing a ton in the last couple weeks and not a problem with the disc. Maybe I need to get out and practice throwing this particular disc more.

This disc just eliminated a lot of approach distance for me !! Right out the box you need to put that lil extra, I only really throw forehand, but extra snap and its gone into glide mode after about a hundred feet, and keeps going with a delicate fade at the end !!!!                     But, slower arms and release, It will be overstable !! Not recommended for Strong headwind's also ! Even when I pull my drive, it still ends up basket high with an easy birdie putt ! I love my Mystere !

After 8 months of experimentation with just about every Innova disc, I have finally found my go to driver. I throw RHFH and this disc is the most consistent disc I have tried to date.

I don't know why I get such good results with the Mystere but I do. With other discs, I often have no idea what is going to happen. I may throw a beautiful straight shot and then launch a mortar, hit a nice S curve then turn and burn with the follow up. However, with the Mystere, I an having outstanding results. My shots are going straight, level and consistently further than with anything else.

I wish I had more to offer as far as why I am having such good results with this disc but I don't. I just know it is fantastic for me and though I can't explain why, I don't dare question it.

The Mystere is a very glidey, somewhat flippy speed 11 driver. I guess the best way I'd describe the flight is that of a Tern, but one speed slower. The Mystere has exceptional glide, and the 6 rating here is legit.

Even though its a speed 11, the Mystere will easily hang with faster drivers for sheer distance. This isn't a very power-hungry mold, and even intermediate throwers will be able to get it up to speed. Thrown properly the Mystere will fly on a sweeping S curve and fade gradually at the end of flight. The Mystere will go 450' on big rips, but you'll need a lot of hyzer on your release to get it.

The Mystere can be finicky. If you rip it too hard the disc will turn and burn. I felt like it was a bit touchier than a Tern, more prone to random flips. This is absolutely NOT a headwind disc. The Mystere seems to do best in calm or downwind conditions. Even then you may need to release it hyzer to keep it from turning over entirely.

This is a good mold for someone looking to move into faster drivers. The Mystere is easy to throw far and can turn 350' power into 380'. Its among the glidiest drivers on the market and works great for long, open holes where accuracy is not of the utmost concern.

Discs I'd most compare this to are the Tern, Mamba, and Shryke.

I really like this disc I have it in star and throw it forehand, when I put a bit of hyzer on it I get a nice flip to flat with a bit of anhyzer depending on the hyzer release, thrown flat I get a really nice big turn over to flat to a bit of hyzer finish if thrown at the right hight. I've thrown it a couple times backhand to see what it does and if given plenty of hight will give me a really nice Big anhyzer, but if thrown low will turn to a roller. I would say though the numbers on this thing is very accurate its my longest driving disc I would recommend this disc in star to anyone who wants something like the valkyrie but longer with more glide.

The Mystere is another distance driver from Innova. This thing was pretty flippy for me. I had a hard time finding consistency when throwing it. If I put too much power on it, it would flip too fast, and not enough power would leave me missing my line. It was probably a me problem, but the disc really didn't click with me.

This disc took some getting use to. At first it was a nice glidey distance driver, but after time and getting my form and speed better, this driver is crazy flippy.  If I put a lot power on this disc, it will turn into a roller really fast.  I mainly use about 50% power on this disc to keep it straight on tunnel shots.  I'm sure more experienced players wouldn't have any need for this disc, but beginners would definitely benefit.

When the CFR discs came out in Shimmer Star, I tried one but I did not like it at all.  When the production Star Mysteres came out, I gave the mold another shot, and I'm glad I did.  My Star Mystere is 167g, the lightest available.

The Star Mystere gets good distance, has good glide.  The Star plastic is 'just right', not too hard, not too gummy, and feels good in my paws.  I've been wanting to disc down from the Tern, and the Star Mystere may allow me to do that.  Looking forward to trying one in the low-160s class.
