This thing will do anything you tell it to. If you want to crank over a giant anhyzer it will hold that line. If you want to throw a flat line with a little natural turn to get through tight gaps, it has your back. If you need to throw a fatty distance hyzer bomb but don't have that 450 power, this thing had a great forward hyzer push and loft for days. If you are one of those cool cats that can throw down hyzer flips, look no further. The only issue I have with this disc on windy days, is that that 6 glide and tends to keep it in the air longer than you need sometimes and your angles control will get thrown out of whack, but thats simply a matter of knowing the limitations of this disc and switching discs accordingly.

I live in Colorado and when I play mountains courses (7,300 + elevation) this things flies like a perfectly beat in wraith. Love the mystere!

My furthest flying disc.  I see a few people mentioning inconsistancy and I find the opposite.  Most high speed understable discs tend to fly less consistant, not because of the disc but because of the thrower.  Its hard to throw a disc exactly the same every time and the flippier a disc is the more it will show off any difference in your throw.  That being said, I found this to be the most consistant fast/flippy disc I've ever thrown.  Always flips and then comes back when I throw it flat.  I get this to about 425' on a nice hyzer flip golf shot.

One of Innova's most underrated drivers. When thrown correctly it has a lot of turn, but it still has a surprising amount of fade at the end, perfect for those huge S-lines. It flies just like a Shryke for me, just a tad bit slower but more controlled.

This is a great driver to grow into.  When you build up some arm speed, it will have some turn, and can be great for hyzer flips, and eventually big turnovers and rollers.

This disc can get some sneaky big distance!  The lines I can get with the Mystere are pretty similar to a Sidewinder with more distance.  This thing is a hyzer flip machine and is capable of carving some clean lines on wooded courses.  It can also hold some decent anhyzer lines without cutting into a roller and has enough stability to maintain control in mild winds.  The Mystere may be one of the most underrated discs in the Innova line up.  The only reason I give this four stars is because they are hard to find; therefore, I struggle to rely on a disc I can't easily replace.

I picked up a 166g Star Mystere to add an understable distance driver after having some success hitting 350-360 Hyzerflips with Gstar Wraiths and a proton Insanity.

This is a nice disc overall. I only had one issue keeping it from being a 5-star disc. Compared to other discs with the -2/2 turn/fade range (Valk, Beast, Insanity) or the Wraith in the 11 speed slot, I had some trouble gripping the Mystere with my usual fork or power grip. As a result I had some difficulty getting clean releases with this disc, so it was tricky to get it to glide right. When it did, I could get a nice hyzerflip out of it but with some trouble controlling the angles and lines.

Of course, this minor complaint is likely the archer and not the arrow, so I do recommend it as you disc up for distance or uphill shots if you like the handfeel. I'll give this one an update once I get a little time in the field with it. Give it a shot if you want to try for some sneaky distance!

Good disc if you can control your power and angle release. Needs a little room

    Star X-out 172g

    Champion 173g

I was new to distance drivers in 2019.  Never threw them when I began playing (because they did not exist).  Everyone has one which clicks with them first.  The (first Star, then Champ) Mystere was mine.  If you have intermediate arm speed, it might click for you too.  OTOH, if you rip the disc 400'+, this might be a roller disc.  If you max out at 250', of course, it might seem overstable.  The Mystere allowed me to get full flights and to begin to gain confidence with DDs.  It's not one of the discs which gets hype.  But it's worth giving it a shot.  At my arm speed, it's right on the flight numbers.  Both the Star and Champ will flip up a bit and push on a slight hyzer, or hold a turn for a while on flat to anhyzer before fading out.

I say somewhat beginner friendly because a true beginner should hold off a while on using distance drivers.  But if you're ready to try them, the Mystere might be a good choice.

I got this to try after I started turning over my beast. It is very touchy on release angle. I kept throwing it either directly into the ground or straight into the air. Now that I've learned how to throw it, it holds my longest drive recorded so far.

Chamption Mystere (175g) - I like the Mystere mold, but I didn't like it as much in Champ plastic. I found it to be too stiff to throw backhand and achieve the same flex. The glide is also a little diminished over the Star plastic. I definitely recommend trying one, but I would suggest Star plastic for the reasons I mentioned above and because it is sort of a domey disc and the Champ plastic doesn't yield as much to your grip as the Star does.

Star Mystere (175g) - This disc comes in and out of my bag, but it is definitely worth trying. I found it when I was looking for a slower version of the Daedalus. I found this disc to be capable of flexing with intermediate power and adding a lot of distance to my drives. Its is pretty consistent and fairly easy to throw even with the noticeably rounded top. It is definitely worth a try if you have speed 9-ish power and want to add a little distance potentially.

The Mystere is one of the most underappreciated discs in the Innova line-up. As many other reviews mention, it is quite flippy. This already makes it a great driver for beginners and those with slower arm speeds. For more advanced players and those with faster arms, the Mystere is a magical roller disc! I can throw it on a flat line with a lot of speed and it will land on a perfect roller angle. The slight fade on the disc causes rollers to fight the full turn-over and carry straight for ages. I have thrown multiple 500+ foot rollers with this disc!
