I use this disc for flicking up shot I could never really backhand it but I also didn't like the big bead but you can count on this to fade hard and stick when it hits the ground

A classic overstable midrange that everyone needs in their bag. Dependable in the the highest winds. Great for hyzers, flex shots and skippers. Compliments Rocs well. Good for forehands as well if you get a flat one and don't mind a bead.

The Gator is a very useful overstable mid. Out of the box, it flies like any of the classic OS approach discs (A2, Zone, Harp, etc) but with a bit more distance potential and less comfortable at short range. As it beats in it will become less hopelessly beefy and fly more flat with slight fade at the end, and might be susceptible to some turn into a tough headwind. I loved my Gator as a go-to approach disc that would dump right on a forehand no matter what, but as it ages I really only use it for 200-250' approaches where I want a mostly straight forehand. It can also work for thumbers, and for tight spots where you need a sharp forehand anny that will level out.

Disc - 2 Metal Flake Champion Gators

Feel - The gator has a very blocky feel in the hand and has a large bead. The feel is definitely very important to whether or not people throw this disc as it has a great flight.

Flight - If you are looking for a very overstable gator, then you need to try to ensure that you get a flat one if possible. I have two, one board flat and one fairly domey, and they fly very differently. The flat ones are significantly more overstable and in my opinion feel much better for forehands and the domey ones fly a bit more but are still overstable. In my opinion the domey ones fly like very overstable star or champion rocs and the flat ones are much more overstable.

Overall - Great disc, can be hard to find flat ones, might recommend justice as a replacement that is always flat but it is a bit more overstable.

This disc is definitely a situational disc. With little glide, and heavy fade, the Gator is most useful for a sharp left fade when thrown RHBH. When I throw it forehand, the Gator has a nice flex with a reliable hard fade back. For these types of forehand flex shots, though, I prefer my ESP Drone, but they are very similar.

The Gator is a great overstable mid. Perfect approach disc for many situations, always fades reliably and after you work it in you van get it to do some pretty amazing things. This disc hits and sits and it great for FH or BH approach shots, never goes past the basket just flick it and let it fade into it's target. This disc is my only "approach" style disc and the second mid range mold to make it in my bag. This disc, as you could have guessed great in headwinds also.

I got the champion x-out and it was a bit domey. It is great and overstable still, and I was able to park an upshot over and down a hill right next to the basket on a slope. It sits down very nicely!

This disc is not for long shots, as it has very little glide and wants to sit down very quickly.  That being said, I love using this disc as an approach mid, and I can always count on it to fade a little to the left at the end and sit down.  If you throw it with some power, then you can get some nice skips (if you want that).  It takes some getting use to, but it is one of only 5 molds I carry in my bag.  Great disc for those who like to utilize the OS low glide discs like the Firebird.
