    Disc: Innova Star Archon, 172g

Feel: This disc took me a bit of getting used to. I didn’t love the feel of it at first, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. The plastic is nice and durable, and the rim is pretty comfortable. I really like Star plastic, so no negative critiques on the feel of the plastic. Star is durable, grippy, a perfect level of hardness, and beats in nicely!

Flight: This is the most forgiving distance driver ever. I have never had a disc that can get a mediocre result out of an early release, a good result out of a late release, and a perfect result out of a good release. It flies beautifully straight, with a soft fade at the end. I’ve found myself using this for uphill shots a lot, or shots where I want to throw something high. I feel a tad more comfortable with my Star Destroyer for high shots (I really need to stop referring to the Star Destroyer in every single review I’ve posted), but this is a close second. The consistent, soft fade allows me to throw this disc way up into the sky and still have an idea of where it is going to land. I’ve thrown this disc low a few times, and it handles that pretty well. In fact, I absolutely blew a release the other day, and this disc hit the ground in the middle of the fairway about 50 feet out. Then something miraculous happened. It flew 300 more feet at a constant elevation of 6 inches and was parked underneath the basket. Best skip of all time. This disc has a pretty sick glide, I’d honestly say it glides more like a 6 than a 5.

Overall: This is a great disc for intermediate players. I can't really speak to how good it is for pros, because I'm not a pro. And perhaps for people out there with cannons for forehands, this wouldn’t be the greatest forehand disc. But for your average-good disc golfer, this is a wonderful disc. Beginners obviously shouldn’t be throwing this until they’ve learned good technique, but that’s not the disc’s fault, that’s because no beginner should throw distance drivers. I'm very pleased with my Archon, I'd highly recommend it!
