I have had this disc in my bag for awhile and just can't find a place for it. The plastic and disc itself is pretty nice. The feel in the hand is fine too.. However I just cant get the flight out of it that I want. I have been hoping after I work with it a little that the flight would improve for me but it just hasn't. There's a lot of other drivers I would reach for before this one, unless of course I was looking to grab a disc I don't really mind losing. Speaking only from the own I own I have yet to see -2 turn. 2 fade seems right but with much less turn, making it more stable than the number indicate. I have a similar weight Mamba that I can get to fly straight as an arrow but this disc is just a little too beefy for me to really make work.

This is a great disc for progressing to higher speed discs. Once you can throw a Valkyrie and then the Beast, this disc feels very similar and will help you gain more distance. I have a very beat Champion that I picked up used. It took me a few rounds and practice before I was able to use it with more consistency. This is my go to disc for long distance shots when I'm feeling a little sluggish or during a second round when my arm speed is not as fast or on those days when I'm struggling with throwing a little nose up. Its pretty forgiving and I can push it a little further when I'm tombstoning my higher speed discs. Again, its a great disc when moving up to the higher speed discs and those still learning to shape shots may find this disc easier to throw straight than the Wraith with the additional turn and less fade.

My backhand is not as strong as my forehand and therefore my bag has discs of every speed in it. And speed 11 is the max for most discs for me to throw backhand and get the optimum flight from the disc. The archon is perfect for that speed 11 neutral flight path disc that can be shaped on medium throws or ripped for my max backhand distance. Now at first I wasn't really up to speed to throw this without it fading early but once I started playing enough this became one of my go to backhand discs for narrow left ending holes or even wide open long shots. The glide is nice and keeps the disc airborne even on low ceiling throws but it shines most when it can be ripped at normal height with a long S curve that will finish slightly left. Honestly a favorite disc for me for a long time and is my most used backhand disc at each course I play.

I am fairly new to disc golf, only been playing for a couple months. I have this disc in champion plastic around 165g. Being the speed that it is, I don't really try to backhand this thing quite yet. My arm speed is not fast enough to get the disc to do what it should. Though, my main use for this disc is forehands. I find it an incredible forehand disc that, if thrown fast enough, will turn over to flat, glide quite a ways, and fade back at the end. I can get it to go further than any other disc I use.

I recommend this disc for players' 2nd or 3rd driver to improve their forehand. I first got decent with a lower speed disc, for me that was the thunderbird and valkyrie, then moved up to this. I love how consistent this disc is. I can get it to turn and fly how I want it to, it just takes time to learn.

Although I can't backhand this disc yet, I think it would be a decent disc for those that can throw this speed. The turn and glide has been just great for distance and accuracy and I think it would translate to backhand as well.

The Archon is a fantastic primary driver that provides a long and tight "S" curve flight path. I transitioned from the Beast to the Archon after throwing it and realizing that while the flight path is VERY similar, the Archon provides slightly more distance and performs slightly better against a headwind. The Archon is not nearly as popular as the Beast but is as good if not a better driver in my opinion. I highly encourage anyone who uses a Beast as their primary driver to try out the Archon.

I had this disc years ago so I am going by memory but I remember not liking it very much. It had lower glide then other discs in this class and seemed more sensitive to nose angles then others too.

I don't think it's a bad disc, I just prefer others in this class.

VERY underrated. My buddy gave me a 169 champion archon and I thought it would be the flippiest driver in my bag. It was definitely flippy, but not as flippy as I thought it would be. Soon became my absolute max distance driver and this this BOMBS. Can get much easier distance with this compared to a valkyrie.

This is my absolute go-to distance driver for straight fairways. I inherited a used Champion Archon, well seasoned, when I first started and loved how straight it would fly on my typically hyzer to flat release (RHBH). As my game has developed, this has been my most consistently bagged driver because it is just stable enough for me to throw on a hyzer in a headwind for it to fly straight and finish forward and a little left. Meanwhile it is just understable enough in a tail wind or low wind situation to get a full flex s-curve for maximum distance and a reliable finish. It's also my go-to sidearm disc with its nice low profile and the same reliable flight, except reverse flex, that I expect from my backhand throw.

TL;DR: Reliable max distance s-curve. Forgiving for both backhand and sidearm.

Essentially a faster Beast.  I really like this disc and haven't taken it out of my bag yet. It seems sensitive to a headwind however it thrives in a tailwind.

I picked up one of these in Champion plastic. In my opinion, it's probably a bit faster than it's rated. It would likely take a big arm to get max potential out of it, although I do get more distance with it (rhbh). For me, it does an awesome "s" when thrown with a lot of anhyzer, almost a flex shot. Thrown flat, it has a very dependable fade after a straight flight. It's very good in the wind (175g). It is very dependable no matter how I throw it. It will be a solid staple in my bag.

Picked up a 170g Champ Archon to give a try. I was hoping to find a good distance driver for turnover shots. This disc was good for turnovers, but any amount of wind seemed to make this disc really not very usable. I think this would not be a great discs for beginners because it still requires some power to get it up to speed, but those with some power might find some use out of it.

My friend gave me an F2 Champion Archon (171g) he didn't like.  I imagined it would be too flippy for my rhbh throwing speed, but fortunately I was wrong.  This thing bombs and immediately replaced a max weight GStar Krait as my long, straight, distance driver.  The Archon gave me about 25-30 feet more distance head to head.  It has more turn but the fade is more than aggressive enough to bring it back to center.  It even holds up reasonably well hyzer-flipped into a moderate headwind.  A solid, moderate speed, stabel distance driver.

The first disc I ever had so I may be a little biased towards it. When I first started off it was a little too much for me but as my arm speed increased I could put this thing on a slight hyzer and it would soar. I had probably my farthest throw ever with this disc, topping out at a little under 500. If you have an intermediate arm speed and are looking for a disc that will get you insane distance. Look no further. If released correctly, the archon will go for days. The glide is very nice, and the fade is not too over pronounced. If you have a bigger arm this may not be the right disc for you, as I have had recent problems turning it over too much. It may make a nice cut roller or distance roller if you have a little finesse. All around a nice disc. Does not fare well in the wind.

I love the Archon. The Wraith had too much fade for my liking, so I picked up the Archon for a little more turn and less fade and it has worked very well for me. My favorite throw with this disc is a slight anhyzer forehand. It sails forever when I toss it right.

This disc, however, may lack versatility. I have had poor results when throwing it forehand and it does not do very well in the wind.

A longer Valkyrie or slightly less stable Wraith. Overall a solid disc that flies on the line you put it on. Great for straight shots. It can struggle in the wind though.

The first high speed distance driver I got to truly work for me. I throw LHBH and like many begginer disc golf drivers I immediately thought I could throw a highspeed driver and make it go very far. So initially this disc was terrible for me, but as my arm speed increased this disc became more and more feasible for me to throw. Its neutral -2, 2 fade/turn rating makes it a great first high speed driver to work with, but now as a more experienced player this neutral feel to the disc limits the throws I can make with it. The fade is too much so I can't put it on a long steady anhy line, but it also doesn't like the have a long predictable fade to it. Now I would say this disc is a straight flying unimaginative disc, but for a increasing skill level begginer a straight flying unimaginative disc is sometimes what you need.

Picked up a beat in Archon at a local course.  Never threw it much as I enjoy more stable and overstable drivers.  Recently the Archon has been making its was into my usual throwers.  I figured this disc would overlap the beat in Star Wraith I bag, but it has become an absolute monster distance disc.  I throw this with the same hyzer flip I use on my Wraiths.  When beat in, the Archon can produce some massive hyzer flip s curves.  Flip it up, watch it turn over and always fade back at the end.  One of my favorite discs for pure distance at the moment, but it requires quite a bit of space to work.  Fun to throw disc that I would recommend for all skill levels

The Archon is a very controllable disc. If the Wraith proved to be too stable, the Archon is a great disc to try. I used one of these while I was playing in Emporia, Kansas. I could get controllable S-turns back then at a 928 rating with about 400 average distance. Before I started throwing Terns, the Archon was my turnover disc. It can be used as a pretty good roller as well for those with a lot of power.

The disc feels similar to a Teedevil or Vulcan, with a similar transition from the flight plate to the rim.

I give this a 3 star rating because of the consistency. My first Archon was more stable than I was hoping, and when I lost it my new Archon was more understable. It is still a great disc, and I would suggest this disc as an introduction to faster, more stable discs. If you like the beast and valkyrie, it falls in that same stability range. Try one today!

I am a RHFH thrower, or "flicker". I have a strong flick and can consistently hit 300' to 410' depending on the disc. I have hit just about 430' on several occasions. I would be considered an intermediate player overall. The Archon is by far my favorite driver. It's not my longest, but it is by far the most consistent. I can hit 340' to 380' depending on the need and conditions with my long being about 400' once or twice. I throw it straight with very little turn, then it fades a decent amount at the end of the flight. If I choose to shape the throw too much (Tilting the edge up to cause more turn) then I pay for it with a significant loss in range. I throw heavy (173-175) and prefer Champ to Star plastic marginally. It is decent in the wind, though I've had some problems with the fade if there is a right to left crosswind.
