The Warrior is the most overstable midrange in the Gateway line. This disc is slightly taller than the Karma, Mystic, and Element, and provides more end-of-flight, low-speed fade. The Warrior has a very wide 22cm diameter.

I have had the same Gateway Warrior for 4+ years of regular play, and I absolutely love this thing.

It should be noted, this is a fast midrange, and I've always felt it's speed of 5 was low. This disc kind of starts to blur the line between mid and fairway, in my eyes. Its wide fade contributes to that feeling; not only does it fade early, but when it does, it truly hooks. Very reliably overstable, but not so meaty you can't get it to fly, provided you have decent technique.

Always has felt fairly comfortable to hold - actually quite like the bead - but not a beginner's disc.

I took the Evo Warrior out with me on vacation in my "I don't care if I lose these discs" bag.

Its an interesting disc, in an interesting plastic. For an OS disc its incredibly domey, and the plastic is rather flexible. It feels like an oversized snapple lid. You know how you can just annoy everyone with clicking the lid of a snapple bottle? You can do that same sort of thing with an Evo Warrior. The plastic blend just feels incredibly flimsy and cheap on the plate. It's definitely the kind of plastic that can get impaled by a thorn. All that said, it actually released rather cleanly for me.

It flies consistently OS, and it executed the shots I asked it to. I didn't really see the -1 rating on it, but it was wet when I was using it so I wasn't able to really rip into it.

It serves it's purpose, but the quality of the plastic just concerns me in the long run. It certainly isn't going to take throws away from my Hornet, and I would reach for a roc3 or a bard before I went for a Warrior in my bag full time.

I won a 177 Evo Warrior in a tournament last spring. After throwing it for a few days I gave it away. I thought it was very similar to the Z Buzzz I already had in my bag, but in a worse quality of plastic. The didn't like the shallow rim either. It's not a bad disc, but there are a hand full of discs that I feel do a better job. I like gateway putters, but that is about it.

Great disc. I have it in evolution plastic. This disc is faster than most midranges and has more glide than most over stable discs. The inside of the rim seems more rounded than other discs which gives it a unique but super smooth release.

Over stable midrange discs should be a staple in any bag and this disc does exactly as advertised. It is a reliable overstable disc that will always finish predictably. One thing I like about the Warrior is that even with a little heat behind it it still flies predictably, not only that but I can get more distance from it than a buzzz even. Great disc to put in your bag.
