The Warrior is the most overstable midrange in the Gateway line. This disc is slightly taller than the Karma, Mystic, and Element, and provides more end-of-flight, low-speed fade. The Warrior has a very wide 22cm diameter.

Compared to a champion Roc3 and honeybee Ghost (old Roc mold), this has noticeably more glide and a bit less fade.

I used it for a narrow tunnel shot that required a hard fade only at the very end, which I wouldn't get thrown nose down, I'd have to put it ever so slightly nose up to get a big fade from it.  Otherwise it would cruise right past the target area, going markedly farther than a Roc or Roc3.

Warrior is a nice flick approach disc. In the sure grip plastic it will start out really overstable and fades back nicely. After a few tree hits it beats in to a laser straight forehand disc with late fade at the very end.

My approach game includes two gateway sure grips...The Devil Hawk as a short range backhand,  and the Warrior as short/intermediate flick and intermediate BH. These disc "self Shape'...predictable and low bounce in the Sure Grip versions.

The Warrior is a stable midrange from Gateway. This disc flew a lot like a new KC Roc. It has a nice straight flight with some strong fade at the end of the flight. I really didn't like the plastic on this. I really like Gateway's plastics on their putters, but for some reason the plastic didn't feel great on this midrange. If you just want to throw Gateway discs, this is a good one to check out, but for a Roc like flight, I'll just stick to Rocs.

This disc is a must have if you are in between midranges and want to try out something new. The flight pattern and feel of this disc is amazing. It's super straight with a dependable fade at the end. It also hands just about anything you give it. The amazing part is that it handles powered down shots just as well as full speed throws. This is really a hidden gem and I would highly suggest the Warrior!

This disc has been in my bag since I started playing. It is my go to for tough shots, as it does what I want every time. I have some trouble getting enough distance on it sometimes, but That's more me than the disc. Flies great forehand or overhand as well as backhand. It flies very straight, with just a bit of fade at the very end of the flight, giving it just enough flexibility to shape around corners. If I had to play en entire round with one disc, this might be the one.

First review! Just picked up a 176 Warrior in the Sure Grip plastic. When I got the disc, I was surprised how big the diameter was. This disc feels amazing with a forehand grip. After one round of throwing the Warrior, I'm in love with this disc. On a full throw, it can turn a little, but then fades hard at the end. The release is also really comfortable and the disc just explodes out of the hand. I can't wait to throw more sidearm and backhand shots with this disc. If you need a reliable mid-range, BUY A WARRIOR!!
