The Warlock is the beadless (no bump around the bottom rim) version of the popular Wizard putt and approach disc. This is a neutral-flying putter that is slightly more understable than the Wizard. The Warlock is both a great driving and putting putter available in a variety of popular Gateway plastic blends.

Gateway Sure Grip Soft is not very soft for putter standards. This is actually one of the harder sure grip blends.

If you like beadless Aviars, but are looking for some more/better plastic options, the Warlock is for you. This thing feels like a beadless Aviar in hand, but it does seem to be a tick more stable. It held up really well to power, and really works well on the lines you put it on. I really liked putting this disc as well, good straight flight and enough glide for my spin putt. This is the putter from Gateway if you don't like the bead of the Wizard.

As seems fairly typical of many other disc golfers, I had long been in search of the perfect putter. I've tried putting with Aviars of all varieties, Ridges, Ringers, Summits, Polecats, Magnets, and more in the search of my putting putter. I'd stood in my local store and felt up disc after disc, but never found one that seemed to fit magically in my hand until the Warlock.

I have short fingers, so deep putters, even as deep as the standard Aviars felt odd. The Warlock fits perfectly though. It's deep enough to get some glide, but shallow enough for me to feel like I have a solid hold on the disc.

Additionally, Gateway plastic is miraculous. There's a stiffness and grip for everyone. Since getting my first Soft Warlock as a player pack I have bought them in virtually every plastic available, and been happy with all of them. I putt with Softs, up shot with SSS, and drive with Evos.

This has been said of many other discs, but more than any I've tried, this disc is a Buzzz in putter form. Their flights have a similar level of stability, they're both beadless and feel similar in the hand, they're both available in a wide variety of plastic, but the Warlock is just a touch shorter.

I can't say enough about how happy I am to have serendipitously received that first Warlock.

Like the Wizard but hate its bead? Perfect, purchase a Warlock. I have this disc in soft and SSS. I haven't done much with it off the teebox, but it's my main putter. It's wonderfully OverStable. A must have for any player.

I have this disc in S plastic and I use it for downhill approach shots when I'm within 200 ft. I can rely on this disc to hold a slight understable line and has great glide to keep its distance.

MY 174 black ss warlock is an amazing disc, okay putter but is a very accurate approach disc , i'll never forget hitting a 65 ft (or more ) hyzer shot with it the first hole of our league. my home base is mchose park and has a lot of holes on the side of hills and the plastic is very grippy and generally stays where it lands. I have had other people agree with me on this. A wizard with no bead.

I would agree with most. Consistent straight flyer with nice feel. I don't use bead putters very much so that's why I decided to give the warlock a try. I also don't prefer chalky types of plastic but for some reason this one works. I switch between a few putters depending on the conditions but if I want a softer touch type feel then I grab this one. Overall definitely worth a try
