The Warlock is the beadless (no bump around the bottom rim) version of the popular Wizard putt and approach disc. This is a neutral-flying putter that is slightly more understable than the Wizard. The Warlock is both a great driving and putting putter available in a variety of popular Gateway plastic blends.

More Overstable than your average putter!

The warlock is a solid putter. This summer I thought it was going to be my putter of choice. However, I can't give it my full endorsement, mainly due to availability. Most retailers don't carry it, which makes finding them on short notice nearly impossible. The company itself has caused me problems in the past. For that reason, I can't trust it as my main putter.

Feel and Flight: The warlock is obviously beadless, its a relatively shallow putter and is extremely flat. The nose is a bit odd, there is an abrupt transition from the flat lower half of the rim to the curved top, this amounts to a somewhat sharp edge. If you lay your finger on the nose of the disc that might bother you. I think this disc is great for both forehand and backhand. The disc flies very overstable. I can flex this putter on a short upshot, that's not exactly common. On the bright side you can trust it to have consistent flight, on the downside I am way more likely to fade early.

The Plastic: I am a big fan of the suregrip plastic. The firm holds up ok over time. The main issues is that it looses it's stability quite quick. I played a solo putter round with this at a wooded course and after just one round I noticed a large increase in th amount of turn I got from it. Luckily it holds up very well to cuts and scrapes. If you like firm plastic to putt with, this is a solid choice.
