Looking for a fantastic midrange? The Gateway Element is your answer. This slightly understable disc will hold any line you give it. Throw it flat and watch it fly straight. Put a hard hyzer on it and watch it hyzer flip for a long time. Throw it with anhyzer and watch it maintain the turn throughout the flight. The Element is a great golf disc for beginners, especially in very light weights.

This looks good in the review but the last line of the disc information sections mentions very light weights.  Are you planning to carry lighter weights?

Fantastic disc is an apt description. The control shots that this disc is capable of are amazing. This disc and the Wizard are in my opinion the best discs Gateway makes.

This disc is the straightest flying disc I have ever thrown. It will hold any line I put it on. It you release it flat it will hold that line the whole way there and just settle. I see a lot of people comparing it to a Buzzz. I would not. My buzz, when released flat RHBH, turns to the right just a hair. Then fades left at the end. My 180g Element in the Evolution plastic will go straight. DEAD STRAIGHT! Need I say more?

What a disc! I have a 178g Element in Evo plastic and I absolutely love it. The shallow rim allows for players with smaller hands to get a firm grip and it's also quite forgiving. This is my go-to midrange on shots from the fairway, but it's also a valuable disc off the tee. With lower power the Element is dead straight for alleys, and the Evo plastic is VERY resistant to wear. The Evo plastic will also be less understable (more neutral) than the Grip plastic. Get yourself an Element if you're in need of a dependable mid-range.

I don't actually own an Element, just seen one thrown and threw it once myself. The evolution plastic feels really nice. Flight of the disc: anhyzer release makes it go right and keep going right, flat and easy release makes it go super straight all the way, and a hard hyzer release makes it flip up flat and glide.
