The Gateway Chief is a thin putt and approach disc with a very slim profile and a flat top. This is a beaded putter described as a "low profile Wizard with the same nose shape and bead." If you don't like bulky deep rimmed putt and approach discs, try the Chief.

Great putting putter. Low profile, comfortable feel.

Also a good turn over approach disc.

A great throwing putter. BH, FH, I really loved this thing but WOW did it beat in fast to too understable. Maybe I just hit the wrong tree and should give EVO a try, but it turned a little flippy too quick.

I putted it for a while to some success but found it fades too quick and hard to putt. I would even rather put with a zone because of the better putting fade.

As a thrower, this thing can handle some torque and really like to be flipped up to flat. You can easily push this 300 plus if you throw decent. I really liked this for learning to feel more confident in throwing putters with it's shallower feel. Feels great in hand!

I really like the way the Chief feels in my hand! And if it matters to you, it's in my opinion one of the more excellent looking stamps in the game.

Super flat, super shallow, nice and grippy. I liked throwing it too. I could rip on it and it would stay straight. Power it down a bit and it rides the line with a nice fade. I was enjoying it for approaches. It was wet on the course when I was throwing it and it was most definitely a "sure grip"

I would be hesitant to throw it in the woods, as the plastic while grippy looks like it would get mauled by the trees.

Either way, the OS putter slot has been elusive for me- and I think a Chief OS might be in the cards for me to try next!

I want to take a star off cause I wish this disc came in Evolution plastic, but I can't cause it's such a great disc.  I have so many near aces with this disc on the short holes at my local course Its only a matter of time.  It doesn't end with being a great 150-210ft lobber.  I use this thing for up shots forehand and back, rollers out of trouble, and pancake over hands.  It's a great get out of jail disc.  Just don't hit a tree at high power, sure grip does not hold up well in putters, it's meant to beat in easy and you can kiss that overstableness goodbye.

5 stars. Ah, The Chief.. The "been flying under the radar due to the success of the Wizard" version of the Wizard. This disc is unstoppable when it comes to upshots and short downhill tees. If I have a less than satisfactory drive, I can trust this guy to lay it up right next to the pin. If I'm about 100-150+ feet out, this guy will just go straight and sit so long as you keep it level and smooth. I have another putter for standard putts, but this could easily take on that duty also. Love to forehand upshot the Chief if the shot calls for it, due to the shallowness of the disc. Can also lay into a hyzer and have it flip, short sail, then sit with a tiny fade. In all, I use this disc a ton. It's a versatile and very reliable disc.

The Chief, and the recently retooled Chief OS, are two of my favorite new discs! The original Chief is a shallow, flat-topped beaded putter with a rounded nose that flies straight and flat. Back off the power and it fades out reliably. Put some stank on it and it just goes straight and sits. And its a nice putter. Thin and easy to release.

The Chief OS is also a shallow, flat-topped beaded putter, but the wing is retooled, the nose is flattened and replaned (?). This disc flies very much the same as the original, except for a significantly stronger fade at the end. Therefore the Chief OS, when thrown hard, will fly straight and long but still fade out. When dialed back, the fade returns in equal ratio. I'm not prone to using it as a putter.

i love this putter, i just picked it up on a whim at my personal favorit disc golf store "tiger discs in salem Oregon" the guy there said it was it was his go to putter and the disc was like camo green with there store logo stamp on it and it was bad ass looking but when i started throwing it i just fell i love its great for up shots, head wind, and drives. it holds an amazing hyzer, strait, and an anhyzer line, if you release it flat with a bit of snap it just dosen't stop and has NO fade, lazer beam. its super thin and flat which i like the bead on it kinda has a sharpness to it but its not bad. i cant really think of anything i dont like about this disc
