The Gateway Chief is a thin putt and approach disc with a very slim profile and a flat top. This is a beaded putter described as a "low profile Wizard with the same nose shape and bead." If you don't like bulky deep rimmed putt and approach discs, try the Chief.

I really love the feel of the Chief. My hands are not too big, and this disc fits them well. I also like how flat the top is; it has a great feel in the hands. I believe mine is a super soft and comes in at 175 grams. My issue with it though is I can't seem to figure out when or why I need it. The flight path I get from it is that it stays straight for about 80% of the flight, then quickly dumps to the left as it runs out of power. I just have not found this to be incredibly useful, and there are so many other discs that can handle my upshot needs. The XT Colt has filled that need perfectly. I tried putting with the Chief but did not love it, and ultimately went with a Warlock. If you want an approach disc that flies near dead straight with a slight turn at the end, this is your disc. Another issue I had with it was it had a bit more glide than I wanted it to.
