The Era is the first disc in Drew Gibson's Finish Line. This disc is designed to be the all-purpose control driver for players of all skill levels.

With a flat top and neutral flight path the Era works well for both backhand and forehand throws. It is understable enough to work for newer players, but has enough stability that it can handle the power of Drew Gibson. The Era has enough speed and glide to go as far as many distance drivers, but has minimal fade for the straight flight of a fairway.

Finish Line Discs are designed and manufactured in the USA.

The Era is a great beginner/advanced disc. Backhand or forehand you will find a use for this disc. Beginners will find this to fly straight with a nice finish. Advanced will find this disc to flip and hold but will always fight to stable out. Recommend this disc to anyone I bag a couple myself.

This is my go-to control-style driver. Feels like a slower-speed fairway disc but I can still get in 400+ with great shape. Can use it for hyzer flips and wood golf. Going on my second year bagging two forged and one composite plastics.

For a developing mid-power backhand, this disc is fantastic. Enough stability to avoid punishing slightly inconsistent form, but plenty of glide to make it a very satisfying first 10-speed disc.

Fantastic neutral 10-speed. Usable on forehand and backhand, and accurate to the flight numbers.

The Era is an ideal point-and-shoot fairway it has just enough turn to flip up to flat and then an ever-so-slight fade at the end of the flight to keep it from having it flip all the way over and have the slightest amount of finish at the end of the flight.

The Forged Era is the fast fairway driver that everyone can use. It is something like a faster FD and seasons in very nicely. For the speed of disc, they go very far when hit on the right angle.

The Composite Era is more stable than the numbers suggest. More of a stable thunderbird or pd sort of deal. These are great for headwind drives and when seasoned, they have a reliable flight but out of the box, are quite stable.

Overall, fantastic disc espeically in the forged plastic, try one out!

Beautiful flip up right out of the box with a ton of glide. This disc flies almost as far as my distance drivers, but due to comfortable rim of a 10-speed I'm able to throw it much more accurately with a slightly straighter finish to stay in fairways.

Highly recommended for all skill levels too!

Nice faster fairway driver. Comfortable feel. The forged plastic is gummy, but not too floppy. Throwing it backhand it was very workable for me and could fly quite far. Not max distance for me but definitely further than my go to 8 speed fairway driver, the tl3. For forehand throws I didn't have as much luck with it. I had a lot of releases into the ground when trying to throw lower ceiling shots, which I think is because this disc has a bit of turn when thrown with power. As a fairway driver I liked it but for distance I still prefer the dd1 currently

This disc perfect for 320-350 straight throws. The forged plastic does season fairly quickly but seems to stay once it gets to its sweet spot. Out the box they fly very close to the numbers but beat in closer to 10/5/-2/1.5. Love throwing this on longer hyzer tunnel shots. The Composite plastic is much beefier and has 0 turn out of the box.

This disc may be a little fast for some beginners, but I think it's a nice step to take after learning slower mids and fairways. I rarely feel the need to step up to a distance driver having this disc because it bites off similar distance while being far more controllable. The Forged plastic flips up straight out of the box and will continue to beat in more as you throw it. I recommend grabbing one in Forged and Composite as they compliment each other nicely. I could see someone cycling a stack of these in varying plastics/stabilities as their only fairway driver. It's that good.

This disc is awesome. It flies super far with a reliable turn. it is understable enough for beginners to throw, and stable enough for advanced players to throw dead straight hyzer flips with. It is very comfortable and I love the forged plastic. It feels more like a distance driver than a fairway driver but I use it for hyzer flip shots in the woods up to 400ft. I would recommend this disc to anyone looking for a hyzer flip fairway driver.

I highly recommend this fairway for long, strait flights or hyzer flips into the wind. You can even put it on a slight anhyzer and watch it fight out of the turn with a trusty low speed fade.

The plastic has decent flex and excellent grip.

truly an amazing disc! you can put this on almost any line you choose and it will hold from hard hyzers. to massive high annys with a solid fade back at the end. I used to bag an undertaker for this slot in my bag and on a calm day there is almost no difference  between the two but to be able to shape shots in the wind like you can with this disc is just amazing. it will still turn hard in a headwind but so will any stable disc. but pretty much any other wind scenario is completly controllable with this disc. only things I don't agree with is the speed it's definatly more an 11 with the rim of a 10 but is still can be flexed when thrown with a 6-7 power. and the distance gain from slower arms will be massive. I'm throwing this out in the high 300s every time with only 70% power. highly reccomend to any player that is playing in ma2 or higher as you do need a good deal of control and proper release to utilize this disc.

Beginner friendly.   A roller or woods disc for arms that have 400+ feet of power or more.   The disc feels like a Prodigy 400g disc.  So much so I would guess it's manufactured by the same company.  It didn't take long before it wasn't really usable for me.  I would say a Valkyrie or Beast has less turn than this.  I would give it a turn of -3.

This disc has been a big game-changer for me. I got a pair of them when the launch edition came out a couple more as I have used them. The plastic on the launch editions is a bit stiffer resulting in more stability. The other three I have gotten have more natural flex, and the plastic is more flexible. It has been a massive upgrade to my bag, and I will always bag one if I have one.

Out of the box and in hand, the disc feels very nice. Grippy but not too grippy, very sleek looking plastic, similar to Star.
Flys pretty true to it's numbers, a little flippy if you throw it a little too hard but overall, a great controllable distance driver that could really fit in anyones bag. Off the tee, it goes pretty straight with minimal turn and fade when thrown at the right arm speed.

Otherwise, if you throw it a little slower you have a trusty disc that will gently fade not too far off of the line you threw.

This disc is incredible. It blows my mind that such a high speed disc can have such a neutral flight but this disc can do just that. Thrown on a slight hyzer the Era will flip up to flat and just ride with slight left to right movement and endless amounts of glide. To me this flies just like a faster FD, I'd highly recommend this discs to anybody at any skill level. Finish Line hit it out of the park with this one.

This is the ultimate utility disc. I only have about 300 feet of consistent distance but this disc flies as far as any I have tried. This disc will hold whatever angle you put it on with only a slight faxe at the end. The forged plastic feels great. Would 100% recommend.

Buy this disc, no matter your skill level.

Immediately kicked the FD, Undertaker, and Trespass out of my bag.  Finally, a straight flier that I can shape backhand AND forehand with ease and confidence.

Goes farther than my faster drivers with less effort.  Chart says 360', I think 400' is a more representative realistic expectation for this mold.  I find myself reaching for this disc instead of my power drivers when I really want to get some distance, especially on tunnel shots and up-hill drives.

Easy point, shoot, and hit.  Can trust it to glide far and fade gently, even into some light wind.  Great for hyzer flips, flat, and turn over shots.

Plastic is up there with K1 by Kastaplast.  Tacky and Firm without being too gummy.  No flashing.  Super glossy even after dozens of rounds.  Wording/tooling on the dome, close to rim, I sometimes feel it and move my grip to another spot so it's not in my head.

Feels very comfy in my average sized hands for both back and forehand throws.  Nose is more rounded than sharp.  Light dome to mostly flat.

Holding up well after a couple months in my bag.  Have hit several trees with no real damage.  Flight has changed very little if any.

Drew, you hit a game-winning homerun with this one.

I have about 360' power with a hyzer flip. The Era goes far for me. On my third shot with the Era I got it out to 370' with a hyzer flip to flat. At that power, it does require the hyzer. For me, it feels like a slightly thinner and more understable Valkyrie. The Forged plastic is not as gummy as G-Star, but gummier than Star. Almost like K1 from Kastaplast, but not quite as awesome as that. The jury is still out regarding durability. I'm hoping it maintains its current flight, because it's awesome right now.

Preordered this as soon as I saw it was coming available.  Somewhat beefy rim, but nothing that should discourage any who likes thin or shallow ones. Plastic feels great in the 50-70° weather I ve had it out in. Grippy but can take a Pennsylvania tree beating. Pretty understable at first and didn't want to flip back, but did after a good breaking in. Between my heat and photon for flight path. Got more distance then I expected, broke 300' with it not trying to throw as hard as I can and I don't normally throw that far. Great utility disc, need experience and accuracy to flip it. Throw it flat it goes pretty straight without a huge hook at the end. Not the greatest disc you will throw but best new driver I bought in a while. Mvp photon is better for longer shots, but the era has more glide than most other discs without having a dome. Fairways, tunnels, and avoiding diving off the fairways is where it shines.

This disc flies really well, glad I ordered two though since one of them arrived with a major defect on the rim. Seems like a lot of them had the same defect. Hopefully they fix this, great mold, shoddy manufacturing. My one that came without defects is very nice. But the other one is 165 grams so I haven't thrown it.

I love the plastic. Perfect fit in between by Eagle and my Shryke. I did notice that it tends to come out late(right for RHBH) for me compared to my other drivers. It might be the stepped edge that is messing with my release point, but I just have to remember that and adjust. I absolutely LOVE the 1.5 fade. I had Drew sign 2 of my 3 at St. Patty's Classic, but I'm just gonna throw them anyway. I'm too old to be "collecting" any discs these days. I figure the signature is worth at least 30 extra feet each drive.

Big fan of the Era so far. I had a chance to go out in a field today and compare it against some other discs I bag and it slots in as a slightly understable fairway/control driver for me. When I throw it flat with moderate power it flips over too much but if I give it some height and some hyzer it flips up to slight anny then finishes softly back on hyzer . I average about 375'-400' with it on 60-70% power, any more and it flips and doesn't fade back. The plastic feels like a cross between a Kastaplast K1 plastic and Innova Star, I really enjoy the tackiness and flexibility of it.

I'm excited to see how the next run feels but so far this one is getting bagged for sure

Plastic feels nice. Gets a little gummy with some use. Ended up being a touch more understable than I expected but it'll still have a spot in my bag as a straight flyer. Feels like it has really good glide.

My only gripe is the lettering under the flight plate. I feel it on my finger tips when I grip the disc. Not a huge problem, it's just noticeable whenever I grip it.

The Finish Line Era is straight but controllable driver. You can release it flat for a long straight flight or flip it up for a quick straight flight that will fade quicker.

I would compare it to the Infinite Discs Dynasty or a longer/faster Exodus.

The plastic is grippy and seems very durable. An interesting detail is that the flight plate is rather thick and substantially thicker than most discs I throw.

I'm having a hard time with the era. On the one hand it feels very good. I like the plastic, it's comfortable, in the hand it gives a lot of confidence. On the other hand it never quite flies how I want it to. I heard drew Gibson describe the era as filling the slot of like a beat in thunderbird or Anax, so that's kind of what I was looking for, but I think my expectations were just a little bit off. For me if I throw it flat, it'll go straight with a little fade at the end which is great, but not quite what I was expecting. I expected a little turn when thrown flat, but it just flies straight. This isn't a bad thing just not what I expected. I've also found it to be quite angle sensitive; if I put it on any amount of anhyzer, the era will just turn over and never want to fight back. If I put it in a slight hyzer it might flip up to flat, but any more hyzer and it sort of just wants to dump right (LHBH).

Overall, I'm very torn on the era. I really want to like it because it feels really good and I love Drew, but so far the flight hasn't worked well for me. I think I'm going to keep working with it to see if my opinion changes, but it is pretty sensitive to the angle you throw it on in my experience.

This review is going to be difficult to put in words, but put simply, I am madly in love with this disc. I never have felt such an emotional attachment to a disc, I think I may ask for its hand in marriage

Jokes aside, this thing is extremely versatile. It's the perfect compliment to a Leopard3, or the stable run of the Passion. What sets it apart is its speed. When I compare this to a Leopard3, the flight path is similar, but being a bit faster, definitely close to 10 speed, it flies about 75 feet farther for me. The Finish Line Era pushes similar distances to my max distance drivers at about 430-440 when putting some power behind her. Being an understable control driver, this is great for tight wooded lines where you need a bit more distance. She will flip up from hyzer and glide for days. Its fade pushes forward, and it doesn't really dump out. I have been loving this for big, turn over RHBH shots that need to push far right. The stability will hold a line, and ever so slowly coming back to flat as the disc slows down. Huge fan of the types of lines this thing will hold. When thrown on steep hyzer, it will flip up, but hold that left turning flight, making shots that need to move far laterally easy. The glide will hold this disc in the air, and it won't dig into the ground.

Finally, the plastic, feels amazing for me. Comparable to Innova Star, and the little I know of DD Lucid. The difference is being the softness of it. I don't know how to describe it. It isn't super soft, or flexible, but it seems to just be a slight enough difference to make generating snap easier. I feel like getting spin on this disc is easier as the plastic is slight bit more grippy than the other premiums I have in my bag.

Awesome disc! Hyped for more rounds with it, and the full standard release of it. 10/10 would recommend!

I know this disc flies fantastic! I was slightly disappointed to find that the foil seems defective. Foil specs rub off the disc and onto your hands, other discs, and clothes. Never seen this issue with other manufacturers so I imagine it's just just because it's a new line of disc. Overall though, great mold, just wish the foil didn't get everywhere.

I got a pair of these with the first run pre order and I was instantly impressed by the plastic. It feels fantastic. While they are not super domey mine have a bit of a pop top. The plastic and overall feel is great they but aren't the cleanest discs production I have seen having some blemishes that I think would get them put in the seconds bin at other manufacturers' factories. That being said the blemishes seem like they should not be noticed in flight. The embossing underneath is also annoying but you can just move your hand a bit.

This disc flies great for me. It tends to hold my angle but is pretty forgiving, while turning or fading it doesn't eat up a ton of lateral distance. It behaves very well in the wind despite not being super over stable. For me it is a perfect straight driver. As it beats in it has a wonderful flip up.

The new Finish Line Era is such a good fairway driver! I instantly fell in love with this disc as I was lucky enough to get and throw a prototype version. This disc earned me so many birdies in a recent tournament. The first time I used the Era was on a trip to California where I took only three discs and played La Mirada park. This driver is so versatile I hardly felt that I even needed any other driver.

The Era has a nice flat top, but still has excellent glide. It turns a bit, and I'm able to get it to flip up from a hyzer or even turn right on a flat release but it has a nice soft fade back as well. It has the control of a straight flying fairway driver, but I'm able to get it for easy distance with a smooth throw.  With backhand throws I'm able to get the Era out to about 330 feet. I can throw it about 270 on forehand throws with a soft hyzer release and a lot of wrist snap. If I try and throw it forehand too hard, it flips over a bit much, but for control forehand shots in the 240-270 range this disc is just money for me.

I absolutely love Finish LInes new plastic. This blend is grippy and feels ultra premium The Era is one of the best discs I've ever thrown and I am really excited about the potential of this brand.
