The Era is the first disc in Drew Gibson's Finish Line. This disc is designed to be the all-purpose control driver for players of all skill levels.

With a flat top and neutral flight path the Era works well for both backhand and forehand throws. It is understable enough to work for newer players, but has enough stability that it can handle the power of Drew Gibson. The Era has enough speed and glide to go as far as many distance drivers, but has minimal fade for the straight flight of a fairway.

Finish Line Discs are designed and manufactured in the USA.

The Composite plastic Era is my do it all workhorse shot shaping disc. I love throwing 9 speed discs like the Infinite Dynasty, or the Millenium Orion LF. Era comes out when I want to throw the same shot shape with added glide and a bit more bite at the end of the flight! The added stability of the composite plastic helps keep it from turning and burning when you hammer it hard. I love to smash my era on baby hyzer flips that go straight forever and have the perfect controlled finish. It is also really fun to throw it on slower turnover lines to get that workable S-Curve. If I'm in a pinch and I need to throw anhyzer up and over everything; it has the resiliance to fight back straight. There's not a lot that this disc can't do. I'll even reach for it instead of a Destroyer if I want a super controlled distance line.

I bag this disc in both composite and forged plastic. The recent runs of the composite are becoming my favorite discs in my bag, as the plastic feels great and is slightly gummy. The forged runs are nice and understable, but the composites fly like a slightly beat in PD, great for flex lines and one-angle hyzers. They compliment each other perfectly.

The ERA is a must have in anyones bag - the perfect 10 speed disc! It glides longer than most 10 speeds and still has plenty of stability at the end of its flight! If you havent tried it yet, grab one today!!!!

The Composite version the Era is a good bit more stable right out of the box. The Composite Era reminds me of a more domey Scepter. Comfortable on both backhand and sidearm but due to its overstability it won't fly quite as far as the Forged version on hyzer.

My go-to flex disc, and something I use in place of a stable fairway driver.

Ive thrown the Era in two different plastics, a few of which were very early runs in forged plastic. The early forged discs were go tos in my bag for a while. They were kicked out for a while but I go back to them occasionally. These were great flyers pretty true to the numbers maybe a touch more understable and Id recommend them to anyone. But then theres the composite run... I thought the 0 1 turn/fade would be a very good complement to the forged ones I had but instead what I got was completely different. These 2 composite eras are overstable as the best and have no glide, and Id normally tell you the glide rating is the most pointless number. These things just fall out of the sky similar to a tilt, it doesnt fade left it just falls left. For refference Im throwing 400+ft with my distance drivers but this thing will hardly go 300. Im not sure if it was just the first composite run or if I got 2 lemons, but its turned me off from trying any more.

    Review for Composite Plastic

*NOTE* The flight numbers stamped on the disc are 5/5/0/1 and are on every single one of them.

The Composite Era discs have left a lasting impression on me with their reliable flight and impressive stability. The stiffness of the Composite plastic allows for confident throws and consistent results. Whether it's an anhyzer release or a straight shot, the disc handles it with ease, fighting out of turns and providing a reliable fade at the end. In comparison to Forged Plastic, the Composite Era discs are more overstable, making them a great choice for windy conditions. While they may not offer as much glide as the Forged discs, the Composite Era still provides enough finesse for controlled throws. Additionally, the durability of the Composite plastic is outstanding, ensuring that the disc maintains its flight characteristics over time. If you value reliability, stability, and durability in your game, I highly recommend giving the Composite Era a try.

    Rating: 4.5/5 stars

    My flight numbers: 10/5/0/2

For reference, I throw about 400' consistently with a 450' max distance at 4500' above sea level.

    Happy disc golfing!

The new composite plastic feels very good. It is stiffer than the forged plastic, but still fairly gummy. This disc is the perfect compliment to the forged plastic. It is more stable, but not overly so. You can throw this on hyzer and expect it to flip up to flat and glide before a dependable dump. There's not as much turn as the Forged plastic, but enough to get it going down the fairway. I don't have a big arm, but can get this to push over 350 which is great for me. This is also a great disc for sidearms in the woods. It can handle the torque of a forehand without turning too much, but flips up enough to hit some nice tunnel shots and get to the basket.

    Review for Composite Plastic

The Composite Plastic is much stiffer and flies more overstable than Forged Plastic. It can handle more of an anhyzer release and it will fight out the turn and fade. I'd give the Composite a flight of:

I recently got a Composite plastic version. I was expecting the stability step up you often see between Star to Champ. This would have been great but that is not what happened. It is like the difference between DX and Champ. The composite plastic in the first run is crazy over stable compared to the Forged.

Still a cool disc but completely different.
