The Verdict is a very overstable midrange designed to handle a lot of torque with accurate consistent flights. All Verdicts stamped either “Prototype” or “First Run – Prototype” are stamped with Truth on the back. The disc was originally to be released as the Truth, but that name was instead used for a “True” straight flyer.

I've tried a few lucid-x and lucid glimmer verdicts, and I have a love/hate relationship with this disc. It feels great, very similar to an emac truth. It also feels great on forehand, very rare for an overstable midrange ime. However, the only plastic option I have found that can handle forehand torque is the lucid-x cris clemons run from 2020 or 2021. The rest of them get some high speed turn anytime I don't get a perfectly smooth release, which is admittedly not always. It does what it is supposed to do, but it just couldn't find a place in my bag when there are discs that fly so similar and can handle my forehand throws even when I mess up a bit. I love the lucid-x one I have, but it is a bit slick for me. I bag a Streamline Runway in this slot, because it handles the misthrown shot more consistently(although it feels worse). I will give this disc a solid 4/5, because it does what is advertised and the mold feels fantastic.

What I hoped my Roc3 would be. I am not a power thrower, 350' with high speed discs, 250' with mid ranges. I'm still mastering my throwing mechanics, and I've struggled in the past with off-axis torque on my backhand that tends to turn slower discs over. With my Champion Roc3, if I torque it wrong, it turns over and rides an anhyzer line with a finish  at the end back to level. The Verdict, however, is much more forgiving in this regard. Protects against the accidental turnover much better. However, it glides! It's not like some overstable discs, where it just seems like they don't want to fly, they want to dive left ASAP. I have a Zone that's overstable like that, wants to get left to the ground almost out of my hand. There is a place for that, but the Verdict glides really nicely, going straight for 2/3 of the flight before consistently transitioning into a solid but not over-pronounced fade. And the in-hand feel is superior to the Roc3 or the Zone that I have. Never loved the bead on the Roc3. I haven't bagged many Dynamics in the past, usually throw Infinite, Discraft, or Innova discs, but I really love this disc, it's a keeper for me.

This is one of my favorite discs for scrambling in the woods. Its very over-stable which lets me trust that it will fade back. I throw it for hyzer shots mainly but also throw it on some flex (anhyzer) lines trusting it to fade back at the end. It could be difficult for beginners to throw due to its over stability but its also a slower speed disc which would help counter that. Above all, I love throwing it on forehands. Most lower speed discs I struggle to not flip over but the Verdict never has that issue. If you're looking for a forehand midrange/approach/scramble disc, this is for you. Great disc all around!

I was in search of a stable to slightly over stable mid range. For me, it beat out the Ra and Roc3. Thrown flat it goes straight with a consistent finish. Thrown hard it will drift right a little and keep the same left finish.

    Disc - 180 LucidX Verdict

Feel - The Verdict feels very good in the hand for both forehand and backhands. It feels very similar to the EMac truth if you are familiar with that mold.

Flight - The regular verdict is not super overstable but it holds a line nicely and has a nice finish at the end of the flight. The lucidX is much more overstable to where it wants to fade almost the entire flight. I really enjoy both variations but I just lost my last lucid verdict and am scrambling to get it replaced soon because it has an integral place in my bag.

Overall - Semi-overstable midrange that flies very nicely and compliments the emac truth very well.

I was lucky enough to find a Lucid Verdict and Buzzz Colorshift this Summer and they made a great combo. The more I play, the more I prefer the Verdict. Mine is a little beat in and is not as overstable as I'm sure a new one would be. Definitely always going to carry a Verdict in my bag.

I pair this disc with my Malta as its more overstable buddy and they work well together IMO. Got it as a mystery disc in my order and was very happy to see it. Seems to glide more than advertised but I'm in no way complaining about that. I've still yet to figure out my forehand but when I do I foresee this being very useful.

The Verdict is an interesting disc.

On one hand, it it what it says it is: overstable. Out of the box, you could throw this disc in a hurricane and it wouldn't flip. Amazing for overstable backhand shots, hard skip shots, and a beautiful all-around forehand disc. At the same time, almost oxymoronically, this disc can glide for days. Despite it being so overstable, I can almost get this as far as a Compass or EMac Truth. This disc will go laser straight given enough power, with an extremely reliable fade at the end.

The differences between plastics on this disc are fairly stark though. I personally throw a Lucid Verdict, but I've seen a Fuzion and a Lucid-X Glimmer be thrown. The Fuzion Verdict is more of like an overstable EMac Truth; a reliable, straight midrange. The Lucid-X Glimmer Verdict is super overstable, almost like a glidier Harp or Zone. The Lucid plastic is perfectly in the middle. Noticeably more overstable than an EMac, a Roc, a Buzzz OS, etc. while still having the ability to get the same distance as more neutral mids.

I used to love the EMac Truth. However as I got a better backhand form, the Verdict is now my best friend. I still bag the EMac for a neutral mid, but the Verdict can do so much for me no matter what situation I'm in. I would recommend the Verdict regardless of plastic, under the assumption that the buyer is aware of how the plastic affects the flight of this disc out of the box.

I like the Verdict. I just don't think it flies like it is advertised. It flies almost identically to my zflx buzzzes except that it glides more and has a touch more turn. Yes, turn. It holds a great hyzer line. And it flies nice and straight, but it turns just like the Discraft Hornet (which is also not supposed to turn). The buzzz flies straighter its whole flight while the verdict makes more of an s-turn and glides out a touch more when thrown as close to identically as I could do. It is not as overstable as a buzzz OS, though they do feel very similar in hand. It's a nice disc, and it's the only Dynamic Discs disc I have thrown, and turn/fade numbers are not that standardized across manufacturers... but if you are looking at this disc based on flight number experience with Innova, Discraft, or MVP, you might find it to be less OS than the numbers would indicate.

A great disc for when you want to throw your Emac Truth and want to ensure it doesn't turn over at all. Feels very similar to the Emac, in the hand, and flies similar, with an even more dependable, aind harder fade at the end. If you need to make that RHBH left corner, the Verdict will do it. If I could get all my discs in lucid glimmer, I would.

I got this as a mystery disc with my last order and I've got to say, this one is really strange. That's neither here nor there and perhaps strange isn't a good word for it, but here's what I mean. Normally an over stable disc has a pretty short glide. I don't know how, but this disc not only fades sharply, but is reliably glide-ey if you give it the speed it deserves. I have always wondered how they get specific shapes to do specific purposes, but they've built something pretty cool here. I'm not sure what you'd use it for, but I would say for now that this would be a good all purpose disc NOT for a beginner.

PROS: A great amateur or above level disc.

    CONS: None spring to mind.

I used the Verdict my overstable midrange in my bag. I love the glide this disc has, it feels like it has such great carry and holds the line for an entire flight with a predictable finish at the end. It the disc I want when I need a long straight shot with a strong finish at the end. I was using the Wasp for my overstable midrange for years, but when I started incorporating forehands into my game, the wasp wasn't giving me the flight I was looking for. After trying the Verdict a few times in the field backhand and forehand I knew it was the perfect disc to fill this spot in my bag. It really compliments a Buzzz or Truth as something to reach for if the wind picks up and you still want that straight shot.

I think this disc could be something a beginner can start to work with to learn how to throw overstable molds.
