The Suspect is a unique, versatile disc in the Dynamic Discs line. This is a relatively slow midrange with a small diameter. It is thin for a midrange, with a height of just 1.6cm. The Suspect is very overstable and should be great for powerful throwers and windy days. Dynamic Discs says that this disc has the best characteristics of putters and midrange discs. It’s an all-purpose mid that fits in the “tweener” slot in your bag. The Suspect was PDGA approved on March 8th, 2013. It is available in DD’s quality Clasic Blend, Lucid, and Fuzion plastic in the Eric McCabe series.

I was looking for a disc that does what this disc does for a long time. So good forehand and backhand. If I'm playing a one disc course with no hole over 300 it's for sure this. Flick solid long straight with trusted fade at end. Backhand the solid overstable trusted slot. Flies as far as any five speed in my opinion but didn't feel overly glidey which is good in my opinion and still feels like a slow disc which is also good on my opinion. One of a kind. It's like a less dumpy zone.

I picked up a Lucid Suspect at a tournament I just played this weekend. I wanted a disc that would be less stable than my Justice and fly a little further than my Zone. This fits that slot nicely. I love the flat top, which makes it great for forehands as well! This can be a great approach disc or trusty off the tee for shorter par threes under 250'.

To be honest, this feels somewhat similar to my Buzzz OS, but it's a little slower and a bit more predictable.

I'd highly recommend this disc for any DD fan, or anyone else throwing a mixed bag for that matter.

I bought a Harp and liked the flight, but I didn't like the rim. This disc pretty much corrected that. Though they're technically in a different category (putter/mid-hybrid vs. mid), I feel that my Suspect fills those holes that the Harp was lacking in. This disc has a consistent fade when thrown with <80% power, and will not usually turn over. If thrown with more power, you'll get a very straight, glidy flight with that dependable fade at the end.

    Lucid-X instead of Lucid ->

4/5 only because the numbers I think are slightly off - Suspect is not quite as overstable as the number suggest, but it is still an excellent approach disc. Thin profile coupled with a microbead makes it really consistent to release. It's a tick less stable than the Harp, and with less of a fade. It really shines for straight to slightly-overstable approaches that require low glide. It holds any line very well.

I have smaller hands, so I find this much more constistent as a forehand disc than the Harp or Slammer. It really is an excellent approach disc.

I picked up a suspect to fill the gap between a Pine and a Justice.  In time the Suspect took the Pine's place in my bag altogether.  Thrown forehand it is mostly straight even in headwind.  Thrown backhand I get the exact same path and distance as the Pine.  It will not turnover even if thrown with 60-70% power

The shallow profile and blunt edge makes this one of the most comfortable forehand discs I've ever thrown. Really easy to throw forehand, and it will not turn over even with power. I'm making shots with it that I've never made before, it definitely fills a need in my bad. Not quite as overstable as other discs in this category. I've found it to be a really straight flyer that always fades. When thrown flat I am getting a lot of skip when it hits the ground.

This is my go to midrange out on the course. It fights with the wind and I know exactly what flight it is going to take based on what angle I decide to put the suspect on. This disc reminds me of a longer Discraft Zone because I has the same flight pattern but the Suspect seems to go much farther. You can find a similar disc with many other manufactures; the suspect to me seems a lot better off of the teepad rather than an approach shot. This disc is perfect for beginners because for the most part, players are looking for a reliable and easy to throw disc that will fade at the end.

Great disc. A tad faster than a harp. Truly is a "tweener" disc. Up shots and off the tee for anything under 315 feet. Can flex the disc to get a nice s-shot. Gentle hyzers/knife hyzers. Sidearm approaches are sweet. Also good for dead straight frozen ropes if you put juice on it.

I use this disc the most because I can count on it. If I don't get a clean tee shot, I am scrambling with the Suspect and know I can get up and down. Classic plastic is good for sticking to the ground and is a bit more overstable than Lucid. More grip as well obviously.

one of my most thrown disc i bag. used on about 40% of my approach shots both F/H and B/H. you can use it for overhead flicks out of brush. F/H i use it for shorter straight throws with late fade toward basket.  very consistent disc.  easier to control distance so i don't throw past the basket. Feels great in hand. numbers seem accurate truly is zero turn even in headwind it has low height to slice past the wind.

I recently picked up a Lucid Suspect from Dynamic Discs, and I only have one complaint. It's that I didn't pick one up sooner.

The Suspect is one of those "tweener" discs that lands in between of a putter, and a mid-range. It has a very flat top, and it fairly blunt on the sides. If you have even thrown a Slammer, the Suspect has a very similar shape, without the added thumb track, and goes a bit further.

I previously been using a Slammer for short forehand upshots. Sometimes it worked for me, and sometimes it didn't. A friend suggested I try a Suspect, and I instantly bagged the discs. The Suspect will go a bit further than my Slammer with a bit more glide, but still has a reliable fade. For backhand shots, it fits better in my hand than the Slammer, so I am much more confident throwing it backhand.

I don't use the Suspect for full-power forehand upshots. I typically am only throwing maybe 50-60%. When I really put some mustard on it, I start to have some unpredictable results and it will have some high speed turn. For me, any forehand upshot up to 200ft, I'm using the Suspect. If it's a bit longer (for forehand approaches), I'm probably going to disc up to the Justice.

If you are looking for a flat top disc in that similar category as a Zone, Pig, or Rhino, I would definitely give the Suspect a try.

The Suspect is a stable to overstable midrange from Dynamic Discs. The Suspect had an interesting feel, as it is a smaller diameter midrange. It has a flatter top and shallow profile, and was comfortable in the hand. It almost feels more like a putt and approach disc than a true midrange. When powered down, the Suspect has a nice overstable flight that is easy to control, but it could also handle a bit more power. When given more power, the Suspect had a straighter flight with a little fade at the end. This disc worked really well on approaches as it lacked glide and was easy to dial in the accuracy. Not really a workhorse type midrange for me, but it was a great approach disc.

I am in love with this disc. Very comfortable in the hand and the lucid plastic just feels great in the hand. Pretty flat disc but not to flat.  If your needing a overstable putter/mid this is a great choice. I use this disc from everything 230 and in. This a great disc to help control your distance with since it's so overstable. Throw it with a hyzer and it will hold it the entire flight. Thrown flat it will not turn right on you and will still hyzer out once it starts to slow down. Up shots into a wind is no prob with this disc it will not turn over on you. If I had one word to describe this disc it would be control. When I grab this disc out of my bag I know what it's gonna do. I have also found that it makes a great head wind putter as well. When the wind gets up I can still throw this right at the basket and it won't have wind get under it and go over the basket. I can see new players as well as pros having this in their bag. Not a big distance disc but that's not what it's made for.

This was a great tweener disc for forehand putts and approaches. The suspect is a lower profile midrange that feels and flies like an overstable putter. This disc has helped me out of tight spots a time or two and I don't pull it out every round but when I need it I'm always very glad I kept it in the bag.

A staple in my bag for forehand and backhand upshots.  I can really rip on it and it flys about like a nice overstable putter, similar to a wizard with a touch stronger fade. Doesn't flip, but holds a nice line with a small fade at the end, less than a zone, more than a traditional putter. Great touch forehand mid for a forehand dominant player or someone who fancies themselves a side arm shot shaper and appreciates a bit less than meat-hook stability.

I can't believe it took me so long to try the Lucid Suspect! I absolutely love this disc; it compliments the rest of lineup very well. It currently fits in between my Justice and Verdict.

The Suspect has a very strait flight, with a decent dependable fade at the end. After they beat in a little they can turn over a bit, but generally just go strait for longer. It is a pretty good wind disc, especially new and in a heavier weight.

Right now I use my Suspect for hyzer lines anywhere from 200-300 feet. It isn't as far as my Verdict, which I like. Sometimes when I crank on my Verdict, it goes and goes. The Suspect makes me feel like I have a little more control with some of those touchy distances. The shape of the disc also helps it settle really nicely; I don't get as many crazy skips and finishes with this disc. I can throw this pretty much full power on a really light hyzer and the flight is exactly what I want, every time.

It now has a permanent place in my bag. I am extremely surprised this disc isn't thrown by more people. It is a fantastic disc that has a very important role.

This was my slightly stable mid of choice until the EMac Truth came out.  It holds a good line with a slight but consistent fade at the end.  I simply prefer the feel/grip of the EMac truth over the Suspect.

I tried to love Roc's but they never felt right in my hand.  I got a red BioFuzion Suspect for short drives and appoaches after a creek ate my Champion Rhyno.  It felt right in hand and flew in a manner that created devotion.  I loved the flat top.  It putted well in wind, too.  It ended up replacing two other very beat-in mid's in my bag (Mako3 and MD3) as well as the Rhyno.  Then the same creek ate it, too (a tree tenderized it).  I bought a Lucid Suspect in the same weight to replace it.  But it never faded as much.  So I bought another BioFuzion in the same weight.  Still lacked the fade I fell in love with.  I still bag the replacement Suspects, but I feel I would not so quickly replace them if lost now.  The Lucid Judge, A2 and Kaxe I also bag (in the space my first Suspect had freed up) cover a wider range of shots.  So why do I keep the Suspects in there?  They still feel great to throw and that translates into more consistent throws for me (and occassionally super long birdie flex shots).  I can't give it 4.5 stars but wanted to.  To get a true 5 stars I'd need 15 more feet off the tee pad or someone to return a red BioFuzion Suspect they found in a creek.

edit:  Lost the Lucid (in a pond this time) and stopped bagging the BioFuzion.  A new Star Rhyno replaced both and eventually the Judge as well.  As I suspected I don't miss the Suspect.  Disc down!

Got this at a tournament and thoroughly enjoy it. Its great for my game, because I frequently encounter shots where there is a little too strong of a wind for my putter, or I cannot turn down my midrange to make an accurate shot. The suspect makes for a great approach disc. It fits in the hand real nice, and for as flat as it is it does indeed sail as other have mentioned. Great utility disc geared for windy or semi long approaches.

For as flat as these discs are, they have some of the best glide that I have seen. A nice smooth release will see it sailing a long distance without much arm power.

I throw a DyeMax lucid suspect and i really enjoy this disc...still learning to throw easy rhbh up shots cause i have good touch with my forehand up shots but can't always throw one depending on the lie but nice and over stable into a headwind thrown on a hyzer line it'll come back with a tailwind throw it flat and let it finish easy to the left...overall very useful and versatile disc.

I have two Suspects. One is a 176g Lucid and one is a 174g Classic. Admittedly, I haven't thrown the Classic much yet, but I've gotten a lot of use out of the Lucid. I've switched to the Suspect for all approach shots, and it's an amazing flick disc. I'm regularly placing the Suspect close enough to the basket to take stokes off my game (since I'm not a great putter). More importantly I've hit two long birdies with the Suspect, both ~150 feet. Such a good disc, I highly recommend it.

I don't know why it took me so long to try out the Suspect, but now that I have, I realize that I have been missing out. My red Lucid (opto-line) plastic is beautiful and I absolutely love the thin profile and absolutely flat top. The flat top makes it feels a lot like a BUZZZ, but it's definitely more overstable. Scratch that... it's more STABLE and then has an overstable end of flight fade.

When I throw the Suspect it flies almost perfectly straight and then fades hard at the end of the flight. There is no turn at all in this disc, yet the hooking forces don't kick in until the disc really slows down. If I keep it low to the ground, there is almost no fade at all. Thrown at an Anhyzer angle, this disc is overstable enough that it always recovers and works great for s curve flex shots.

This disc also fights the wind very well. While the flight of the DD Suspect is predictable and consistent, the thing that really differentiates this mid from others is how well it works for forehand flick shots for me. I struggle to flick most mids, as they usually turn over on me, or in the case of the Prodigy M1, my hand gets caught in the ultra deep rim. Previously, I've had the most success flicking a Titanium Buzzz, but if I throw it to hard, it turns too much. This disc feels a lot like the Buzzz, but being more overstable is the perfect mid for those forehand shots where obstacles and such don't allow for a backhand throw. The Suspect makes a great approach disc, and I actually like it's feel as a putter too. If you throw with a lot of snap, this disc skips a lot which can be both a good and a bad thing. Even though it's a fairly slow mid that doesn't have a lot of glide, I had a tendency to overthrow it, several times because of the big skips. One situation where you want to avoid using the Suspect is on hills. For whatever reason this disc has a tendency to turn and stay vertical all the way down the hill. I had several short approach shots that went from easy par putts to saving a five. If you're looking for a midrange disc to use for shorter forehand drives, there's nothing I like more than this one. This is another solid Dynamic Disc.

Suspect is sometime associated with the word: Most Wanted. This disc was well named. I own a 175g, Lucid Plastic First Run. I have been playing disc golf for about two years now, competitively for a little over a year. The suspect truly fills a gap in my bag, it is an over stable midrange that can handle my arm speed and not turn over. I have other mids in my bag, such as the Wasp(discraft), which will turn over on me if I put too much speed on it. The suspect will definitely fade at the end, but it is not as pronounced as a hornet or drone (discraft). This is unlike any midrange discs I have previously thrown. I can throw my overstable midranges like the hornet about 250ft and the wasp about 275ft, I was able to get the suspect to about 275+ and was able to get more control on the disc. It is fantastic in any wind condition. The suspect is a much smaller diameter midrange than any I have thrown, it is about the same size as my Discraft Zone. I thought it would be like a longer version of the Zone, but discovered that it holds a straight line a lot longer, where my zone tends to fade sooner in its flight. I highly reccomend this disc to anyone who are turning over a Wasp or Roc and needs a little more stability. It would not be reccomended for beginners (within 3-6 months of experience), but would be a great next disc.

I have been playing disc golf for just short of a year now. The plastic on this disc is pretty awesome. By first look, it looks like Champion plastic from Innova. I found it to be less rigid and more grippy than Champion. It's not as clear as Champion, a little more "frosty" I guess, but it looks great. My disc is blue, which is generally a color I shy away from because it sometimes blends in with the vegetation around here, but I didn't have trouble finding this one among grass and leaves. This disc is FLAT as all heck! When I took it out of the bag I shocked. I kept looking at it and was almost in disbelief at how flat it was. My fingers fit very well around the disc and under the rim and it felt really comfortable in my hand from the first time I held it. I do have smaller hands and shorter fingers, so sometimes I have trouble gripping discs, but not with this one. This disc flew amazingly well for me. This is the first disc from Dynamic Discs I have thrown. It doesn't have as much glide to it as some of my other mids, but it does go where you think it is going to. I was having much success with it throwing around trees, which are plentiful here in PA. I played about 3 rounds at the same course just using this disc and a putter, and each round I improved a stroke or 2, getting to my normal course score after the 3rd round. When thrown flat, it would go straight for awhile and then fade off left pretty significantly. When thrown with a hyzer angle, it really arced hard for me, but as I said, in a useful way. It took a bit to get used to giving the disc enough room to get all the way around and exactly what flight path it was taking. Most of the mids in my bag have 0 fade. Good disc! I think anyone would like and be able to utilize it. I think I will be keeping this disc in my bag for awhile because it was really useful getting around the trees!
