The Suspect is a unique, versatile disc in the Dynamic Discs line. This is a relatively slow midrange with a small diameter. It is thin for a midrange, with a height of just 1.6cm. The Suspect is very overstable and should be great for powerful throwers and windy days. Dynamic Discs says that this disc has the best characteristics of putters and midrange discs. It’s an all-purpose mid that fits in the “tweener” slot in your bag. The Suspect was PDGA approved on March 8th, 2013. It is available in DD’s quality Clasic Blend, Lucid, and Fuzion plastic in the Eric McCabe series.

It took me a long time and a lot of midranges to find the suspect. its the perfect amount of stability. I can really put some power into my shot and not have it turn over. I use it a lot for short down hill shots.

This is only my second review, after owning and throwing scores of discs.  Unfortunately I was compelled to write the other review because I was appalled by a particular mold.  Fortunately, this time is different.  In brief, this is the best approach disc I have found.  And it is so good I've basically stopped looking.  Every other disc in every other slot has competition... I have preferences, and maybe even a favorite, but the Suspect is in a class of its own.  It is officially the only approach disc I need.

I generally do not use it for driving, but it is what you would expect.  Predictable, overstable, and fights wind very well.  I have never seen it turn over, even in a 20+ mph headwind with power.

Where this disc really shines for me is approaching the basket.  Anything inside about 200 feet.  While I can throw it farther, that range allows me to be controlled, precise, and accurate.  A very good combination.  An excellent feature is that I am very comfortable with both forehand and backhand throws.  I have an unusual grip, particularly sidearm, and most deep discs (most putters and mids) are not comfortable, and that leads to angle control problems, off-axis torque, or on bad days, both.  The Suspect is quite narrow (1.6cm tall, less than some drivers) and this allows me to use it quite well for both throwing styles, with confidence.  This disc is so good that I often don't need to putt at all.  Drop-ins I can handle, still haven't missed one yet ;)

It bears repeating.  This disc fights wind very well.  I recently played during a storm (rain, sustained 20+ mph winds, stronger gusts) and this is one of a select few discs that were unfazed.  I could throw my shots as normal, and not worry about my line changing in the challenging conditions.  I did of course try to keep it a little lower than I would in calm conditions, but I did not have to go wider, or more inside, or change the angle.  This is very helpful to me as an amateur player.  When a disc is this consistent, I know any error is mine, and exactly how to correct it.

I have used the Suspect as a putter in windy conditions as well.  Not for long range, but if you have gusts that might lift or smash down your regular putter, this will do the job.  Not a primary role, but certainly a bonus.

If you got this far, congratulations, you might have an idea of why this is one of my absolute favorite discs from any manufacturer.  If you skipped ahead to the ending, just buy one, already.  Highly recommended for any player who can throw a basic hyzer shot.
