I have played one year and can get 300 feet on a backhand drive.

I say that to preface that no, I am not a beginner, but I am also not a big thrower. For me, a 170 gram Surge flies flat for a very long time, then experiences a reliable fade. I can also go max effort and not turn this over at all. I really love this as my max distance thrower.
