My favorite discs for forehand drives and thumbers, no close second. My longest drive was with this disc. Put some anger behind it on a flex line and watch it go, but beware the massive predictable fade. You usually won't see it written either, but there's a waffle grip strip inside the rim for thumbers/extra grip. Can't recommend it enough.

Great overstable control driver, a true speed 9. This disc is a bit too overstable for me, but I can use it effectively for throws that require a line with a hard turn at the end.

I would say the primary beneficial difference between the Predator and the many clones (Firebird, FD3, H1, Felon, Pioneer, Ahti, Motion, Blade, etc...), is that the Predator feels a bit more comfortable to hold.

This is the best control driver for forehand throwers in Discraft's lineup.  When thrown flat it holds dead straight with a consistent fade when it slows.  It is also great for touchy flex shots.  I recommend this for all forehand throwers.

When I'm facing winds that I cant trust my Ti Mantises with, or I NEED Fade, this is the disc I reach for. Currently two 168g ESP FLX are in my bag, a 164g FLX makes it in every once in a while for even longer shots.
I got my first one last year, and was surprised at how useful it was, and I wasnt even driving over 250ft at that point. Now I'm in the 350ft range, and I really get to use this disc more and more.
I actually have not used the Z version, so take this with a grain of table salt.
My ESP FLX versions work wonders, I love the feel of the plastic, its always been one of my favorite plastic blends, but these things allow for some nice wear faster than z plastic.
Of of my two that I bag is very flat, and hooks harder, the other one is my go its a well seasoned one that flies dead straight when thrown flat with a moderate foreward finishing fade.

    Pros:
    - Nice and fast, still comfortable in the hand
    - Cross-grip pattern on the inside of the rim
    - Consistant flight throughout wear
    - Handles wind and always finishes left

    Cons:
    - Could see a little more glide, but you can rip into this disc with confidence.

Based on the Discraft rating system the predator has the same rating as the flick. These discs are very different. But when I first threw the predator what surprised me is how flat if flew before the big fade at the end of its flight. The predator is very overstable and will be able to hold its flight path in headwind and sidewind conditions. I throw the predator about 300 ft, for me this is not the longest disc in my bag. However it is one of the most controllable discs I own. Although not recommended for beginners, for those looking for a very overstable disc with control for straight or hyzer lines, this is the disc for you. When I lost mine and had to play a round without it, I made sure to buy a new one right after the round.
