This disc is so old school and very reliable. It has never left my bag. I have a 168g ESP and a 170g Big Z. I mostly use these for forehand fade shots or just to get around obstacles at insane angles. There are a ton of overstable discs out there, but none of them has the cross hatch grip strip inside the rim like the Pred. Perfect for finger placement on the forehand shot. With the slower speed of this disc I am able to get great accuracy up to 275ft. A bigger arm will get more, but I am about control and placement. Also cuts thru the wind like a knife. This is not a beginner disc, but Int to Pros will find it useful.

This is my favorite all time and go to forehand driver. If it wasn't for this disc I probably wouldn't even have a forehand shot. I love the grip strip on the under side of the rim. I had so much trouble getting a useable fh shot. I tried so many discs with limited results, til I got my fingers on a predator. It was money for me. Totally covers up my sloppy form and still gets decent distance for me. And when I get a good drive it really sails. It's true that it is very similar to the firebird, however my preds (both esp plastic,173 & 170 gr.) go quite a bit farther on a good forehand drive(my firebird is a champ 12x 171).I also get some really nice line shaping and s-drives with em. If you're having trouble getting a consistent and useable forehand drive try the predator. THe combo of os and glide I get from mine are perfect for my slower arm speed and covering up my form issues.Love me some predator.

This is main fairway driver and utilty disc.  My Predator is 171g and is ESP FLX plastic.  I like the feel and flex of this plastic. I can get a very good grip on the disc.  The rim is comfortable and not to thick.  I can get the Predator out to around 350ft on a good throw.  I has a nice straight flight then a hard fade as it slows down.  Good disc always in my bag.

This review is for a Discraft Predator ESP FLX of an unknown weight (170ish grams?).

I purchased this disc because I was looking for an overstable disc I could really crank without worry of it turning over to the right.  I knew that the Predator was overstable, but I think I am a little out of my league with this one.  Even when I really step into one and put an anhyzer release on the disc, all I can get is a fairly weak floating flight that crashes hard to the left.  Obviously, the Predator is a bit too much disc for my release… at least at this stage of my game.  I’ll continue to hold onto my Predator as my game develops.  Perhaps at some point down the road, I may be able to handle this thing.

Probably my favorite disc to throw, ever. If I have a tree in the way, I am always reaching for the Pred. This disc does what I tell it too.Very predictable and has saved my game so many times.

The Predator is my go to disc for a lot of shots. Big hyzer, dogleg lefts at the end of the flight (RHBH), some flicks. This disc does it all. I love it in the ESP plastic and going to pick one up in Z. My hope is that the Elite Z will be even more stable
