Great throwing putter in premium plastics, definitely not a 3 fade though.

My only problem with this disc was the plastic is very slick. I would prefer a more grippy option that maintains stability. It does not have 3 fade,

So I am fairly late on the Luna train. I have thrown some in the past in several different plastic types, however I never threw it enough to give it an official review. That changed this year. My crew and I did a review on the 2022 ESP Swirl Tour Series Luna to give this disc a full chance. In short, I will say that yes, this is a good putter, but it isn't better than every other putter out there as some believe. Not for putting, and not for throwing. As I said, this is a good putter but you are not going to get one and automatically unlock distances and lines you have never thrown, nor are you going to suddenly start making every putt simply because of the disc. If I had to explain the Luna in short, I would say that it flies like somebody mashed a Berg and a Buzzz together. I compare it to a Buzzz because it will really hold any line you put it on just like a Buzzz. This thing loves to show you your angle of release for the majority of its flight. The Berg comparison comes from the fact that as soon as it leaves your hand, it seems like it wants to get to the ground. It could be because of my low arm speed, but this disc felt like it had no glide for me. Don't hate me because I am a weak arm reviewing the Luna. If I didn't leave an honest review, I wouldn't leave one at all. If I had to compare the Luna to another disc that I bag, I would compare it to a Ruru from RPM Discs but with more overstability. As far as the plastic, The ESP Swirl seemed way too slick for me. It was hard for me to get a grip on it to be honest and I say this being a fan of the standard ESP plastic. I used to bag an ESP Buzzz and an ESP Buzzz SS and I didn't have any grip issues with either of them. Something felt different with this ESP Swirl plastic and the Big Z Luna almost has the same slick feel to it. I would love to see a Soft Putter Line Luna in the future because I think this one would feel great as compared to the slickness of the other Luna's I have felt. So to wrap this review up, yes, the Luna is a good putter but don't expect to unlock some cheat codes with it that you can't get from literally any other manufacturer.
