This is my go to driver. When you want a straight shot out over 400. You can literally Crank this one.

I feel like the Crank is a super underrated disc. The Z-Line Crank was my go-to for years before I lost it. I recently purchased a Big Z and find it a bit more stable, but I'm thinking it'll beat in as the perfect disc for my arm speed, as it'll be great for powering an anyzer for a long S-turn.

I got my Titanium Crank, not expecting to use it a whole lot. At first, it was a nice slightly overstable distance driver, but as I gained arm speed and my disc beat in a little bit, it has become my go to max distance and understable driver. On a wide open shot, I can get my to turn over for a long time, and have it start to come back at the end. I really love using my crank for straighter shots too, because I can ease up on it just a bit, or throw it on a little hyzer and have it flip up and fly dead straight for a long way. While I primarily throw it backhand, I occasionally use my crank for long, turnover sidearm shots for when I need to flex it around some trees. Even though this disc is a 13 speed, and I think it flies close to that, it is much easier to throw for a medium arm speed player (like myslef) than I expected. I couldn't be happier with my Crank, and it hasn't let me down!

The 400' barrier. If you can confidently throw 400 feet, then this disc can provide a decent hyzerflip for you, but you'll be looking to throw nukes, not cranks.

For the rest of us, the crank is a very crushable disc for max distance. It is stable enough to be thrown in most conditions with a little adjustment on the hyzer angle. The crank is my go-to distance driver. Into a slight headwind, I can hyzerflip it and it has a predictable finish. No wind or tailwind, and it's a very reliable long distance s-shot. The crank has tremendous glide. It's a great disc with a pretty big (2.3 cm) wing. If you have a nuke but can't seem to get it to go as far as you'd like, the crank might be the disc for you. You might think you want the nuke SS, but between the two, I'd take the crank. Once you dial it in, the crank is a very reliable disc for folks throwing in the 350'-400' range.

I got my big z crank after I have been loving my crank ss for flip up max distance shots. I was excited to get it in big z plastic because I really love the big z plastic, but the crank was not exactly what I was looking for. This is an overall great distance driver for someone that wants a stable to overstable distance driver at slower arm speeds. I can throw my crank ss at 350' maybe a bit further on a good rip and this disc was a very overstable complement to that it just did not fly how I was expecting it to. I thought I would be able to get this to fly flat for a little while and then start the dump or throw it on a hard turnover line and have it slowly fade out. I was finding that it did not like holding the anhyzer line I would put it on and it would dump out quickly but when thrown on a flat angle it did not want to fade left right away. It was start holding the straight line how I wanted and then slowly start the fade right instead of a hard dump that I was kind of looking for. I was looking for something that would fly straight and dump for me rather than just slowly fade out to the left for most of the flight and for some reason whenever I try to rip it on anhyzer this thing just gets super stable. Im curious how it will fly with me beating it in and getting to know it even better but for now this is not a disc that I will throw in my bag. I think faster armspeed players may find this disc to be exactly what you want but for my slower armspeed it was not what I wanted.

The crank is a fantastic stable to understable distance driver. In the hands of an advanced player it will fly very similar to a beat-up Destroyer as it will glide right and finish straight after a big S pattern. Perfect for hyzer-flips and tailwind drives, but I would advise against throwing into a headwind unless you are planning for a roller.

The crank is a great neutral flying disc. For beginners it will fly straight with a good fade at the end. For professional, thrown on hyzer it will flip to flat ride right a good ways before landing flat or with a tiny fade

Great Wraith Alternative. Feels good in hand and is perfect if you want to disc down from the destroyer or nuke but solely for the purpose of throwing smoother and slower. Just like the Wraith to Destroyer, I believe with the right mechanics, the Crank will really go just as far. Pretty controllable and predictable into moderate winds forehand and backhand. I prefer it backhand because I find mine to be at least a little bit less stable than my Champ Glow Wraith same weight.

I have 4 Crank's all with different stability from very overstable to understable.  I find the original 12/5/-1/2 rating is more accurate than the new 13/5/-2/2 rating as the Crank feels similar to a destroyer but a little less stable (but that depends on plastic, age, etc.).

I actually found this disc at a course with no name on it or I woulda returned it. Due to the fact I've lost disc in the past that i loved more than my wife but never got the pho e call for them. Anyways I've never seen this disc before and it had 174g on it with no other info. So I threw it and this baby flies great. If your a experienced person but when I got home and looked it up on DISCRAFT.COM  there was no info other than it's fast and made more for beginners. I disagree with that, especially when your driver's drivers are pushing 172 an up. You can't throw a disc that (on here said Speed 12 glide 5 turn -1 and fade 2... I weigh all my disc even if it's store bought or ordered. Come to find out this disc weighed 170 and digging a lil more on it and it's true weight it came out to to SPEED-13 GLIDE-5 TURN -2 AND FADE 2... Great disc in all I use it quiet often, but you really got to put all power into it or it won't fly the way it supposed to. And weigh all your disc as well. Guaranteed they all dont weigh what there actually suppodsu to, and whoever reads this also knows that'll piss you off when a disc is falsely advertised. Love this site tho. Great disc and awesome info. Keep it up and DISC ON EVERYBODY.

Great max distance driver. The Crank is the first disc I ever threw over 400 feet. In the Big Z plastic it is nice and controllably overstable out of the box and beats in to be flippy but still controllable. This is part of why it can be thrown so far. The rim is quite large but still feels good in the hand. I would recommend this disc for anyone who feels like they're ready for a distance driver for tail winds and as much distance as possible.

If you're an intermediate noodle arm like me and you can't quite handle a destroyer, this is going to get you a fuller flight. It really hits a sweet spot of stability where you can get enough turn out of it to put you down the field without sacrificing too much control or risk imgur.com a burnout, as with extremely understable "easy distance" molds. It feels really nice in the hand for a distance driver, including forehands, for which it is not known for some reason but really is perfect for. I can get longer forehands out of this disc than anything else in my bag.

Highly underrated disc. The Crank is easy to overlook when the Nuke is around. The Nuke is faster, but I think the Crank has slightly better glide. Nice, neutral stability. The Crank handles big rips well. It'll pop up a bit and start to slowly turn over before straightening up and gliding for a long way. Mellow fade too. Head to head I can throw the Crank and Nuke about the same distance. Difference is, the Crank is easier to achieve that distance with.

This is the perfect driver for guys who want some serious distance, but don't quite have the arm to flex out Nukes consistently. I'd recommend it easily. Fun and fairly easy to throw effectively.

I use this disc a lot.  It reminds me of a LONG mantis. My opinion of the mantis has changed, by the way.  and this is how:

Like the Mantis, this disc will hold a lot of lines- you can throw hzyer/anhyzer with it and it holds. Throw it straight and it holds.  It does not need much room to work side-to-side, so it's a good choice when accuracy with distance is a must.

The fact that this is a relatively straight flyer allows you to work it as needed. Get a crank and learn to throw it and you can use it on most long shots if you have room to throw the anny or the hyzer, etc.  Overhands, too for that matter. I've not rolled with this, so I can't comment on that. I use this one to go far in the air...

I find this disc to be more understanding of my desires than the destroyer or katana or boss. It's more forgiving for me.  I like it.

The Crank has quickly become a favorite for my backhand drives. It is very consistent for me. I can focus on getting the power for max distance, and not worry about the disc flipping over. It isn't enough to replace my other favorites (Katana, Roadrunner, Nuke), but it stays in my bag just in case.

I recently traded my elite z nuke SS for a big z crank, and definatly do not regret that decision. I am a forehand player (RHFH) and can throw about 350-380 feet. The thing I love about the crank is that it flies extremely straight with a slow turn followed by very little fade. Being used to throwing bosses and katanas, flying straight with very little play was a new concept for me. I love being able to rely on this disc to consistantly hit those 350 foot holes that need to have a very straight flight pattern in order to avoid trees. Definatly a hole filler in my bag.

One of my go to discs for RHBH. I have this Disc in the big z line and its very stable and predictable.  I currently bag two of these one best in and one new. I can get the bet in disc to hold a Anhyzer line a lot better than the new one. My beat in crank I have also been able to crank hard with a slight Anhyzer line and have it flight perfectly straight. My new crank is a lot more stable and I find it to be harder to get it hold a anhyzer line.
